  1. I'm not for Ian murray, Gary teale for me too, I was trying to bring perspective to previous comments.
  2. This argument is ridiculous, I have a mate who plays for Dumbarton, has done for 3 years, is in the first 11 every match. he works full time 9-5 mon-fri, trains twice at night a week and has a game on a Saturday. It is unthinkable that Ian murray could have done more last season than finish 7th and safe. Talk about punching above your weight, hibs, hearts, Rangers, the training complexes, budgets, and quality at their disposal, of course they were supposed to batter the lesser teams. Rank Ian murray against managers/teams on the same budget, and part-time. Answer?? Top of the pile, highest positioned part time club in scotland!!!
  3. https://youtu.be/PSqk-9A6NZg That's what I was meaning!!!! BOD tae f**k!
  4. Anyone up for doing a Blackpool last home game
  5. Only positive from today, 4 Derbies next season! Keemon!!
  6. Actually our board pay them alot of money to hire them, then Pay them alot of money to leave after they've failed!
  7. Is it just me, or are alot of people on this forum paranoid about their paranoia? People voice their opinions, that's the point! Some you will agree with, some you won't, that dosent have to mean those you don't agree with, have to be 5 versions of the same person! Goin have a pint with SG and worry about what your missus is doing while your away!
  8. For what it's worth, I live in Aberdeen. So yes I have seen him play, and I speak to Aberdeen fans daily. Given they have forked out their biggest transfer fee for years, the consensus was he would be a great addition to the 1st 11. What I was saying/meaning is.... That's so far... It hasn't materialised. But without arguing, time will tell. He will either springboard forward to greater heights, or do a Ricky gillies!! I may have conveyed my thoughts incorrectly, but in my opinion, being a stand out player in the Saints shirt this year, does not make you a messiah!
  9. No, it typifies everything that's wrong with us this season!! Posts on this forum have given credence to teales failures based on selling our best player on deadline day! That is true yes. But was he that good a player, or above average in a very poor side? My perspective is, McLean is decent, but average. My opinion is based on his record at Aberdeen, since he's been in the squad, they have stagnated, and he hasn't produced to the the heights he was at St mirren! Heights reached as he was a cut above the shite we have, but in real terms is the SPFL, average. Not wanting to labour the point, just replying to a piss poor retort to a previous statement. Djemba Djemba would have looked a half decent player in the Saints team this year!! As positive as I've tried to remain, the whole lot collectively, well or poorly managed, have been rank, and anyone standing out has proven only that they are not completely incompetent in their chosen position on the pitch!!
  10. How many goals has he scored for Aberdeen? Has he added to the team to the point they've went on a run? No, we made him look good, he is average at best!
  11. Yes I was, and what was wrong with that? staying positive?? Trying to show optimism?? As I said... Blind faith??
  12. Sweaty balloons mate, but good you've hit the bevy a day early!!!
  13. Cheesy was shite!! FACT good serviceman, but poor defender!! McLean was average!!! Made to look like a messiah as he was playing in the most average saints team in memory!!! Thommo.... Is pissed off that teale got the job ahead of him, and hasn't tried/given a shit since!!! Mcginn, looked good when we were doing ok, but given the responsibility of being our talisman has looked out his depth, and decent players, need decent players around them!! One addition, JG is passionate, but a PL player on current form he is not!!!
  14. Whenever a football team requires a new manager, you'd like to think that the board would draw up a list of preferred candidates, but also receive cvs from would be suiters! I think collectively we all agree that in the past 12 months, the latter has been ignored by our current BoD and the former has been a list of 1, (whoever was 2nd in command to the previous manager!) Here's a thought, imagine we were the current BoD what would our list look like for our next appointment, the one who offers a swift return to the SPFL? What's the thoughts on this lot? If we were drawing up a list would they all be on it, and anyone to be removed or added? Derek Adams Jimmy calderwood Terry butcher Ian murray Stevie aitken Gary teale (with an experienced n'o2) Darren Ferguson That's just 7 IMO that I think we could afford, or who we would have a chance of hiring!
  15. Gary teale and I quote "I don't think there was much in the game!" Ffs At least he said playing young lads from now on
  16. Sadlier has just made 3 great runs, and 3 times our players couldn't complete a 10 yard pass!
  17. That just sums it up, the ref just brought our wall forward because they were too far back!! Couldn't script it!
  18. Anyone else expecting the team to come out 2nd half, and see genev on the wing, ridgers CF, Thomson in goal, and arquin right back?
  19. Is it just me or have Dayton and sadlier been the only ones who've been offering anything remotely attacking in the past 4 matches? Yet wylde and Reilly are on the park!!??
  20. I want to be positive, but what exactly are the tactics here? Long ball to arquin so a 36 yr old can chase it? Wylde to run down the line and cross the ball without ever lifting his head to see where it's going? Ffs
  21. 4am, 4pm, does it matter? The guy who stays positive the longest always wins!! Are you going on Monday night expecting us to lose? It's not 100% certain we're down, and until that time comes, I will go in an optimistic frame of mind! Let's not get bogged down with the negativity/doom and gloom, of most posts in this forum. I was angry 5 nights ago, but in the cold light of day, losing to Motherwell is what it is, and I'm looking forward to Monday in blind faith that we will get a result!
  22. Exactly, if you cant adequately stop an attacker, your not a defender, if you can't bully the opposition, your not a central midfielder, if you cant score goals, your not a striker... In that context, a goalie who can't stop shots is not a goalkeeper. Now assuming you can save the odd shot or two may give the title of a goalie, but that is the tip of the iceberg. A good keeper should give confidence to the defence by commanding the box both verbally and physically. Taking control at corners, crosses, organising those in front of him, standing tall and giving the defenders confidence. Ridgers provides absolutely none of the above, IMO he makes the defence nervous, his distribution of the ball is terrible, and aside from the odd save here and there, is a calamitous goalkeeper!
