  1. Maybe it's because no other team trains at SMP or Ralston.
  2. Their presence on this forum (but not necessarily at Greenhill Road) was not inconsequential last season and they are starting off this season in typical fashion. They take their pleasure from being negative and not by encouraging the players, some of whom are still in their teens.
  3. What is the end game of these boo-boy numpties? Do they believe their booing will help the players to perform better? Who do they think will replace their 'victims' after the transfer deadline is closed? Do they under-estimate and appreciate the value of a supportive crowd to the success of the team on the park? Do they actually attend matches?
  4. Let's not wallow in our mediocrity just yet - give it another week.
  5. We may miss them as individual players and I certainly appreciated their individual skills, but they were both key players in a team which deteriorated drastically since our 2013 league cup triumph. Perhaps the managers were to blame for that. I would settle this season for a team that wins us some points and has us challenging for promotion. If that happens McLean and McGinn's individual skills will not be missed. Their legacy will just be fond memories.
  6. I raised this topic not because I thought McLean and McGinn were rubbish. In my opinion they were two of the most talented players to come through our development set up and I wish them both well with their new clubs except when in opposition to us. However other teams in the SPL with less talented individuals amassed more points than us over the seasons both of them were involved with us. Murray seems to be signing the right type of player to fit into a team set up and if we can achieve better results without McLean and McGinn we will only be looking forward instead of backwards for a change.
  7. Looking back to the disastrous first half of last season when they were both "starring" for St Mirren, and when we were nearly pointless and goalless, will we miss these two this season with the influx of new blood brought in so far?
  8. Murray's not doing his chances of becoming the next Hibs manager any good.
  9. How about offering the likes of Lord Pity Me, Elvis and Stuart Dickson the chance to act in a positive role for their beloved club for a change? Any other suggestions?
  10. Quote from today's Evening Times by Mark Spalding :- "We’ll do our usual opposition analysis, get the scouts down to watch them, and devise our game plan from there. It’s a midweek game which is always ideal for keeping the boys ticking over.” Who are they?
  11. The first glimmer of hope and substance from anyone at Westminster for generations. Mhairi is a credit to our beloved Paisley.
  12. I can exclusively reveal the inspiration for the new design - Start Point Lighthouse on Sandae, Shetland. Glad they dispensed with the yellow collar though.
  13. The fans have a big part to play next season. No one could blame them (even without hindsight) for their negativity at the the start of last season. However, it's time to let bygones be bygones, and give IM & Co all the encouragement we can muster. Let's not prejudge the new manager and players (including Gow) before they have had the chance to prove themselves within the new setup. Just let's hope that the BoD are more up for the challenge than they were last season.
  14. Now that you have all got Eurovision out your system, going back to Greenhill Road next season might seem quite an attractive proposition!
  15. After the season we've had, you are now actually going to watch the Eurovision Song Contest? Things are now starting to fall into place!
  16. On this day in 2015 for the first time this year, we have something approaching optimism on here (with one or two exceptions). Come on BoD make our joy complete this weekend and launch our new strip for 2015/16 - traditional black and white stripes.
  17. Without supporters like you - the future is bright.
  18. No - but like you I don't know very much about Dumbarton. It must be a great encouragement to the new manager to have this kind of support.
