Was at hospitality yesterday and was well lubricated so the game seemed to fly by, even with the extra half hour that the ref added on at the end. 
Game of 2 halves. Utd didn’t lay a glove on us first half, brilliant goal from wee Jay  and looking like we were cruising to a victory. 
Second half was a disgrace. Although we lost the second with the last kick/header of the ball we deserved nothing. Tam Courts changed their shape and we couldn’t cope. We were second to every ball and panicked whenever we actually got the ball at our feet. Every time Ronan got the ball he had no options to hit. When Main came on, supposedly fresh, he couldn’t be arsed closing down their defenders building from the back or chasing through balls. What was Alnwick thinking trying to come out for that ball when we had defenders back? Watt actually gave a blatant shove on one of our tracking defenders which would have earned us a foul just before Jak took all the ref’s attention from that when he flattened Watt. 

That is a very ordinary Utd side’s first away league win since October. 
Well done to Shaughnessy, Erhahon and Henderson for coming up to do their duties in hospitality after the game. No sign of our manager who was allegedly telling fans to F*** off on the way off the pitch. 
Agree that we need to be patient and Robinson needs to be judged fully this time next season but his start has been really poor. Goodwin jumped ship but he left us with a good squad full of confidence. Hopefully Robinson can turn us around, but if we get beat by Well, I’m starting to look anxiously down the table rather than up. 

The first half was the best we've played under Robinson, the second was up there with the worst all season. 
When it comes down to it, we're probably not good enough for a top 6 finish. We rely heavily on Ronan pulling the strings, if he has a quiet day like today, we struggle.

Why is it a difficult one with McAllister. That has been said since he came back from Derby. Get him out and get better in as he isn't cutting it and hasn't been for whole of the 3 year deal he was given.

You obviously have not been paying attention. We are not prepared because:
1. Unlike other teams we had no idea what League we would be in until literally the last kick of the ball on 26th May. 9 weeks ago.
2. Our manager left the Club on 26th June after weeks of wrangling and no signings as he was unsure if he was staying and the Club didn't want to sign players a new manager did not want. Only 5 weeks ago.
3. New manager appointed only on 28th June. Just over 4 weeks ago.
If we had stability and was not in danger of relegation then we could have started planning months ago like most other clubs in the SPFL but we weren't.

There's a surprise. Let's be honest, Lyle Langley could come along looking for money to build a monorail between the ground and Ralston and you'd approve putting the £2 spend towards that.
Not a hope of me voting in favour of the youth academy's trip. I would vote in favour of the women's team but I'd be interested to know how much support they are getting from the club - both financially and in terms of using the facilities etc.

I do remember NBM saying that and we did want Greg Stewart right through the window but IIRC, we prioritised getting NBM ahead of Stewart and by time we made the move, bigger fish were already making the move. Easy with 20/20 hindsight but that was a massive misstep.
Halkett was a huge miss, could you imagine if we'd just spent that outlay for Heaton on Halkett instead and given him 3 years? We'd have been easily able to command high 6 figures for him by now. (EDIT: See Magic Monkey made this point just before me).
Christ, Tam O'Ware would have been better than Heaton and he missed the full season with cruciate ligament tears.
There were a few players in the early days of Stubbs that would have been a clear indicator of intent (Beltrame from Juventus - who went on to have a tremendous season in the Dutch league, Adam Rooney) and he built a rod for his own back with the 'marquee' talk.
I do agree that it's proving difficult but as other clubs now finalise squads, hopefully we'll see a bit of movement in the coming week. Again, I'm happy enough to see us wait for quality - provided it IS quality. I don't think anyone at the club is yet panicking - if they were, you get the feeling at least 2 or 3 guys like Longridge and other championship level journeymen would have been on board by now.

That's a big leap: not being prepared/able to meet May's shifting demands is not the same as breaking assurances to Goodwin. Besides, it looks like he was going to the Fakes until Dundee came in and gazumped them. I emphatically disagree that we should be getting suckered into a bidding war for a player who might not even turn out to be that good any more.

Goody offered the boy the chance to prove himself, not Gus. Just like Gus never signed Brad Lyons, he doesn’t sign every player he’s there to assist!

I am not ITK, and never will be, but I have a feeling Pop will join us. I think the Gus role will ensure that these type of deals will go through regardless of the turmoil with the manager's position - providing the stability his role is supposed to.

I like looking at the forum but really some act like bullies who hide behind social media. This is a football forum where all opinions can be added but that is what they are opinions. It is hard to imagine that Celtic would let him go, but they are more in the know than we are about how he is doing.
I think his issues boil over and effect his character, but he can score goals at a level we would be lucky to have in a striker at this level.
If he is available, the chances of him coming to us is less than 0.05 % I suspect... could we pay a wage that he would be happy with?

The club want him banned, despite the work that this guy has put in for our club, and the worst they have on him is standing on seats and a pitchside barrier. (That’s from watching cctv during games and trying to pin stuff on him) 
Wasn’t there yesterday but from what I’ve been told - the police/stewards were trying to get Dundee United fans to falsely say he spat on someone, even though he hadn’t.
It might sound like a mad conspiracy theory but someone somewhere really has it in for this particular person/group. And want this whole thing stopped. I don’t know why, it helps the club. They use the displays in club social media posts. The fan march and displays have done more to promote the club to young people in Renfrewshire than any of the clubs youth schemes ever have. 
It’s all very very weird.

This thread is going to be a mess, with the usual couple of self-righteous old wankers giving it the "why don't you follow the rules" shite.
It has been obvious for a while the club has been doing their best to put an end to the group attempting to bring some atmosphere to the stadium. The over-policing of Scottish football is ridiculous. What incidents have we even had at the ground since it opened?
As I said on another thread, the people running our club are quite happy to go and sit in the Ibrox boardroom toasting the queen while our fans get objects and spit showered on them, happy to hand over the stadium to Celtic and Sevco every time they come and let them do whatever they want, but not bothered in the slightest that they are driving fans of all generation away from the club.

The thing is you don't always get what you want. We have already signed 4 players who were targeted which is pretty decent. You want a player and them wanting you are two different things. Maybe the Slovaks' families did not want to move to Scotland; maybe they got better offers; maybe there are injury concerns; maybe they are house hunting right now. Once you have ran through all your targets (remember EVERY club is looking for players) you have then to consider some that weren't originally in the frame and some than just suddenly became available. Let's chill and see what happens.

There is nothing for the club to say - the guy was only in for a trial and that presumably happens all the time. It's just the frenzy on here that made it any different. I'm sure dozens of unsigned players turn up at training throughout a season, it doesn't mean they are being given a contract.

Why don't we try and pip Rangers to Defoe while we're at it.
