  1. My badly heid is in that photo. I was at corporate for Dunfermline game and plenty of peeps there without ties. It doesn't actually say you have to wear a tie because you don't. [emoji41]
  2. Will do! You can get Aldo and your dad along for the party.
  3. Are we winning this title at Tannadice midweek then? In a cottage with the family in St Monans for that week so driving up to Tannadice on the Tuesday. Might have to turn up for holiday a day late if we actually win it at Brechin.
  4. Queens 0 St Mirren 4 Think it is a day we will extend our lead at the top with United and Livi both dropping points. COYS
  5. Livi game off! A brilliant chance to increase the lead to 11 points. COYS!
  6. Corporate for this buddie today. First time in many a year and looking forward to joining the ranks of the prawn sandwich brigade. Totally agree with Wilbur it's all about the three points and closing in on the title. Dunfermline have given us some very difficult games this season and I dont see today being any different. Hearing from a reliable source that there is a chance Morgan may be missing today. With or without Morgan we are capable of winning this if we play to our potential. You feel that our performances of late have been slightly below par with everyone not quite reaching their peak in games. Hopefully today everyone plays to their potential and it's another landmark day where we win and Livi drop some points at home to Inverness. If we can increase our lead by a point or two in the next couple of games it will almost be too much for Livi to pull back a 9 or 10 point gap with only 8 games to go. Come on saints let's keep St Mirren Park a fortress and win again today any which way you can.
  7. It's defeats like today that will make winning the league all the more enjoyable come April. We have a great chance to regroup and bounce back against Brechin next weekend. Onwards and upwards!
  8. Any truth in the rumour it was Jack Ross that actually applied for the Barnsley job rather than Barnsley approaching St Mirren to speak to Jack?
  9. I think the St Mirren fans will be there in large numbers on Saturday and singing Jack Ross's name for most of the game. What a time to be a buddie!
  10. I don't think Jack will leave St Mirren before we win the league. Who knows what will happen in the summer but I just can't see him leaving now when he is weeks away from winning something very special which is all his doing and something he might never come so close to doing again. I appreciate he might well move on in the summer but can't see him going sooner. I am also not too sure how much truth is actually in this story about Barnsley's interest.
  11. I was thinking this too. I think games like this and Tannadice is what he has been brought in for to give that bit of steel to the midfield. Also we don't have a great deal of height and dig in the team that Livi seem to base their whole team on.
  12. Can see a saints travelling support up around the 1,500 mark. Should be a great atmosphere in the away end in what I recall being a very smart stadium. We are marching towards the title in a truly memorable season. We could well win this title with about 6 or more games to go if we keep this up as I can't Jack and team taking the foot of the gas. This will be a tough test but think we might just edge it 2:1.
  13. A Falkirk supporting mate at work was asking why our crowds are lower than both Dunfermline and Falkirk considering our incredible league form at home in 2017. Hard to pinpoint but being so close to the old firm is always a battle.
  14. Cheers for the heads up. Planning to hang around anyway just in case it's not for them. Have seen a few girls at Panda Club in the past when dropping off my son so hopefully all the girls get together and enjoy the experience. I am hoping for a crowd of over 5,000 at the game and would be slightly disappointed if we don't get it as this side really merits a big crowd behind them in the remaining home games. Remember to chant out Bairdy's name on the 15th minute. Can't wait for the game.
  15. Absolutely delighted to see Jack Baird has signed a new contract. He has been outstanding this season and in my eyes our best defender. Baird and Davis make a formidable pairing at the back and hopefully both will gain promotion with the buds this year and play together for many years to come. Will need to sing 'Bairdy Bairdy Bairdy' on the 15th minute to honour the big man signing a new contract. Well done Jack Baird and keep up the good work.
  16. My daughter is attending her first game of the season with her friend. Both are heading along to the panda club for the first time ever. My wee boy is also heading along to the panda club and both of them can't wait. Between them they have about 7 or 8 St Mirren kits and we were sussing out who was going to be wearing what strip on Saturday. I am not sure if it was the sweeties she had brownies tonight or the thought of seeing Lewis Morgan in action that was getting her so excited. Anyway they are both looking forward to the game as is their daddy so let's hope we put on show and get a great team performance and a fine home win. I think we might see our biggest league win of the season on Saturday. St Mirren 4 QOS 1 What a great time to be a buddie. Is it Saturday yet?
