Current form is not good. I agree. Is it enough to fire the manager? For me, no it's not.
With the players we have now we will win games. I expect a 7th or 8th place finish and I worry if we change management we will not get that

BTW changing a manager AFTER the transfer window has shut, without ANY clue as to who might be available, how much it would cost to get them, how much it would cost to remove Danny and how long it would take to get through the recruitment process (probably 4 weeks) just 7 games before the split is plain common sense? Aye OK kendo. Hilarious and as FS says above, calm down dear it's only a sport FFS. Chances are we'll be relegated sometime - probably soon as historically we've never been a top flight side for very long. It's almost as though you don't know your history.

It's a shame the usual bastards with an anti-Danny agenda can't come on here and give him a little credit for this.
Whether this works or not you can't accuse Danny of not having a go at improving things.
Between Adam, Josh, Wylde, resigning Conor and now Eric, this has been a fabulous transfer window for us.
Add in Kello as well and actually overall Danny hasn't done too badly for signings.
We've dumped a fair amount of shite and have brought 4 or 5 seriously good players in to replace them.
I would still like to see a centre half but I don't expect we'll do that now.
Just need some fecking league wins now and a good Cup run and by March we'll be talking about how amazing this season has been.

Of course not. My point is that as a club who has had no money for 30 years, we have punched above our weight. Of the SPL clubs today, ourselves, Killie and Partick are the clubs with the least cash and as such, will always struggle to retain their status in the top flight. I don't understand the constant negativity about the manager or individual players. A bit of realism is something Saints fans have always lacked. Unless a Ross County type sugar daddy appears on the scene, this is the reality of being a Buddie. I for one have always enjoyed the annual fight against the drop. The heady days of the eighties when we offered Dundee £1 million for Coyne and Coyle will never happen again.

Some people don't seem to ever be happy. Perhaps it is me who is wrong, but St.Mirren playing top flight football occasionally playing fantastic football and having relative success in recent cup competitions is progress in the last 20 years in my opinion. Times change, football has changed, we're starting to focus on bringing youth players through, yes I'm baffled by our hot and cold nature too but a wee but of positivity from some would go a long way.
