You have to make sure you have any previous uninstalled, if not uninstall tat one and the one you downloaded there and make sure its gone, restart and then download again.

When other hard drive was installed XP jammed. It wouldnt load and said remove disks or other media and press any key to restart!!!!!???? then xp loaded up.??? So i removed the pesky disk and it all works fine again but need the new drive to move stuff into. I'm now at the point of bashing in the bloody computer with my trusty sledgehammer! help?

Also just received an email, with the advice on the jumper settings which i'm more confused with. the old drive to be set at master slave setting and the newer drive to be set at slave. Is this anything to do with the cable select setting? I don't know!

Have decided to install another hard drive as my main drive is running out of space. I've read many 'help' files but they make me more confused. I don't know where its going wrong. Reset the jumper to slave on the newer drive but its still not working and the auto detect won't work. Do i need to get a y splitter for the power to the drive? do i need more cables? do i have to re-assign the drive letter name. The old drive has been partitioned, does this matter. Advice please.

After getting the new and improved Messenger, I wanted to try out the handwriting section. Then it told me I hadn't got the update that is required. I went to try to retrieve the update and it told me I needed xp service pack 2. I HAVE xp service pack 2. Then after page after page it told me i had to validate my copy of XP, fine. It tells me I have a problem validating it, I called the company I purchased the PC from they assured me it is fine and ok, I was told it was probably just a problem on that web page. I am very pissed off. Any ideas?

tried to go into the add remove programs section in the control panel to have a look to see if i can have a clear out of unwanted progs that i re-installed from the old hard-drive. weird s***e goin on............. theres a few progs i dont recognise n when i tried to change/remove them it said something like unable to remove http://lots of s***e that i dont know or understand? help anyone? i dont want to delete anything that may f**k up the machine!

this is doing my nut in! upgraded my pc n re-installed nthell n set my homepage through the tools option thing n now everytime i click the homepage it says about:blank n porn pop ups keep appearing. i know your saying hey porn man! but it gets boring after a while, n its old grannys! yuck! help? yes i have installed a pop up blocker but it doesnt seem to be f**king working! help?