  17. Welcome aboard Myles! Jack Ross appears to have very good man management skills and has a terrific knack of getting the best out of footballers who have undoubted talent but just need the required guidance to help their careers blossom. I think Myles will fit in very well and under Ross we will surely see the best of him in the next 18 months. A positive and exciting signing who will prove his doubters wrong in time.
  18. Join the buds for 3 months and guaranteed to win a medal. Well almost guaranteed. [emoji41]
  19. What a great team effort last night. The backing from the saints support was superb as always. I am delighted that big Bairdy got the winner. The guy has been brilliant this season and a real unsung hero. Bairdy Bairdy Bairdy!
  20. Another tough game against a side who can score goals but I think there is such a huge feel good factor about everything connected to our great club that we will win this game. We haven't spanked anyone this year but surely we will one day this season especially at home and would be great if Saturday would be that day. United will most likely lose at Inverness or worst case scenario drop two points. It is becoming more and more obvious that United are going to implode big style this season and it really is our title to lose. I can see United entering administration this season and possibly not even making the play offs if they keep going the way they are on and off the field. I can see a crowd of well over 5,000 for this one. Spread the word and get as many fellow buds fans down to the game as this season really has the makings of a truly special and memorable one. What a great time to be a buddie.
  21. Sounds like it will definitely be Ryan Flynn and someone else. Ryan seems to a very talented player and will fit in perfectly to this squad. An interesting day ahead. I need to get myself down to Asda as all our new signings seem to be spotted there.
  22. I have a sneaky feeling we might beat Aberdeen at Pittodrie or after a replay then draw Celtic in the next round. This would result in a dilema for Celtic and Morgan. Can Morgan play against his parent club? It's pie in the sky but it would be an interesting talking point. I think on our day we could cause an upset. Morgan will shine on the big stage as he has done on a few occasions. It will be interesting to see he fares against Shay Logan who is a tidy player and very fast like Morgan. Everyone at St Mirren will want to test themselves against a good Aberdeen team from Cammy Smith to Jack Ross. It's got the makings of a great spectacle. The BBC will be delighted they have picked this one. COYS!
  23. Can't make Aberdeen game but myself and a few mates talking about making the trip through. Think we will take over 500 to this one.
  24. We were well on top the whole game and played really well at points but a tad wasteful in front of goal. Could and possibly should have won by more as I felt Dumbarton were as poor a Dumbarton side as I have seen in a while. They offered very little and I felt we could have really hammered them today if we had put our mind to it. That lad should have been off for that assault on the touchline on stelios. A red card every day of the week. I thought Stelios had a great game as did McGinn and McGennis. I thought Jack Baird was immense again. He has been playing very well for the buds for the last few months and a bit of unsung hero. Everyone talks about the clean sheets kept since Davis came back but I think it is more to do with Bairds performance and the fact he is playing alongside a good player like Davis rather than Buchanan. Davis is great defender and we are lucky to have signed him but it is a tad frustrating how Baird doesn't quite get the recognition I feel his performances of late actually merit. I think Davis would have struggled alongside Buchanan in those first few months. Just my opinion. Over 40 goals from Reilly, Smith and Morgan. Very Impressive stuff! In my lifetime of watching the saints we have won the league in 1999/2000 and 2005/2006. In each of those season's we were run very close by other teams but it really does lool like this side could win this league by some distance. I know it sounds like I am getting ahead of myself but the bottom line is we are just so much better all over the park than every other team in this league. This side is going places.
  25. Jack Ross is going to go very far in football management. He is rapidly building up a very solid reputation as a very good manager and it won't be long before he gets touted for some top jobs in Scotland and England. Our big test as a club in the coming 6 months or so could be about holding onto Jack. Exciting times for everyone connected with the club. If Jack is doing well then it means St Mirren are doing well and that makes us all happy buddies.
