Great result, enjoyed the game, amazed by Mains goal, amazed by the atrocious refereeing, roll on next season.

Absolutely fantastic result. Would have bit your hand off for a draw. Sounds like we were marginally better that fakes, but radio coverage suggests and supports my view that apart from top three all teams this season have been decidedly average and very inconsistent. The league table supports this. Something to build and hopefully SR will be able to build on this.

Wind did not help but that was woeful. Both teams poor it we were dire. Lots of effort, but no real tactical nous and any threat up front. Main was unbelievably bad in second half yet stayed on. Thought Erhahon had some good touches in first half but was poor second. Next two games are massive and will determine our future in this league. I am not going to comment on Robinson’s future until l see what he does over the summer whatever league we are on, but unimpressed so far.

Two poor sides. We were exceptionally poor.

Certainly didn’t deserve to win but I’m not sure we deserved to lose either.

A really tough watch and, at £15, hugely overpriced.

Regardless it looks like it’s all about our next two games - away in Perth followed by Dundee at home.

While I don’t expect victories, as long as we don’t lose both we should be safe.

BBC say we have 9% chance of ending up in playoff. A draw today will make a big difference. Obviously a win would be a much better outcome. Our record post last three Hibs sackings is not fantastic. Hopefully Robinson takes pragmatic approach to ensuring we stay up first and foremost

I have seen every game this season and I honestly cant believe people are surprised at where we are in the league. We have been so poor for 90% of it ! As were a lot of other teams, this was the only reason we had a chance of top 6.  I told my brothers 4 months ago I would take 10th place this season...... I still stick by that now, as I imagine would most saints fans right now. Even our good run was fortunate. The games we won we were outplayed in and sneaked a win. Anyone who cant, or wont admit this is delusional. 10th place then start afresh next season.

Like the rest of us on this forum, I want St Mirren to win every game we play, however, I am also aware that we do not have a divine right for this to happen.  This however, does not exonerate the start that Robinson has made, which, being honest, is far from brilliant (or even acceptable).
Against Motherwell, we only had 5 players on the bench, of which one was a keeper, and another was Curtis Main.  That leaves 3 players, hardly a plethora of options.  Why is that?  Goodwin in his wisdom sanctioned that younger players should be sent out on loan, as opposed to being integrated into the first team squad. The way contracts are now structured makes it difficult, (if not impossible) to recall players from loan spells. Therefore, they’re unavailable for selection, hence our shite bench
We were also credited as being defensively sound under Goodwin, we weren’t really?  We were lucky that we had very good keepers in Hladky and Alnwick.  On average we were conceding 14 shots a game.  But they were both excellent keepers.  Lyness is good, but not in the same category.
Very rarely under Goodwin, did we play football that had us out our seats.  When we won, it was generally by the odd goal.  We played efficient football.  The season we finished 7th we were awarded 8 (eight) penalties.  We were also fortunate enough to have McGrath.  This season we have been awarded 3(three) penalties.
We also forget that this season under Goodwin we had a run of 6 games without a win.  Its easy to point the finger at Robinson, but going in anywhere as a Manager is hard, as a football manager Its harder, because you have to deliver your job in front of 4,000 experts week in, week out.    Robinson will get there, but he needs at least one, if not two, transfer windows.  He needs his own players to impose his own ideas.  Yeah, he’s made mistakes, is PR isn’t quite as good as Jack Ross or Jim Goodwin.  Likewise, he doesn’t have the kudos of a previous connection to the club.  We need to remember that Jim (I’m here for the long haul) Goodwin jumped ship at the first opportunity, as did Jack (I’ll whore myself to the highest bidder) Ross.  Robinson has come in under very trying circumstances, and has really had no time so far.   He’ll get there though.
I think we’ll stay up.  It might be bumpy, but that’s the St Mirren way.  The future will be brighter.

He is not media savvy despite extensive managerial experience. Have mixed feelings about what l am seeing on the park, have some sympathy for the sentiment he is giving journalists- but please just don’t say it publicly. Good management means you don’t blame your tools the moment you get in the door. We are bang average but Robinson is not doing himself any favours with the support- or the players- with the way he is conducting himself post match. There is absolutely no way we should be in a situation where we are concerned about Fake Saints catching us- yet we are now!!!

I really enjoyed a lot of that game today. Again we could have done much better with the final ball but we were in game until the fourth goal. Defensively we are poor at the moment though. Thought Lyness could have done better with the third, but we could not clear our lines throughout and kept returning the ball to Well.
more than willing to give Robinson time to get his new plans to gel and agree that it is taking too much time. However, first and foremost we must avoid the playoff position and our results see us in free fall at present whilst Fake Saints are on a run. Tinker after we secure our place for next season please, then rebuild your team So we can judge you then

The way I see this is that the players are definitely going to need to get us out of this but I question the wisdom of telling some they’re not needed. How can you possibly even consider this when your chasing a top six spot. It’s absolutely terrible timing. The worry now is that we have players who have downed tools and I’m now genuinely fearing we end up in the playoffs. This has the whiff of Terry Butcher at Hibernian . Really surprised at how the manager has played this since he came in because it’s been very poor and what was a club sitting sixth and in tremendous form upon his arrival now looks totally rudderlesss

When was the last time we won in the league? It is a league of average teams who are all inconsistent. They shared 5 goals, yes we lost, yes we can improve, but it was entertaining. That is what football is supposed to be. I do prefer us winning but l also watch the game to be entertained. A drink would have helped though..z

Compare our Manager and his obvious disconnect with his players against our friends from Greenock who fought for every ball against Kilmarnock. Driven on by their manager on the sidelines. Granted the quality wasn’t top notch however their team spirit and togetherness meant that they could and should have beaten arguably the league’s best team.
Blood and guts are exactly what’s needed at this stage of the season.
Hate to say it but I would have loved to see that in our team. It’s sadly missing and that could be our undoing.

Should we judge Robinson on what has happened so far ?  - Certainly not !!
The manager should be given at least a transfer window or two to get his players in and show his vision of what we should be .

Top six would be nice This season but if we don’t make it , I’d point the finger at the former boss rather than his replacement . Next season will prove whether Robinson was the wise choice or not.

First half was ok at best with Jay's goal making things look better. That second half performance was as bad as we have been for a long time. I know it sounds like an excuse but the wind changed for about 20 mins and we just couldn't deal with it.  II have no idea what I would do with what we have, I thought the starting line-up would be ok, but the changes were odd to say the least. Couple of weeks to work on things, need to find something to finish the season with some positivity before we rebuild for next season.
