  1. Had no problem buying two tickets tonight but a little concerned by some comments above as l selected my own and daughters season ticket seats but the wrong way around. Read elsewhere that this could result in both tickets not being on our cards. Could be fun on Sunday then if some comments above come true
  2. Crucial equaliser potentially but realistically we need to look at raising our game for play off. Gives us a chance
  3. Hope if it comes to a playoff these comments are accurate. Did watch last nights game and can see the thinking but we would potentially be facing a team who have played a further two to four games, possibly winning all of these plus a relatively successful season. We on the other hand would have had no game for two weeks on top of a largely unsuccessful split if we were in this position. Simply we just don't score goals. Anyway we have five games to somehow avoid this scenario
  4. Massive result not losing today. Not a single proper shot at their keeper the whole game. We were the better team first half but we can't afford to miss the type of opportunities that Lyons had early in game. Both teams kept giving the ball back aimlessly and but for our keeper we would have lost. Frankly all three bottom teams deserve to go down based on what l have seen this season. We need to catch Hamilton as l fear for us in a playoff
  5. Congratulations to premiership bosses in setting up scintillating end to season despite the fact that the games are drawn randomly. Allows us to set ourselves up. No excuses now we deserve to go down if we don't deliver.
  6. Daughter got four tickets this afternoon. Impression given was that very few tickets available Saturday at gate. Big away support guaranteed. Hoping for a performance as last time l went to new Douglas park we were scuffed 3-0 in crap weather. Time to step up boys
  7. Fantastic result today. Really enjoyed the game but overall most posts pretty well sum up what we saw. Some very good performances particularly from Flynn, dreyer does show flashes of being a good player, keeper once again made some important saves, both teams are pretty poor, we've played better and lost, our season is not dead and buried yet. Hamilton game could be very important
  8. If you can't put the ball in the back of the net the games up. Dundee on Saturday will tell us a lot about any real chance we have of staying up
  9. Miserable weather, miserable night, miserable football, miserable result. Move on to Saturday
  10. Always great to read a football forum thread that discusses football [emoji22]
  11. Crucial result in the face of appalling weather which affected game. We look far more solid. Flynn, Ethan and Baird had excellent games. Muzak and popescu also very effective. However, Livingston handled conditions better and we were profligate giving away the ball. Thought Stephen mcginn struggled perhaps not fully fit. Most important thing is we are still on touch despite Wednesday result by Hamilton. I will not be surprised if we are still relegated but we look much better overall and capable of at least going down with a fight.
  12. Playing at home we will be up against a team who sits back unlike last two away fixtures. Different mindset and approach required to undo a stubborn defence and we need to convert chances and avoid being caught on the break. This is the type of game that will define this season for us. Almost a must win, certainly can't afford to lose it
  13. I was hoping the cousin was wrong about magennis injury. Happy if Oran is saying he is a couple of weeks away from fitness as he would make a difference in the run in
  14. Not according to his cousin. He said he was finished for the season but l hope this is true
  15. Cousin was speaking to my brother in law in gym says Kyle has bad limp at present. Not having much luck injury wise
  16. Been told today via reliable source that recurrence of hamstring problem has ended his season
  17. Hope springs eternal. Well done saints. Really good point and Dundee result makes it even more important
  18. Woeful first half with Dundee united all over us. Second was better but Dundee sat back a bit with a two goal cushion. Paul mcginn should have been sent off. Ok tactics from week to week flummox me. And there were no programmes in the west stand
  19. Sorry this was original post, Mullen and nazon were missing from the quote l read
  20. Only issue is the lack of two players to make a starting lineup of eleven
  21. Banana skin or opportunity to build some much needed confidence. It's the hope that kills you but still going for the latter. Come on saints give us some hope for the rest of the season
  22. Wasn't a great match. Lots of aimless punts, poor passing and mistakes everywhere from both teams. We shaded the first half with a couple of good plays and passed up a couple of great chances in second, again down to mistakes by hibs. Overall as game progressed we got overrun and overstretched. Still feel new players need time to bed in. At least Hamilton and Dundee lost as well. Motherwell game another big one looming now.
  23. Tonight's patter was the usual on radio Scotland. All it allows is for pundits to try and get a reaction. If anyone should have been annoyed by it would the focus not be more on the suggestion that big gus was brought in with the clear intention of being there to take over as soon as? Filling airtime more like and trying to show balance by mentioning some of the diddy teams instead of their usual worship of old firm
  24. Very strange game and emotional rollercoaster today. Overall impressed by new signings, thought Lyon was sending off a bit harsh, first hour we were too pedestrian as new players attempted to gel with team. Felt early on hodson should switch to left back with Paul mcginn dropping to right back as Ethan was exposed and getting bums rush. Two poor goals to lose as we stood off Alloa. Up until we scored felt totally underwhelmed by second half as we looked to almost settled to not losing by more. However, as Alloa tired and the goal brought some confidence the euphoric last five minutes made my day. Lots to work on, league still going to be major challenge but l believe we can stay up. Get a left back and striker and given how others in bottom four performed today we can do it.
  25. BBC saying eckersley is going on loan to Forfar rather than signing
