  1. Agree with most of insaintee but need to stick up for the young keeper. Didn't think he had much chance with the two goals and did have a good save. With the five first team men on the pitch it was embarrassing that a very young Falkirk team deservedly beat us. Gow had a good first half but fell away. The others were poor apart from Jim who just about got pass marks. The boys did ok but seen them play much better. Would like to see our full backs deliver a cross.
  2. Amazing set of results recently considering how young they are. Think most are eligible to play 20s next year again. Morgan still out, wilks not playing and only one fit centre half. Great result keep it up boys.
  3. I bow to your superior Hamilton knowledge. Thought Reid was still there more recently than 2013. Think their ex head of youth would have been hendries biggest influence overall. That's why I think David longwell is a big loss to us. David has brought plenty through the ranks and has had a positive influence on those lads He has at least done as well as any other head of youth.
  4. The point being he left Hamilton many years ago. Also for your information it was Reid who introduced the boy hendrie into the first team. Not aware of any who have made any real break through under Neal or canning.
  5. Stevie Frail was at the 20s game yesterday.
  6. How much longer can Hamilton play the James McCarthy card? They haven't brought through any youth players since billy Reid left. Kelly, Baird and Mallen will bring the club money in at some point.
  7. Our u20s team under David have been exceptional this season. When you consider that in the main we only select players who are actually under 20 it's been a great achievement. Both Celtic, Hamilton and others consistently select the maximum over age players allowed under the rules. Possibly the reason why we are now producing more players than them.
  8. Davie will be very very hard to replace. Hardest working head of youth in Scottish football. Wish him all the best on his American Dream job.
  9. Agree with insaintee don't recall the match as how utds biased report states. Dundee did have a lot of possession first half but never came that close to scoring. We got a stone wall penalty which Gow dispatched. Second half we were much better with Agnew playing well and created more chances than them scoring a well worked goal. Their penalty was mysterious as looked more like a foul for us. We weren't at our best today but thought we defended really well and hit them hard on the break. Handbags at the end was entertaining mostly caused by Utds players a bit upset that we brought their winning streak to an end.
  10. The youngsters were outstanding today and could have easily scored double their goals. Dunfermline were poor though. Ok midfield but hopeless up front and even worse defence which included the oldest and probably poorest defender I've seen at the 20s. Some of us will remember him fondly though
  11. Thought fortheringham did ok. Neat and tidy and protected a nervy looking defence but doesn't look match fit and faded badly. Fast paced game which we dominated in the first half. Killie grew stronger as the game wore on and could have went either way but we scored a great goal to win it. Killie looked to have been denied 2 good shouts for penalties.
  12. Didn't think we were at our best today against one of the weaker teams in the league. Needed a few good saves by wilks to see us through.
  13. First time at Murray park and credit where it's due its some facility. Really enjoyed the game played at a very high pace much quicker than a senior game. Our boys more than deserved the win and probably should have won by more. Wilks never had a save to make, defence strolled it, very solid and passed it out well. Midfield worked their socks off and created a few chances. Our forwards looked sharp with Morgan being the standout, murdered their full back with pace and skill. Wouldn't be worried giving any of these boys a shot in the first team.
