  1. So far. Ross is relatively new and still learning, what was Rae's excuse?
  2. Rae is gone. I doubt he'll get another crack at being a manager, i wonder why? Jack Ross is the man now, give him a chance to fix Rae's mess.
  3. They obviously need good experienced players to guide them, hopefully Jack will be able to wheel and deal in January. The ones at the club right now, bar Sutton deserve to be dropped.
  4. I believe Lagfield was a good keeper, not now. Gallagher has yet to prove himself and is being given that chance now. I also believe that the midfield has more creativity and energy since the two youngsters were brought in. Mallan's form has been below par so far this season but we have to agree to disagree about his quality, IMO he has a great future ahead of him and he needs to a consistency, which is usually the problem for young players.
  5. I think Jack believes what he is saying and not just offering cliches. I hope his belief is finally starting to rub off on the players, a great win against Spartans and until the sending off we were doing well against Falkirk. That level of performance has to be maintained every game now.
  6. I think that if we perform like we did until Baird was sent off in our next few games then there is every reason to think we can get a few wins. We need to start every game like a cup final this month and haul ourselves back into the mix.
  7. It is all the so called experienced players that have let us down and i applaud Jack for binning them.
  8. Hopefully he'll come on and score the winner.
  9. Why are you all biting at the shullsters bait?
  10. Interesting thread but while i like to reminisce sometimes i prefer not to live in the past. We need new Yardley, Lavety and Murrays to become new heroes.
  11. Much improved communication from the new BOD, long may it continue!
  12. Stick with the youngsters and i include Shankland in that. Play 2 up front and create lots of chances for the 2 strikers. The young midfielders must try and get beyond and get to the byline to fire in lots of dangerous balls that Shankland and Sutton can hopefully take advatage of.
  13. Shankland should start on Saturday he's needing games and a bit of confidence, I'd like to think scoring 2 on Tuesday will have helped.
  14. Ross has to try and get them to believe they are good enough to do this. A few wins will breed confidence if the players don't believe they can manage this then were almost certainly doomed. Remember back in the Hendrie era Dundee Utd were 12 points behind us at one stage and still managed to catch us, it can be done.
  15. Belief comes with confidence. As Sonny pointed out we are creating chances but not taking them, i'd be even more worried if we weren't doing that. Understandably a lot of fans are questioning whether he has what it takes to turn things round but we have to stick with Jack Ross, i believe that the wins will come soon from what i've seen it just need one or 2 players to find their form, particularly on the offensive side. remember that Ross didn't have a pre season or a transfer window to try and correct things with but there are signs that the players are trying to do what he wants them to do but just lack that "belief" that you mentioned.
  16. We must use this game as a chance to prove that we're only a few positive results away from turning things round, we cannot afford to be negative.
  17. We are not down. It only takes a couple of wins and we're right back in the mix, we're not getting thrashed every week and as Jack Ross said in the post match interview the players must continue to believe in what they're doing and work hard. That's the only way out of this.
  18. Despite another terrible result yesterday i don't think it's panic stations yet. I think the players are still adjusting to what Jack Ross wants from them, i think pretty soon we'll turn the corner.
  19. We should have won that game yesterday and poor Langfield is mostly to blame but the rest of the squad aren't exactly setting the heather on fire. Jack Ross is here for the long haul and we need to get behind him and the team. It is unfortunate that we need to wait another 7 or 8 weeks before we can change the squad but it's a certainty that there will lots of movement within our squad. I'd send the loan players back because they're not producing and either hope that Ross can get a few decent loans of his own our persist with our own young players.
