How many will Dundee beat us by watching them tonight there way better than us and will definitely finish 5 th.
Absolutely
Dundee are way better - explains them being 2 points behind us after 33 games and with a significantly inferior goal difference
🙄🙄🙄
Oops 🤦🤦🤦
-
Not a bad set of fixtures - should Sevco win tomorrow night that would certainly help us - if we avoid defeat against Dundee that should be enough for us to clinch 5th 🤞🤞

As long as the manager's still based in Paisley I'm not too fussed.
He's already shown he can get the best out of players who were slagged off by the knowledgeable supporters.
👍👍
Spot on and agree totally with your last paragraph
I would add that managing in Paisley as well as being based there would be even better 😎

Ah well
Motherwell scoring a 94th min equaliser against the Hibees certainly made the day feel better

One game in a long season. Losing to Killie is countered by winning away at Aberdeen.
Losing to the Swedish mob in the 2nd round of the UEFA Cup. In my opinion cannot compare. Next round would have been against FC Koln of Germany.
The 2010 LC Final was the worst experience in my lifetime as there was a major domestic honour (against an OF side) at stake which trumps the UEFA cup loss.
That was a sore one -
Also recall opening game of 1992/93 season in 1st Division after our relegation
Starks Park against Raith and we were 3-0 down inside 40 mins
Turned to my mates and stupidly said " at least the 2nd half can't get any worse "
Little did I know as we capitulated 7-0 😪😪😪
-
An absolutely fantastic win - made all the very sweeter as it was the same opposition who " stole " 2 points from us when they got an ill deserved draw back in August .
We have played better for less reward - which demonstrates the fight and attitude within the team
Yet again the Manager is getting levels of performances from players which almost defies belief
Comfortably top 6 and looking for more 👍
Great times to be a Saint 😊😊

.... and suddenly a pishy 1-1 draw away to Ross County doesn’t feel so bad after all.
Frustrating it wasn't more
But
Agreed that after tonight's games it kept momentum going 👍👍

St J were poor. Our most effective tactic was to give them the ball. We didn’t play nearly as well as last week but took all three points. Funny old game.
Or
Sign of a superior football team who believe and understand their tactically astute Manager 🤷

Hmmm. So cost us two points against Motherwell and one against Livi. I suppose in the sense that it's more than one, then three can be described as "multiple", but not really in any other way.
Well
Not sure how you would describe it as anything other than multiple 🤦🤦
Currently costing us 4th place - but crack on if you see it differently 😳🤷

How many pens have we scored and missed?
In addition to Sat we missed 1 against Motherwell in a turgid 0-0 draw...
There was another which wasn't so crucial
But think 3 In total which have in totality been expensive

It’s just like this, lose and we’re handing Killie 4th!
Think Killie have been better at hanging in and around games and stealing late points ...There last 2 games are prime examples - when we are good we are really good and have had some fabulous results
But , we have lost points in silly places and our inability to score from the 12 yard spot has cost us multiple points
-
Absolutely fantastic performance - when we chip in with goals from other areas it helps considerably
Always looked a threat going forward and defensively looked very secure
Every game is big - but huge huge game against Dundee in the context of securing a top 6 berth 👌👌

Going for Van Veen was ambitious but also risky. I'm sure our club made the best offer it could for him without over-stretching the budget restraints.
I'd rather miss out on the player than pish money away by gambling on a player who seems to have been out of form in the last 6 months.
That makes sense - I would have been happy to get this over the line but this was only ever a short term fix only
The manager has tried and failed with multiple striking options and now needs to use what he has to get us through the season and plan for how we sort this issue next season
To many misfiring strikers getting a wage

Scott Burns saying Killie front runners for Van Veen now but not finalised and we’re still in discussions with him.
Apparently he is off to Kille

A rather less painful result than usual against Rangers, and we made a game of it in the second half but lack of a goal scorer as said earlier will ultimately cost us dear. Scott looked promising and Gogic was best man on the park but I cannot understand Robinson persisting with Ayunga. Maybe Scott will take his place, I sincerely hope so, as lack of pace, inability to trap a ball and jumping with divers boots on ,combined with minimal effort do not make for a footballer. A few of the teams near us have some games in hand and we could find our fifth place vanishing very soon if this awful form continues. Vast improvement required.
Definately needing a change of luck to arrest our current form
Since we hammered Fakes 4-0 at the end of October we have won only 3 league games in the last 3 months - and uncharacteristically some poor home results ...
Still trust in Robbo and hope things change with the new signings 🤞🤞

Exeter City forward James Scott, linked with us, Dundee and Ross County.
He has notched 2 in 21 games so he seems a perfect fit 🤨🤨🤨
