  1. Oh no, we're doomed.......................I suggest some paper hankies and a cup of hot orange juice.......................I'm not a real doctor. [emoji38]
Evidence from around the world has suggested that for the vast majority of those infected the symptoms will be "very mild".
I dont disagree. The issue is up to 80% of us will catch it, and theres nothing we can do to stop it now. Unless you cut yourself off from all human and some animal contact until its run its course.
  2. You really are a drama queen. [emoji38]
PS Where was the massive outbreak from any of Celtics, or any football teams, last game? :1eye
It takes 14 days to become apparent.
Just think Scotstoun Sports Centre and the women's rugby squad! And we are only talking hundreds moving through there.
Tomorrow you've got nearly another 60000 at Murrayfield..! These two events alone will see it spread through the central belt and beyond.
  3. You could work for the Sun spreading utter shite........................

    From the NHS website............................

Do I need to avoid public places?

Most people can continue to go to work, school and other public places.

You only need to stay away from public places (self-isolate) if advised to by the 111 online coronavirus service or a medical professional.

So, are you saying that it's more likely that no one in a crowd of 60000 will have the virus?

C'mon its a racing statistical certainty. That some people attending will have it, and could pass it on.

All those coughs, sneezes and spittle laden rants like you are prone to... lol

Edit: noted that there is no "its ok" advice about getting up close and personal with 60000 strangers. Wonder why that is?

  4. Sobering thought, if another was needed for those attending the game st Septic Park today...
Given they expect 60000 then its inevitable some of those will be infected with Co-Vid 19.
Could be a fellow or opposing fan, steward, polis or pie stall staff..?
On a lighter note the government have issued new advice to keep the threat of the virus in our minds...
    " Co-Vid 19, oh I swear (what he means)
At this moment, you mean everything
You sneezed on your dress, my thoughts I confess
    Verge on dirty
    Ah, co-vid 19

    Co-Vid 19

  5. OK, so you don't like Mullen. You need to stick to the points being discussed though.
Actually I do like Mullen, he is an out and out tryer, always puts in a shift. But he simply isnt a striker, he never holds the ball up.

That's why Obika has been so important for us, and why Danny is bench warming at best.

Danny runs till he loses it, Obika is a handful for any defender, holds it up, and gets in the box to finish.

  6. Mullen wants to play striker?
Aye... that's the position he thinks he's best at. But he invariably ends up running out to, and tries to run back in from the wing before being dispossessed, or fluffing it.
The reason we, and Obika are scoring and picking up more points is simply that Obika can hold it up, and bring others in to play.
With Mullen he just runs till he loses it or on the odd occasion gets a shot away.
He wastes way too much possession.
That's why Goody doesn't rate him.
  7. No one seems to be suggesting obika should be replaced by mullen. We are however playing with 2 forwards in most games. It's not beyond the realms of possibilities that we replace one forward with mullen either to start or during a game.

He is, IMO, close to Durmus as the best finisher we have at the club.
    He's not Jim's signing though
I refer you to my previous answer. Mullen wants to play striker. Obika is literally... head & shoulders above him.
  8. The move fell through as Dundee needed a left back as news  that day their regular left back was out for some time
Poor Danny he should be getting used as sub as he can score goals
If your go to men aren't doing the business swallow your pride and do what best for the club
But Obika is scoring, in fact he is twice as effective as Mullen was.
    Mullen ain't a striker!
  9. It hasn't escaped everyone's notice that Danny Mullen has hardly played a game this season which, given his contribution in saving us from relegation last season, (especially against Dundee Utd) raises the question, 'why'?
Under the Kearney regime Danny was up there amongst the best we had.  This season, I still believe he is more than capable of excelling himself beyond the level of creativity some of the others in forward positions have demonstrated.  I feel at least he should be used as a sub and hopefully break the repetitive failures of those subs who are continually picked.  So, what's happening?  If he is unfit then he wouldn't be on the bench.  We couldn't say, 'off-form' as he hasn't been playing enough to evaluate his form which leads me to the speculative reasoning that Jim and Danny have disagreements.  Generally, I have more sympathy with the manager under those circumstances as they have greater responsibilities in dealing every aspect of organising the playing squad than having to change strategy to accommodate a single player.  However, it's also part of managerial tasks to resolve problems between manager and players who have arrived at this unfortunate point.
After last night's result the egos must now be laid aside as the future of the club in the Premiership is now under threat.  Danny should now be given a chance.
Goody/the club wanted him (Danny Diver)gone in January. Dont know why his move to Dundee fell through. He simply isnt rated by Goody as his return on chances created/given is so poor.
Although he thinks he's a six foot plus striker he is a half decent championship winger.
He gets bossed in every game in this league.
  10. Not really, Ross County play Us Hearts and Hamilton pre split. Then we play Hearts so points getting dropped all over the place.  Also as we will have played more away games than home pre split we will have Three homes games after it, this means that as it stands St Johnstone, Hamilton or Hearts will have to visit us.  Still in the driving seat as I see it

Aye.. but by that time any of the clubs around us could have more points!

What if we draw with Hearts & County, or worse draw one, lose one, and lose the other three pre split games?

We seem to draw with most around us.

    Remaining pre-split fixtures:

    Hamilton

    Kilmarnock (h)

    Ross County (a)

    Hibs (h)

    St Johnstone (a)

    Hearts

    Motherwell (h)

    St. Mirren (a)

    Livingston (a)

    Ross County (h)

    Aberdeen (a)

    Ross County

    Rangers (h)

    Hamilton (h)

    Hearts (a)

    St. Mirren (h)

    St. Mirren

    Celtic (a)

    Hearts (h)

    Kilmarnock (a)

    Rangers (h)

    Ross County (a)

Four points from the last six available is good. We now need 14 points from the remaining 30 available, and I expected the majority of those to come after the split.

    Remaining fixtures:

    Celtic (a)

    Hearts (h)

    Kilmarnock (a)

    Rangers (h)

    Ross County (a)

    *Hearts (a)

    *Hamilton (a)

    *Ross County (h)

    *St Johnstone (a)

    *Kilmarnock (h)

    *Predicted post-split games

The problem highlighted there is we don't play Hamilton again before the split, which means we cant affect them to our advantage.
Like I said we will need one or two clubs with nowt to play for to do it a favour.
