  1. Thought it was a pretty poor performance overall. First half with Osbourne sitting in, we looked okay at the back, but we had nothing going forward. Thommo not being fully fit meant he wasn't able to chase anything down, or get into space to receive a pass. This resulted in McGinn and McLean trying to do it all themselves and losing the ball a few times. Second half we were better going forward, but without Jim or Isaac we look really dodgy at the back, Plummer aside. Thought Ball and Caldwell linked up well for the goal, and Caldwell took them well. Did well to not panic considering our lack of goals. Hopefully it turns out to be the confidence booster we need, but we'll wait and see!
  2. Fair enough, he had an absolute shocker last night, and he is not by any means a great centre back. However, it doesn't help that within about 5 minutes of kick off that people are shouting at him and getting on his back. Where I sit in particular, (W1) there are a few folk who seem to enjoy getting on the player's backs before they've done anything wrong. Can't do much for any of the player's confidence having folk right on top of them piling on abuse before they've put a foot wrong.
  3. If I was being negative... Really hard to pick any positives out at all. One of those nights where we could have played forever and not scored. Really hard to feel anything other than extremely disappointed and struggling to see where we're going to pick up points. Being positive... Well things can surely only get better? We really missed Jim sitting infront of the back four. Plummer is probably about the only player with pass marks. McGinn did well in spells, but tried to do too much. He seems to have picked up a bad habit of committing a lot of niggly fouls this season? However it was interesting to see Alex Neil get away with 4 or 5 pretty bad tackles in the first half with no booking? Not sure if it's just paranoia, but I'm pretty confident Jim would have been booked if not walked if he had made the same tackles. Not that it would have made a blind bit of difference to the result.
  4. First time posting, after being a long time reader. Looking forward to the game. Was at the Motherwell game, and like a lot of others feel we deserved more out of it. Simply a lack of sharpness from the forwards, which will come with game time. Fancy us to win 2-1 tonight, Marwood and McLean, with Imrie scoring for them! COYS
