Wasn't Teale one of the assistants in the summer when we brought in Ball, Marwood & Caldwell? Indeed, was it not Teale's contacts who brought us Ball? Either Teale had an input in the summer or he didn't. Either way, neither result is acceptable. And whose fault is it that our super duper youth academy has failed to find a single striker in over 10 years of Longwell's reign? (or a decent centre half) Teale & Longwell must go.

I will be voting Conservative They have done a fantastic job in reviving an economy destroyed by Labour and the SNP.

Get the search back on again! Ironic that Killie's clincher today was scored by one of the young boys who Longwell let go! Let's get in a proper head of youth development as well as a new manager.

Deary me The Teale / Longwell partnership on course for 3 defeats in 4 games, another 2 home defeats both to teams in the bottom 6 and failure to keep a clean sheet in any of the games. We need to get in a manager who knows what he is doing and a head of youth development who can find us some decent players. -
Ffs, longwell cant even find us decent youth players never mind help with the first team longwell is clueless we have no hope with this fool still at the club

Best Saints Goal You Have Witnessed

longwell's lack of transfer fees says it all -
Indeed. He is the one who should be blamed. More than 10 years in charge and we've had nothing back on transfer fees. We have a side packed with his youth players and they are second bottom of a league with Hearts, Rangers & Hibs. He can't even come up with a striker or a centre half, the really key positions. Our youth system over the past decade has been a complete disaster. We need to get shot of Longwell and all his coaches. ASAP!
-
Why don't we promote one of the strikers from our fantastic youth academy. After more than 10 years in charge, surely Longwell has discovered at least 1 striker for the key position in the side? No? And a centre half as well? If not, then what has he been doing all these years?
-
Most clubs with decent youth academies never get to 7 youngsters in their first team at the same time because some are so good they get sold... Over a decade in charge and Longwell has brought in the square root of f**k all in transfer fees. Its been an unmitigated disaster.

No, I don't think they have read it Stuart. St. Mirren have offered way more than 51% of the shares in the club in the 3 previous share issues. The fans had the opportunity to buy into the club then - and the club was on its knees at the first share issue. But every time, the fans ignored the share issues. They just weren't interested. God knows why anyone thinks this would be any different.

Happy to see Teale get the job... As long as Longwell isn't his assistant.

Best Saints Goal You Have Witnessed
a50lennyc replied to Sergie's no1 fan's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
For me, what makes this goal extra special is the fact that the boy deftly won the ball in midfield himself before starting the run. What happened after that is good but the ball winning makes it extra special. Definitely up there for me. The likes of Scanlon & Beckett's goals were spectacular and are also remembered for winning us games against C*ltic. But I like the goals where the player beats a few guys before scoring, eg Mallan's goal and Yardley at Cappielow. As mentioned by someone else, Scanlon did this on more than one occasion. For me though, the 'Bone on his own' goal is also a belter as he also runs from his own half, outpacing what is arguably the greatest ever defence in Scottish football history, before slotting it away. I'm pretty sure that win 'goal of the season'. -

2-0 up in a game where we had no strikers in the starting XI! I wonder if the hypocrites on this forum who constantly berated Gus Macpherson will be out in force to condemn Gary Teale... -

My son recently had a thigh strain. He's a runner and it put him out for 3 months and even then it was a few weeks after that before he was totally recovered. -
Celtic Will Make An Offer For John Mcginn

The lad McGregor has been getting a regular game this season - at the expense of some of the names sitting on their bench. If John McGinn is good enough then he will get a game. -
Celtic Will Make An Offer For John Mcginn

Not sure if this is true but someone told me that John McGinn's grandfather used to be Celtic chairman. Any truth in this? -
We already have "fan ownership" of St. Mirren. The problem is that as a result of the St. Mirren by and large ignoring the last 3 shares issues, the majority of shares are concentrated with a few individuals. The very fact that the St, Mirren support ignored these share issues proves that any fan buyout at St. Mirren will never ever happen. These were 3 opportunities where there was no work involved for the fans, nobody needed to organise it or lead it, no meetings, direct debits, etc, etc. The fans just needed to dip into their pockets and shell out a couple of hundred quid and it would have been done. But 3 times they ignored it, not caring of the club went bust or not, and let a handful of individuals save the club. Saints fans owning St. Mirren? It would be like letting the lunatics take over the asylum!
