  1. That 'talent' consisted of McCarthy & McArthur, with the latter being a defensive midfielder! Billy Reid still had to put the rest of the team together. He also did a pretty decent job at Clyde...
  2. You have a simple view of football where its all about fast players in lots of space dribbling around isolated defenders... That isn't actually what happens in games!
  3. ^^^^^ I think we can safely ignore the economic analysis of someone who doesn't know how government debt is funded.
  4. The economy is truly growing and the deficit is truly shrinking just now!
  5. I've read at least 2 posts on this thread from the shite alias that is pozbaird (I'm pretty sure that's not his real name) regarding his distain for Eddie Izzard... I suspect he's trying to convince himself. I suspect a secret liking for ladyboys.
  6. The fact is that the Tories haven't cut government spending over the past 5 years at all. Government spending is up. That is a fact. The last 5 years of Conservative government have seen them follow exactly the policy that the SNP were proposing in this GE. Government spending will continue to rise over the next 5 years. The SNP policy is the correct one. The Tories have shown how well it has worked over the past 5 years.
  7. The benefits or lack of them from independence won't discriminate between those who vote yes or no in any future referendum!
  8. Aren't the Lib Dems unionists?
  9. My fellow Tory sympathisers don't appear to have woken up to the fact that a majority Tory government is not good news for Scotland. It will only accelerate the disaster of independence.
  10. The first thing you thought of was posters on this forum? Really? Deary me.
  11. Only a third of the electorate voted for the SNP yet they win 95% of the seats. That just can't be right. The hated and despised Margaret Thatcher won two thirds of the vote that the SNP achieved last night to put it into perspective. Maybe some hope then that we can avert the disaster of independence.
  12. The overall picture of the last few years has been a massive swing towards independence. It is going to happen. Unfortunately.
  13. Dear oh fcuking dear alright! Imagine having a life where the very first thing you think of in the morning is Stuart Dickson's posts! He probably chuckled as he made that post, thinking of the fools who would get so worked up by it!
  14. The liberals have 10 times more votes than the DUP but 2 less seats... Its crazy The Tories aren't going to be keen to change it after tonight however... I think there is going to be big change in Scotland now anyway.. I wouldn't be surprised if another referendum is on the SNP holyrood manifesto. Independence is inevitable now IMO.
  15. Watched Martin Mcguiness tell a reporter last week that he'd bet £50 that the DUP wouldn't hold the balance of power after the election... Wonder what he's thinking now, particularly as Sinn Fein have handed the DUP such power on a plate?
  16. Nicola sturgeon says she will take the anti austerity message to the heart of Westminster? Mmmm So no change then! This is a bad election night all round. Playing the long game, another Tory government, particularly without the Liberals, is bad news for the union. A referendum on leaving the EU is also bad news. And the electoral system needs to change. For the Tories and SNP to get so many MPs with their shares of the vote is not right.
  17. ^^^^^ Considering that you don't even know how government spending is funded and can't work simple percentages, this post is comedy gold!
  18. The point that the anti-austerity campaigners keep missing is that government spending over the past 5 years has gone UP. The SNP are advocating a policy that the present government has been following anyway. The issue for the Tories / Lab / Libs is that, for the sake of the markets, they have to give out the impression of fiscal responsibility. But in reality, government spending will continue to increase over the next 5 years regardless of who wins power, just has it done over the past 5 years and just as the SNP are advocating. That is why the Tories / Lib / Lab won’t / can’t give any details on where they will make cuts… because they have no intention of cutting government spending.
  19. Your first sentence is highly ironic. Your second sentence is borne out of your anger that Stuart pisses all over you in debate. Tony ' water sports' Soprano!
  20. Deary me. Still using the word "bigoted"...
  21. So many posts on this thread yet you don't even know how the national debt is funded.
