At 50 quid a year I would consider joining, but £10 a month on top of the 50 bucks I won’t be bothering, Shame really...

Taking Wycombe a fourth tier team to a league cup semi final, only to be put out by Chelsea after drawing 1-1 in the first leg. Then taking Norwich to the premier league after back to back promotions and successfully keeping them in the premier league before moving on to villa, who he kept in the epl for 3 seasons with a sh.it budget... not bad for being overrated..

Some of our fans actually LOVE seeing the club struggle. They postively revel in it!!

Reading this thread and a few more, I'm sure me and the boy will get a ticket no probs for the final if we do reach it... As a player who never quite made the grade due to one reason or another, I managed to play and win a few Mickey Mouse finals in my time and enjoyed the occasion, I'm sure if we make the final the saints players will enjoy the day out...Mickey Mouse cup or not...

Most would hope so but far too early to get excited.
Would I swap todays victory fot 3 points next week........................aye.

Good win and a confidence booster for everyone, it wasn't pretty at times but the better managed team won on the day, the gaffer had the balls to bring the two kyles into the team and there proving they deserve to be there, both wee decent today, added to that the lads that weren't involved today in Quinn, Webster, Gordon and Hardie. There's a good squad of players there, hopefully start getting points on the board and climbing the table.

Did Jim not set the striker up for the chance that should have seen Gordon sent off? He should still be at st mirren in one capacity or another, absolute travesty to let him go, sure he might not be the most gifted of players out there but he certainly makes up for it with his work ethic.

As usual your lot can't see beyond getting one over on Newcastle. Ask any SAFC fan for their greatest footballing memory and i bet it would involve a Newcastle downfall of some sort. Mine would involve Beating Barcelona and Juventus in the champions league and trips around Europe. Don't like Allardyce but i agree with him when he said your club needs to get away from laps of honour for merely staying in the division year after year. You can't keep scrapping to avoid the drop annually. It'll catch up with you sooner or later. Just remember when you're trying to take the p*ss. Things in football can change and quite quickly. Bang on fella, there was a couple of bigger and better clubs in for him before he signed for the saints, but he made it clear to his agent from the off the club he wanted to go to, the rest is history..

Deserves a send off befitting a former captain and top scorer who could have lined his pockets for the last few years of his career but chose to come home and help us to our first ever Scottish League Cup win.

Not a great Saints fan, but massive respect and thanks to the steward (Angela) at the Dumbarton game yesterday. I had my wallet in an unsafe pocket due to having other pockets stuffed with #buythebuds leaflets. I was on the bus about 300 yards along the road home when my phone rang and it was a member of the staff at the ground telling me that they had my wallet, i got off the bus ran back to the ground and got the wallet and contents back, astounding honesty from a poorly paid steward.
