Ball Boy (2/14)

  1. You had better leave him mate he will be having a tough week following a win for us at the weekend. I can only imagine that it is playing havoc with the numerous negative threads he was hoping to kick off.
  2. It seems to early to judge him. The guy played almost 100 games in a very good Motherwell side which no doubt included a few European games. On the face of it he seems like he should be a decent player, I think he deserves a decent run in the side before he is thrown under the bus.
  3. It is a pretty similar idea to watch hearts are doing? It seems like a fair shout but the worry would be that as soon as we go on a poor run contributions stop, which then maybe leave the club in a worse position financially than now.
  4. Shouted on the sidelines for murrays/ millers team to win...then for his to get pumped off a team we have nit last to in the league....the same could be said if Jim was paying against Dumbarton, but probably not.
  5. Dot know what you are on about wee yin. I think Thomson has been a great player for us, in fact we are arguably lucky to have had him. However that said he is done, and his attitude even looking on from the sidelines seems to be doing nothing for us, in fact if he acts that way in the dressing room more harm than good. Get rid. Free up a decent wage and everyone can move on for the good of the club.
  6. Rubbish. Murray was the only manager n this league that had to build a team from nothing...in 8-12 weeks.mI would imagine he wanted messi, Beckham and viera, unfortunately our board set the rules. To suggest otherwise is just fannyish.
  7. Dinae be a mug. The next few games will show if we had a manager that had a team punching above where they should be. You shouted plenty loud enough about the manager, I didn't hear anywhere near as mch about th players. No manager will have a decent budget. Rae will have the chance of building a team around a few decent players, the last manager did not have that. So you can shove your hindsight summary.
  8. The likes of livi and raith have the benefit of adding a few players to a settled team, rather than having to build an entire one which was my point. Falkirk are the best example of this having signed only one or two players for the season. A settled and familiar team.
  9. Correct. Thomson should have been cleared out in the summer, he is well past it and treats the club as nothing other than his personal cash line.
  10. Pish! You and most other folk on here had this solely down to the last manager and frequently stated that 'with a squad as good as ours we should be at the promotion play off end of the table'. Doesn't look that way does it? You were a big campaigner for the removal of the last manager, you pleased with your something knew? I said weeks ago there were more than a couple of players avoiding a beasting at the expense of that last manager. Here we are.
  11. In fairness I would think we are around the middle, the likes of hibs, Rangers, Morton, Falkirk will all pay more to signed players. We have gone too much too soon. Within the first weeks of murrays term we shed an entire team. For the BoD to expect an entire team to be replaced with very limited funds in the course of 8 weeks was a joke.
  12. Fact is Murray had this team punching above its weight, with Rae in charge of the same team we got ripped a new one today. We came down a division, emptied pretty much an entire team and set a budget which is probably not that far off being reflective of where we are. We cut too much too soon and expected far too much in terms of results. Today's result is even more concerning when you consider Rae has acknowledged he did not pick nor line up the team got Alloa.
  13. No we don't. What we need is to stop drawing games. I don't think there can be many/ if any teams in the country that have drawn as many games we have. Whilst performances have not been great I don't remember sitting there thinking we are really lucky to be drawing, if anything 'we should have won that'. Fine lines, with someone a bit more prolific up front we will start climbing the table no doubt.
