  1. Iain Munro Stuart Munro (via Alloa) Dougie Bell (via Aberdeen) Fraser Wishart (via Falkirk) Billy Thomson (via Dundee Utd and Motherwell)
  2. Super Ally pocketed £2.5 million over the course of 2 and a half years. There can't be many folk who wouldn't jump at the chance of having their career threatened for that sort of money!
  3. FFS We must have a full team and a subs bench of former Rangers players by now...
  4. A defender and a winger? Quick google shows that Tierney scored against Hearts in a youth game last season from how own penalty box... Video available as well. Is he a left back? McMullan was on loan at Stenhousemuir last season and scored 3 in 14 games. Appears that he is a dead ball expert? We've done well with signings on loan from the Old Firm in recent seasons. Hopefully this pair will do just as well (if true).
  5. Not really a reject though as he was loaned to gain experience rather than to get off the books?
  6. I think Rory Loy came at the same time as Graham Carey. I think Lawson maybe arrived a year earlier? Can't be arsed checking.
  7. Frank McGarvey could possibly join the list of Rangers rejects. I heard that it was a Rangers scout who alerted his counterpart at St. Mirren to Frank. He couldn't take it forward with his own club for the obvious reason...
  8. Some good shouts on this thread but, personally, I'd award the coconut to HSS. How could I have missed Donald Hunter!
  9. Thought of some more. We got Dougie Bell on loan from Rangers for a brief spell under Alex Miller. Davie Provan played a couple of games for us when he was assistant. Gus Macpherson & Ricky Robb were Rangers youths.
  10. Nice one. Directly from the buns as well.
  11. Good question. Obviously we have never signed anyone from Sevco (who have since changed their name to The Rangers) as they were only formed in 2012. I suspect that Pityme is getting mixed up with Rangers... an entirely different club that is now in liquidation.. We've signed a few players in the past who were Rangers rejects. Steven Thompson being a famous current example. Iain Munro, Stuart Munro and Brian McGinty are examples from the past. Steve Watson is the only one I can remember being signed directly from Rangers. Anyone think of some others?
  12. Sevco were founded in 2012 and we've never signed any player who has played for that club.
  13. Would have worked if the manager had told him what was what.
  14. Unfortunately, out passing game and slow build up does not suit wide players with pace like Wylde. It didn't suit winning games either mind you. Balls beyond the opposition defence for Wylde to chase would have worked better. I thought he was half decent. Coming in for unwarranted stick IMO. Anyway, he's gone now, so he's a can f**k off.
  15. No, I think I have represented his point accurately and your post confirms that IMO. Players with pace aren't normally deployed in central midfield. Teams do not generally attempt to break down a team with its men behind the ball by running at them through central midfield. Holding midfielders are never normally noted for having pace. As my previous post pointed out, Mark Reilly had no pace at all. He was 36 FFS. Yet he was excellent in that role. Neil Lennon was excellent in that role with no pace. Billy Abercromby wasn't noted for his pace either when he played in that role. Your point about Goodwin taking free kicks is noted. Don't disagree with that. But with regards to his defensive abilities, he's half decent. There is no point getting shot unless we can get in someone who is better.
  16. FFS This makes you feel really old when guys you remember playing start dying.
  17. Are there many teams who play quick players in central midfield? Are there many quick players in the Championship? Holding midfielders generally do not have pace. Mark Reilly had no pace whatsoever and was excellent in that role. Dare I say it, the paceless Neil Lennon was one of the best.
  18. Need to be quick before my nurse gets back.
  19. No, I've got her chained up in my attic at the moment.
  20. Most teachers are vastly overpaid cocks anyway.
  21. The one Dumbarton player from last season who he possibly might sign is the lad Findlay who was on loan from Celtic.... No part time complications there...
  22. Unfortunately for us, Tommy Craig was...
