Do teams get relegated face play off, win euro places in F1? It would lead to total meltdown if winners and losers were declared if the season is voided. Would uefa recognise these decisions? For that to be the case every league affected in Europe would have to follow suit. Good luck with that one

That what the govt say, I have no idea how right/wrong there estimates are. But I know when an asshole like Trump goes from declaring the whole thing is a Hoax, to declaring a National Emergency... shits happening.

What is it you arent getting? Do you think everyone with the virus is being tested? Even if the govt wanted to it has neither the test kits, or people to do and analyse the tests for every infected person. What's happening in Italy will happen here in about 4 weeks. Where doctors are forced to decide between two or more people which one has the best chance of living, and gets put on the respirator. That is coming here.... all our families will be affected, loved ones will pass away simply because our Hospitals have but a handful of respirators each. Wake up to death! It's coming to us all, when it chooses. Fyi if our Govt estimates there are now in excess of 20,000 people infected... how many do you think are, or have been in Italy?

Again for the umpteenth time the 300,000 - 500,000 estimated death rate is a govt estimate, not mine. And yes you are 'us'. Being 'us' means doing the right things that helps all of 'us'. If that's not your bag then it's back to 'you'.

Footballers haven't got anywhere else to go. They will accept short contract extensions. If this season is to he completed. They'll have 2-3 months off now. So a mini break between 19/20 and 20/21 seasons with no winter break.

Epl & Efl both look likely to join UEFA and postpone all fixtures with immediate effect. For two weekends till international break. Then review. Pressure will be on Spfl & Sfa to follow suit! Killie game might be a bogey... but the seethe from the bigots will be a joy to behold.

Aye, but if the ruling body set it up then they would facilitate it by appropriate opening/closing of the transfer window. I.e. no moves out or in until 19/20 season complete. Then two week transfer window. Would be a quicker, slicker turnaround. Let's face it who doesn't dread the long transfer window dragging on?

With players now testing positive (same old, same old) then the likelihood is the season will be halted early as even closed doors games, with players all over each other at set pieces etc.. is a risk. With that in mind I would go for cancelling the league cup next season, maybe starting a wee bit early with Summer football, then completing the games, pull the winter break forward to September and start the 20/21 season then. Any thoughts?
