I had been meaning to go to the under 20's for some time and I attended this one.  Thoroughly enjoyed it and that goal from our boy Flanagan was worth the bother alone.
 
Needless to say I shall now endeavour to attend all the home under 20's games.....enjoyed that far more than I have enjoyed watching "thge big team" for at least 3 years.

Absolute gentleman and a great St Mirren fan back in the day.I bought him a ticket for the first game at Greenhill Road hoping to rekindle his desire to come back regularly but i think the Knox Street demise knocked the stuffing out of him.I got to see him on a daily basis as he was our postman and we chewed the fat about St Mirren constantly and i only have good memories.May you rest in peace Cubby now you,re suffering has come to an end.You fought it bravely my friend.God bless.

Loved the guy. From the first time I ran out as a ballboy under his watch back in 1996, to all the years on the Knox Street bus and the atmosphere that surrounded that cracking bus.

It's with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes that I am letting people know of the passing of my great friend. Cubby passed away today after battling cancer for the past 6 months. Cubby was past president of the St. Mirren Supporters club up at Knox Street. And for years ran the supporters bus extremely successfully. In recent years he neve attended a lot of games but was always a Saint. I'm sure all who knew him would like to pass on their condolences to Joyce and the family. RIP CUBBY Thank for the great times and superb memories.

I played alongside Jack then.He was  a hero of mine who became a good friend and had great stories from his playing days which had me hanging onto every word.
My favourite time from playing alongside him was when he screamed at one of our players to get in the hole.His lips were quivering and he explained he did not know which hole he was to get in to.He also clothes lined a guy who thought it was a good idea to take the piss out of a lesser player.Jack did not take too kindly to that and the guy was on the floor and it looked like no foul had been committed.
This induction is long overdue and i would hope he is around the club more often.He has a lot to offer.

Yesterday at Stark's Park, Julian Broddle was their Guest of Honour as a Raith legend. At half-time he was interviewed (via a tannoy system where everyone could hear every syllable) about his success with the Rovers. The interviewer told us about JB's exploits with the Club and his awards for bravery in the Police force after giving up playing. Then Julian took the mic and turned round and thanked the St Mirren fans for their support when he was with St Mirren and said what a great time he had with us much to the embarrassment of the interviewer who had never mentioned St Mirren and who quickly changed the subject when he got the mic back. But Julian was not to be outdone and ran the length of the field to applaud the St Mirren support and get a couple of pics with him and the St Mirren crowd. That was the best part of an otherwise chronic afternoon.Top man.

A fantastic turnout for Tam, the family, the Broons and myself walked round to Tam's seat laid flowers, put the flag up and had a wee rendition of oh when the saints and there's only Tam McGarry...very emotional but Tam would have loved it. We all sat out Tam's backdoor later on and I don't think I have ever sang oh when the saints so much. RIP Tam xxx

I sit next to Tam and Broonie at the ground.  it is a very sad day and it won't be the same without him on the first day of the season or for that matter any game from now on but you know every time we celebrate a goal or greet because we're getting beat Tam will be going through it with us and as always saying I think we could still win this no matter what the score.
