Don't personally have any issues with Ricky.  Seems to be a few folk on here who seem to think that they have views above the 'average ' posters on here.  Let the mods decide who is cluttering threads etc, and quit with the shit stirring and bickering.  Never seen so many folk supporting the same team arguing, insulting each other.  It's bloody pathetic and its the one thing that ruins this forum.  Rant over

Not at all, offering opinion is different from classing what posts/threads you deem to be cluttering, repetative etc.  Wind your neck in and stop being a fandan.  Look forward to what is going on with the club and what will be for the new season, instead of ranting about who is worthy of the sin bin.  If the mods want to sin bin me, and provide valid rational for it, I will accept their decision.

Top 6 would be great, but judging by squad we have, New manager, I think aiming for 8th or better would be good for Stubbs first season. I do hope we have a cracker but trying to be realistic too. Ultimately as long as we stay up I will be pleased. Just hoping we give a good show of ourselves and show we belong in the premiership

Not the best name but if the company are paying us a good price for naming rights, its valuable money in the bank for us.
Insulting 'some of our support' is very uncool, and In my opinion, a poor show of yourself.

Can't remember ever being like your good self on here but duly noted.  Hope the new kits look good, all sizes are catered for and the quality issues with last year's kit are not repeated this year.  Onwards and upwards with a great looking kit (I hope)

I'm  sure it will still be better know as 'St Mirren park' whatever the new name will be, a bit like 'The Squinty Bridge'  I have never heard anyone refer to it as 'The Clyde Arc Bridge'.  The stadium will be referred to as the fans see it,  the chosen name by the company and club is merely for media exposure.  Although, I wonder If BBC Radio Scotland will still refer to it as 'New St.Mirren park'

I personally can't commit to a season ticket right now(for personal reasons that I won't bore people with) but IF I could,I would without a seconds thought, regardless of managerial appointment or players.I Love St Mirren and will attend as many games as I can and hope we do well. COYS

Shame we don't have the Kit out now to capitalize on the current club/team public interest and given that Holiday season is upon us.......

A perceived religious overtone, that strangely seems to be coming mostly from your good self.  We should also ban Santa (St Nicholas)  Forget Scotland's Patron saint (St Andrew) and ban the big dugs, that help rescue lost climbers with wee barrels of booze or baccy, round their necks (Saint Bernard)   The only problems with Saint/ST seem to be rooted in certain parts of communities, that have a few more brain cells missing than most normal, rational people that don't let bigotry get in the way of things, or that get offended by perceived overtones that few others do.  Seems to be more of YOUR OWN perception that needs to be addressed.  Just my own opinion.

Us at the Cockles Wilson Bus have a great rapport with JR and the players due to most the singing section travel on our buses. We have been lucky that the players in the last few years enjoy coming to our less formal POTY night. And it's always a great night. So we count our selfs lucky and hope the players will continue to enjoy wee shandy at the Banky. We also thank Ronnie and his great staff for there continued support of the bus.[emoji460][emoji6]????

It's a possibility, although naming the stadium will be likely to be who is willing to pay most to do it.   The renaming of the railway station is also a possibility. When I lived in Newcastle a few years back, the Metro station nearest St.James's park was named that and was decked out in black and white as opposed to the yellow in the rest of the stations, and Scotrail did rename Exhibition Centr station to Craiglang (although was just for the duration of Still Game 2 being on at the hydro)

I know Jack's SMTID sign off on his dear John letter got a lot of folks backs up, and felt his speeches were insincere because he jumped ship for the makers,  but the fact is he is gone and no amount of moaning, analysing what he has said will change it.  I'm not happy he has left BUT I also understand he has a family and if someone was offering any of us substantially more in term of salary alone (not taking into account a budget for players) it would be insane to not consider going for it-Good luck to him and he leaves with my thanks for dragging us from the brink of relegation to league 1 back into the premiership.  Now moving on, managers and players will come and go but St.Mirren will still be here and we need to get behind the team and manager, whoever that may be  as things will be tough in the premiership, but if we show the same character and spirit as last season, I'm confident we can do well. Rant over.

Back to the topic, any news on a new kit? I know some people are of the thought that 'grown ups shouldn't wear fitba tops'  but I personally don't mind and have bought a fair few over the years, but would be good to know if a new home top is being released and what we will get the replace last year's 'dish towel' away kit.  Would be good if it was out soon, so that the warns can play wearing their top during the summer holidays, and us adults who want to, can wear them for the start of the new season.

Just a thought. GLS and Tony confirmed that they had no approach from Sunderland. At no time have either said that Jack (then a St Mirren emplo yee) didn't let them know what he was doing. The reason compensation was increased was because Sunderland (not Jack Ross) didn't follow established protocol. Smart thinking by our board.

Is this not a bit premature? We have a manager in place.  I'm sure the Board has considered the possibility of JR leaving, but surely there's time enough for supporters  to start speculating on another manager when we know that the present incumbent has gone? For what it's worth, I don't think whoever comes in will give us a season like the one we've just enjoyed.

I have nothing but respect for Jack, and our club and board but this is becoming a bit tedious, I understand a lot of clubs are impressed with what he has done for us and he is evaluating all possibilities to expand his experience, and no doubt, to do the best for his family which I also totally respect- but I also feel that if he does not take the opportunities offered so far, he should commit to St Mirren for the season ahead, then if he still feels the desire to move on, then look into it.  Regardless of what he decides, I wish him all the best- and also urge the board to make preparations to recruit, should we need to.  Just my own opinion.
