Baby Crew (1/14)

  1. Dreadful negative team selection, dreadful hit n hope tactics, dreadful defending and ‘too little too late’ subs. One of the most pitiful semi final ‘performances’ I can remember from any side. Felt we were always going to lose from the second minute onwards. Jim deserves all the stick he will undoubtedly get for this. He’d better shake this safety first bullshit. The month of January has been a disgrace. If we don’t reverse our fortunes sharpish we can easily get sucked back into the mire. Long gone are those performances against Aberdeen when we actually started to look like a good team.
  2. Killie showing that with effort and application the ‘gulf in class’ can be significantly narrowed. They might still lose but there’s no doubt they are in this game. Over recent years nearly everybody in the league has been able to notch something over one of the big two (usually Sevco). Our players consistently show an embarrassing ‘wee team’ mentality. I’d take a couple of hidings for the magic of an occasional victory. We never EVER look like getting one.
  3. As others have pointed out...our attempts to keep possession against Livi were woeful so no surprise we’re getting a doing off the financially doped bigots. Even when we’re playing reasonably well we tend to shit ourselves against the gruesome twosome.
  4. Feels a bit odd as we head into this game. Their poor form is a big surprise as they are comfortably the best side we’ve played this season. We were in a good run of form when they cuffed us at EEP.
  5. Agree with a lot of the previous comments but for me the biggest issue by far (and the biggest on-field problem in Scottish football) is lack of movement. Supposedly the kids are all now taught about movement off the ball and giving the man in possession options. Not seen much evidence of it I'm afraid. Lost count of the number of times we had the ball in wide area and the only option was a punt down the channel to a striker lumbering slowly off the defenders shoulder. I know barca are not exactly typical but when you see their games 90% of the passes they make are piss easy 5 yarders because the man on the ball always has options. Team mates are always on the move making angles. Scottish teams are inferior to teams from similar sized euro countries primarily because everyone (other than us) has learned this. Our current saints side a perfect example. Too static and frankly lazy. To be honest though...yesterday we couldn't even complete piss easy 5 yard passes. Fortunately we know they are capable of better.
  6. Can't quite understand the stick for his performances this season. I think he's been well above average. When we've created chances it's almost always been from his passes or mazy runs. The Hamilton game I'll give you ..but everyone was pish that day.
  7. One thing that sticks out in my mind about the premier league season was one game an Dens. Corner to Dundee right in front of us and Claudio Cannigia World Cup winner with Argentina was being marked by Scott Walker free transfer from the 'shire. We were NEVER going to stay up. To echo Hhibss earlier comments...the buzz of the previous season will probably never be topped in my lifetime and TH will always be a hero to me.
  8. Thats cool....I figured that was the case....but it didn't look great for someone expecting the usual padlock and https url. Thats as much as most people know about internet security.
  9. I yup - I'm afraid putting a padlock and 'Protected' on the physical page does not mean it's secure...and in fact makes it look like a v hooky site.
  10. I remember a horrible game down at Boghead with Eddie and Barry up front. Eddie had banged in a hat trick and big Baz had missed half a dozen sitters as we destroyed Dumbarton. 3-0 up with ten miuntes left. Final score - 3-3 ! Only St Mirren.......
