Entitled to your opinion man... but offence is taken - not given. Thin line between being “offensive” and banter. We toe the line at times

............ If the new manager does as well as the one before last did we'll lose him in no time at all. ....... It's the way of the football world. .... At the moment Coleraine fans will be just as pissed-off as we were when Jack the Lad done one to Sunderland. ...... The Mackems will be just as pissed-off when Jack wins them the league and then f**ks-off to bigger and better. ..... It's just how it works. ...

Don't want to derail the thread too much as this should be all about our new gaffer, but seen this comment made a few times now.
W7 is all about noise, colour, culture. A big part of that is banter and winding up rival fans. Its been part of football since football began. I'm not sure if you want Scottish fitba to end up like the English Premiership, where everything is robotic, controlled and no fun is allowed.
To slightly amend the quote of an ex manager... "If you want sterilised entertainment, go to the cinema"
Looking forward to welcoming Oran on Friday night. W7 will be bouncing

It’s amazing how you can get a vibe from a manager even before they have taken charge of a game. Right from the first interview I watched from Stubbs I had a feeling things weren’t going to work out...he was very dismissive of the part the fans can play at St. Mirren, which was polar opposite from Jack Ross who mentioned the bond between the players and fans in literally every interview I seen.
Kearney seems very much in the mould of Jack Ross going by the testimonials of his ex-players and chairman. The only thing I’m surprised about is that the board didn’t offer it to him in the summer. It’s easy looking back in hindsight though and obviously the board believed they were making the correct decision in appointing Stubbs.

When he took over they were in a financial crisis he steadied the ship kept them up got through a difficult period and then won them their first silverware in history along with a second place finish. This season he has led them to the top of the league. I think that's a pretty good record don't you -

My favourite was the opening game display. Rising Sun over the whole West Stand. Very well thought out by some talented and passionate young people.

Gutted to lose Oran as our manager, gentleman and very mart man, I really hope he does well for your club, group of us are wishing to come over and see him manage a game, how would we get some tickets.
I believe Oran took the boat over this morning, he took training last night and told the players he is taking the St Mirren job.

I just don’t understand this point of view. Jack was brilliant for us and we we’re brilliant for Jack. He got a fantastic offer that every single one of us would’ve snapped up.
Here’s hoping the new manager is being courted next summer as it means things have gone really well.
We need to learn to accept this with grace.

Who could blame Jack for taking the chance at Sunderland? Life changing opportunity and if he does well no end to what he can achieve. Not even taking into account the wage rise, the facilities, the fan base.. Alan Archibald was hot property two seasons ago. Now no one would look twice. It’s a fickle game. Jack did a great job, gave us a fantastic season last season.. which many of us older guys might not see again... Mr Stubbs was always a poor choice, not enough homework.. crazy length of contract. We just have to hope the new guy (OK or whoever) can repair the damage Mr Stubbs has done. Our record picking managers is not great. -

Not exactly Ross' fault though. He could only accept when offered. Unfortunate for us.

The board and Stubbs perhaps.
Ross took us from a dark place with nothing but doom and gloom to a place of euphoria.
He left us to continue his upward journey. I wasn't happy with the way he left but it was entirely up to the board who they put in place to carry things forward.

Yep. And how did it end up with those three? With "fans" telling them to f**k off....
Probably with a hangman's noose. As per f**king usual......

Got a mate in work from N.Ireland who’s best mate plays in the Irish league. We were talking about this last night and his mate who has played under Kearney at Coleraine a few seasons ago says he’s the best manager he’s worked under and is a brilliant man manager.
He thinks it will be a brilliant appointment [emoji1303]

Can we save the "OK must go" thread until he starts f**king up and we actually want him to go?
Instead of the Subbs must go thread on his first day in the job. Seemed to tempt fate a little.

Just an example of roles within large businesses. Who knows what kind of business you run, nor do I care.
I’ve also never bothered to read any posts about your business on here until now due. Truth be told your posts have been given a wide bearth for years. Should probably put you on ignore like most sensible posters do.
Given the way you come across on this forum i’m not surprised you treat family members (staff) the way you say. -

to the contrary. I am impressed that the club recognise that it isn't working an act quickly. maybe because I've been of the opinion that it wasn't working..i don't think he could've left the playing staff in a worse state in such a short period of time. shocking recruitment
