  1. Well i think that's us safe. Dundee Utd are currently beating Dumbarton. If that stays the same then Dumbarton will play Falkirk next week and they are still in the hunt for 2nd place meaning they will be well up for it. We could lose next week and still finish 8th because of our superior goal difference. I think we'll pump Hibs anyway.
  2. We have to go for the win in this. If we win then a win against United should definitely see us safe already.
  3. I'm so pleased that Jack has proved his doubters wrong, those had us dead and buried without a hope.
  4. We are the form team in the division since Ross got rid of Rae's duds. Next week we'll be off the bottom and then it will be onwards and upwards. Nice try Captain.
  5. Jack Ross is continuing to come good. We are the form team in the division and i can see us being safe before the Hibs game at the end of the season. We'll finish above 9th that's a cert!
  6. We have a steady line up now i don't think Jack will make too many changes. The new guys are improving with every game and looking fitter, i think we can win this game. Winning this would put pressure on the teams just above us.
  7. No reason we can't beat Hibs, We have proved that we don't lack the bottle by beating Ayr, now we must show just how much we want it on Wednesday.
  8. Looking for the boys to drag us right back into the fight next week, the fans will play a big part in this, hoping for a big support!
  9. I'm keeping the faith! 3 games unbeaten, let's make it 4 next week!
  10. Time and patience with Stephen, he's had one and a bit games to bed in.
  11. We didn't lose any ground on our rivals yesterday and while it is very frustrating to lose the lead twice, i hardly think it merits the sack the manager posts cropping up any time we don't win. A little patience after so many personnel changes in such a short period of time would be more beneficial for the team in the run in to the end of the season.
  12. I know that that we are all hurting at St Mirren's position at the moment but we need to keep the faith that the manager and players will get it right. We have brought in 10 new players and the window has just closed. Since the window closed we have played one game which, IMO, we should have won. We now have 2 cup games in which the new players will play together more. The management team have been bold in January and we need to see where that takes us in the next 12 games, to change now would be utter madness. I think Jack and co. will get it right in time to make the play offs at least and you'd like to think that the team would be battle hardened and have well and truly gelled by then. I know it looks bleak at the moment but beat Ayr and we're right back in it, until then we should just enjoy the cups.
  13. Agreed but we've seen a steady improvement since the start of December and the new guys will hopefully make us improve on that.
  14. He certainly does and as predicted when was able to get his own men in we see an improvement almost instantly.
  15. Not all think that. I will be sad to lose Stevie but if we get an offer he'll be off because he'll be on far more at the likes of Barnsley. From St Mirren's point of view it might provide the funds to get a couple more players in to further strengthen our squad and help us beat the drop, which is vital for our long term ambitions.
  16. I think yesterdays result showed what we can do and what Jack can do as a manager when he's able to bring in his own players. This should give us confidence going into next week's game. With Mallan potentially out the door this week it looks as if we can strengthen the squad even further with the cash we get for him. I think we'll catch and overtake Ayr and Dumbarton in the next 6 weeks.
  17. I would say that the fans backing helped yesterday. Earlier in the season we would have crumbled and lost yesterday's game. I thought the backing from the saints fans was excellent and was just a pity we didn't sneak it at the end. We didn't lose any ground on Ayr and gained a point on Dumbarton and with a huge home game against Falkirk followed by Dumbarton away we could be potentially 1 win away from catching both teams, assuming other teams do us a favour. I'll take yesterdays point as a positive.
  18. I honestly get what you are saying and my initial reaction immediately after the match was why should i waste my hard earned money after that performance but we still have something like 48 points to play for with a gap of 7 points to reach the play off spot at least. That's not impossible and we must keep that thought and not surrender this early, it's still in our hands.
  19. I agree and I'm not naive enough to think that all fans will agree about various things regarding St Mirren. I do however think that it's best for us all if we fight as a whole (Manager, players and fans) to stay up and we can do our part by going to away games in large numbers.
  20. I don't doubt it but we all have a common goal, to see our team succeed. We have lots of other teams fans in the championship enjoying our current plight enormously, i'd love to sicken them all by staying up. We need to back the team right now and deal with the fallout of how our season turns out in May, good or bad.
