  1. Even more excited now I'm on the bus to Ayr. Anyone suggest a good family friendly bar for food and beer before the match ?
  2. Nice dilemma to have. Can't remember the last time we had genuine competition for the starting line-up.
  3. Travelling down from Aberdeenshire for this game - huge game and wouldn't miss it for the world. I expect a large and vocal support getting behind the team, pushing them on to victory. I believe we can win. 3-0 McGinn, Mallan, Smith Says my heart. My head says it'll be a miserable 90mins watching too terrible sides cancel each other out in the pi**ing rain, and me leaving before the end to catch an earlier bus and missing 10-man Ayr snatch an injury time winner/equaliser to condemn us to the third tier. Nah, could never happen....
  4. I think you have to choose the buy option first then you get the screen with the seating layout.
  5. Good to see Orsi on the bench. Like to see him get a chance at some point tonight.
  6. Not sure fatty will get 3 but surely the team can get 6. Just wonder if that will be enough to win.
  7. Need a good win to have any chance to qualify and also set us up for the big match the following Saturday: 5-1 (Sutton, Shankland 2, Gallagher, Mallan), crowd 1,877 Cannot wait for 6th August !
  8. Signed up. Still trying to convince my dad too.
  9. SMTV was terrific for me, the only negative was it being 10yrs too late. As a serial ex-pat Buddy, it was wonderful to be able to watch all home games live - just a real shame it was for such a cr*p season ! It's exactly the kind of club/community partnership venture the club should be investing in. It's a win-win relationship. Hats off to whoever suggested it, and those who got it over the line. Best 70euros I ever spent - thank you !!
  10. Seriously, that's great news if we've hit that target already, but seems like a missed opportunity if there are more folk out there willing to put more money in up front, but end up signing up for monthly direct debits instead. Need to know what's available before signing up. Still waiting (impatiently) for a reply from SMiSA ..
  11. So that option is no longer available ? Looks like the new kitchen wins ...
  12. Do I remember a thread confirming Liam Buchanan is signing too, once his contract runs out at the end of June ? Still on ?
  13. Anyone know if they got the 20 takers for the premium package ?
  14. I'd be willing to take a punt on Goodwillie as he must want to get his career back on track, but worry the wages would be too high.
  15. Going to wear my lucky top when watching todays game on SMTV. But not the same lucky top as last week. Or the week before. Or the last home game before that. Mmmmm, maybe better stick with something that does not have any club logo...... 2-1 Saints (Thomson & Gallagher)
  16. Away game today, so no SMTV, however, looking forward to listening to commentary on SM Radio - cheers guys, this is a huge leap forward and great for the fans. Keep it up !
  17. Nobody is happy with the performances or results so far in the league. However, I do believe Murray is at last settling on his starting 11 and formation they should play. Yes, it's taken longer to put it together, but it is starting to fall into place. The Dunfermline game (performance and result) should kickstart our season. Give the manager and players a few more weeks and I can see us climbing the table - despite a difficult run of games.
  18. Let the kids in for free - the club will get the money back in revenue from food sales. We need to enagage more with the community, schools etc. I believe we do give away tickets - no idea how many or how often, but it's not enough. Their expectation should be that they'll be at St.Mirren Park at 3pm every 2nd Saturday. They are the future lifeblood of the club and we should be investing in them now. And a larger crowd always improves the atmosphere.
  19. Let Murray get on with picking a team to beat Livi before thinking about the next three (difficult) games. By all accounts we played well on Saturday - here's hoping for more of the same this weekend !
  20. If we start with Goodwin (which we should), then play Agnew and leave Carswell on the bench.
  21. Very interesting, and honest, thread indeed. Type of player you hate playing against, but would want to have in your side. Says it all for me - should be first name on the teamsheet every week.
  22. Another Saturday and waking up with childhood excitement in anticipation of another home game - watching live from Dubai. Just hope this early morning excitement and optimism is not replaced by frustration and depression of another loss at home... I'm going for a 4-1 victory, with Shankland and Gallagher both on the scoresheet, again.
  23. I voted yes. I think we'll get a win today which will be the start of a better run of results. Scrape into the play-offs in 4th place. The manager and his young team will come good, and the strikers will get goals, starting with a 4-1 victory over Alloa.
