  1. Wasn’t hopeful of getting anything today as our away form is shocking, as it was last season and Hearts have been on a good run. Didn’t see the game but the live updates and stats don’t look horrendous. Big O’Hara is a worry. We know he’s a really good player, was brilliant for us last season, but it’s either confidence or he’s carrying an injury or both. He’s our captain and an important cog in the team. Maybe a rest and regroup coukd see the player we know in the new year. We are missing Strain too and Baccus will be a miss next month. Even with the fat lazy Shankland we had years ago you could see he had quality. He was the difference between the teams today, as well as a massive difference in budget. Killie game is massive now. Hopeful that we can get a result. Motherwell game was poor but thought we played really well against county. Big crowd and atmosphere will hopefully kick us on against an improved Killie side. We need to keep our heeds and find some goals from somewhere.
  2. Refs job isn’t easy with players like Brown, County’s no4. What a cheat that boy is. His playacting designed to get free-kicks and our players booked. Just noticed watching the highlights that in the corner building up to our first goal he deliberately stepped into Gogic’s path and collapsed holding his ribs after minimal contact (that he engineered). He was at it the whole game with some success. Big Taylor flattening him into the hoardings right on HT was tremendous.
  3. Not long back home after a great day back in Paisley. Thought we played really well and deserved the win (should’ve been more). Made a lot of decent chances and played some really good football at times. The move in the first half that ended up with us hitting the bar was excellent, mostly down to Nahmani who looked superb. He could be a big asset this season. Small came onto a game second half. Ayunga getting better with every game. We’ve missed him. The team dug out a much needed good performance today. Hope Taylor and Boyd-Munce are ok. Thought the ref wasn’t great. O’Hara’s booking was a joke and he was falling for County’s theatrics all through the game. He also didn’t give our first goal until VAR got involved. Not an easy job but hopefully he improves with more games. *We met Ewan McVicar in the 1877 Club after the game and my lad was a wee bit star struck. He was a great lad and then bumped into our club captain for a quick blether on the way out who was brilliant too. Happy Buddies tonight👍
  4. Played the better football. Nahmani has looked sharp and been really impressed with him. His part in the move we hit the bar was tremendous. Exciting player. Big Ayunga looking on it too. Unlucky not to score. Small struggling a bit. Keeps loosing the ball but hopefully comes on to a game second half. Wee bit shaky at the back but settled down as the game progressed. Kiltie on a tightrope booking. Playing well but could be hooked. Hopefully we can finally hit the back of the net, second half. Deserve to be winning this so far.
  5. We normally struggle in Perth but shaded it last night in a predictably crap game. Created the best chances but really poor finishing cost us. Lack of concentration at the death was frustrating. Giving the cheap throw-in gave them the chance to cause chaos in the box and get their pen. Real sore one to take but we should be well up for it back at home to County at the weekend and be confident of a win. If we lose then it is time to start to worry.
  6. We didn’t deserve anything from last night but that looks like a penalty to be fair. Collum doesn’t even give a freekick. Normally loves to be centre stage so surprised he didn’t give it.
  7. Been struggling for a few weeks now. Another poor performance against a very poor team who had one home win this season and hadn’t won in 10 games. Sounds like shocking defending for their goal too. A visit to Ibrox at the weekend. More like the saints we know and love. Going to need a couple of big buses to park on Sunday. 🙈 Feel for the buddies that managed to travel up there tonight. Safe trek home.
  8. Sounds like we’ve been well off it and can’t really complain unfortunately.
  9. Thought we deserved a draw on balance of play. Too many key players slightly off it. Another strong display from Hemming, especially getting Gogic out of jail and his save low to his right second half. Baccus needs to start every game if fit. Story of the night for me is young Jamieson. When he came on he was demanding the ball, looking to make things happen, taking players on, put in some great balls and got his goal at the death. He could develop into a valuable asset for us Squad looking good with the players we were able to bring on tonight, even although we can play better.
  10. Delighted to hear this. Talented player with very good experience north and south of the border and a great captain for us. Speaks well and comes across as a good guy too. Hopefully he can contribute to the upward journey that the club are on at the moment and bring through exciting young players, something the McGinn boys know about first hand. Welcome back Stephen and good luck.
  11. MacLean sacked. Dead man walking after his post match interview yesterday.
  12. Baccus has been superb, probably the best player on the park. Strain has done well too but should've scored. Two daft bookings for the pair of them but doing our club proud.
  13. Wasn’t an easy time for Nahmani to come on but noticed he wasn’t putting a shift in. Couple of times he just jogged and watched as a Sevco player was moving forward with the ball 5 yards from him. He’s quick and can finish but maybe needs to prove himself more to Robinson.
  14. Sky started their fake crowd overdub when they started it but you heard it clear as day just after the second goal. Disappointing in this day and age that it isn’t called out by the authorities. Great effort from the team with Hemming, Gogic, Tanser and McMenamin our standouts, but it was over when Strain had his brainfart unfortunately. Wonder with hindsight if we went 2 up top a bit early. They scored their second just after it and there was still over 20 to go. We had looked comfortable but were tiring to be fair. I’ve learned not to question Robbo’s decisions over the last few months. I think he knows what he’s doing. Bit of an opportunity missed but it’s been a great start to the season.
  15. So disappointing. Similar feel to Dunne’s crazy red against Celtic. It is instinct but it’s a case of just giving away a goal scoring opportunity or giving away a goal scoring opportunity and putting us a man down. Was anyone’s game before it happened. Only 1 down at the moment and Hemming doing the business for us so far. Would be a miracle if we get anything out of this but you never know.
  16. This is mental. Can’t remember us going on a run like this in the top league. What a feeling being a Buddy at the moment. Robinson has created a proper ‘team’ with quality all over the pitch. He keeps proving a lot of us wrong. Big Zach starting to look like a great signing after many doubters. Savour it while it lasts and long may it continue. COYS!!!!
  17. Was thinking the same but the Livvy point and today maybe levels it out a bit. The Dons game was a real sore one but the last 2 results have sweetened it up.
  18. Even better when you look at the whole table. Hanging on at the end but dug it out. What a ‘team’. COYS!!!

  20. He’s playing really well. Looks more than comfortable at international level and N.I.s biggest threat. Been a great signing for us so far.
  21. Take that all day long. Tough game on a tough pitch. Looked dead and buried. Great point under the circumstances.
  22. I’m listening on the wireless. Was definitely a mile offside 😜 Come on Saints, nick a wee goal here.
  23. Hearing rumours from my Aberdeen supporting pals that they are in for Baccus. First bid rejected but currently in talks. Might be nonsense, but if true I’d be disappointed if he went up there. Would rather he went down south for a decent fee, if leaving us. He’s looked back on it so far this season.
  24. Talented and quick player still learning the game. If he can get the balance between his ‘enthusiasm’ and keeping the heed he will be a real asset. Good competition/cover for Tanser who has made a great start to the season. Glad to have him back on board.
