  1. I can see both sides of the argument, the club wanting to thank those that have bought season tickets and maybe encourage a few more folks to buy one to get the chance to visit the stadium is a good idea IMO. However the suggestion of a kids day is a great idea too. Who knows that may happen on that front... So if you are reading this thread and have any influence get it sorted!!! I am sad to see however the that the tremendous feeling of support and faith that we all had in those that have guided the club from the precipice of relegation to a strong position ready for next season is waining and the voices of ridicule and despair are growing again.
  2. I'm not a regular poster but I regularly follow most of the threads.. It's been a success for me. It's cut down on what is discussion for some, banter to others, bullying to a few and mindless drivel to many. We are all Saints fans (I think), we all want the club to do well and have different views on how that's going to be achieved. Some felt that they had been blessed by such an insight to what was wrong that everyone else was either too dumb or stubborn to see it.. Anyway less threats veiled or otherwise, fewer maniacal ramblings and not so many pointless threads has made the forum a better experience.. But that's just me, we're all different, and just because I don't like some content shouldn't mean we don't allow it... So let bygones be bygones and let the prodigal children return, slaughter the fattened calfs and brace ourselves for what we are about to receive...
  3. Murray has gone. And wether you felt it appropriate to boo him or thank him is now a total irrelevance. Either way I couldn't care less about who boo'd who... You pay your money and you make your choices, and one persons moral compass is very different from another, so FFS stop bickering, trying to get one up on a fellow Saints fan, it's becoming boring... What has to happen now is for the guys some of you call knicker wetters, keyboard warriors and every other insult you can dish out to Saints fans to get behind the new manager whoever they... Four very simple letters COYS And on the off chance I've insulted anyone I'll say sorry and please...
  4. We are down, but we will return... If all the Knickerwetters.. Unionists.. Nationalists.. & Tiresome.. on here rally together and remember we are Saints.. So all you K.U.N.T.S. Let's get behind the Team COYS
  5. Is it at all possible for us to stick to talking about St Mirren and try to leave egos out of this? It seems some posters are more concerned getting one over on their fellow Saints fans than actually discussing the Club! We all support the same club, I think?
  6. My third and final post on the forum. We are all St Mirren fans and want the club to prosper. We all have different views on how this can be achieved, and reading the opinions of fans that differ from mine are interesting, entertaining and in some instances informative. But what is none of the above are the bullying tactics of a few individuals who seem to think that their opinions are the only views that matter and others should be ridiculed. It's admirable to see fans who can express theirs opinions, justify their views and offer a defence of these without lowering themselves to slagging people off and offering veiled threats. I know that I'll probably be criticised for this post, but narrow minded people who resort to the last bastion of the uneducated only stifle diversity and open discussion.
  7. I Have posted only once before on the forum in defence of DL, reminding my fellow Saints fans of everything we achieved last season, of the outstanding performance in the semi-final of the League Cup and calling for him to be given more time.. Well he's been given time and has assembled what appears on paper to be a very good squad, with a mixture of youth and experience.. That is where it ends sadly.. He has developed an uncanny ability to get players to under perform and shrinks back into the dugout at the first sign of things not going our way, which is pretty much most of the time.. I never thought I would come on here asking for DL to go, but I am.. I fear that if something isn't done imminently then we are stuck above Hearts with no prospect of upward movement.. I don't subscribe to jeering at the stadium and talk of protests are ridiculous, but the BoD must see what awaits us unless they act.. I feel genuinely sorry it's come to this but it isn't working, so thank you DL for some wonderful memories and take the opportunity to walk away with at least some integrity......
  8. Would like to thank "Shull" for this thread, it was overdue, it's good to read posts supporting DL and not speculating who should replace him.. So FAO of the board, Lennon must stay....
  9. I've not been on the forum before, but have read with interest the varied views that my fellow Saints fans are expressing. Danny Lennon led, and some could say inspired a cut price bunch of youngsters guys on loan and ageing players to cup glory last season.. Was it a fluke, who knows but after both the semi-final and the final he could almost have walked on water.. He deserves something back from us.. Faith... With a small budget and a few guys who haven't stepped up to be counted this season what are we expecting.. I've heard the rumours that the he's lost the dressing room, and that their's successors waiting in the wing but think of the elation we all experienced pumping Celtic in the semi then winning the cup.. That alone gives him in my opinion more time to sort out poor start to the season,
