  1. So there is no option to not to be a SMISA member So you are basically signing up for lifetime membership to SMISA mot just 10 years be it £2 or £12 or £10
  2. 10000hrs had more publicly it had 2 or 3 public meetings within a very short space of time. This bid has missed a great opportunity to engage the general support. This is not just a 10 year thing you will still have to continue to pay after year 10. This is one question that looks to be unanswered this could end up as a life long commitment to continually fund or invest in the club
  3. Not surprised as a lot of people will be waiting for the meeting on the 19th. Just surprised they waited so long to hold the meeting would have thought they would have held it last just as the season finished to keep momentum
  4. But how is that policed? I do not see anything from preventing me for joining. Do they really care as they need to make up the numbers.
  5. Quinn is not the same as Goodwin but you really need someone to be a direct replacement for Goodwin as I do not see AR putting a team together that will steam roller teams like Hendrie did
  6. Yeah heard that they will clap their own fans then leave to allow us to say goodbye. But I do not see them leaving stadium and I think they might end up on the park as well but we will just have to wait and see
  7. As long as the core is St Mirren based then I do not see the issue of non St Mirren fans signing up. As to be brutally honest the individual does not own anything, does not have a real say in running the club and the way I see it anyone that does join is doing so for benefit of the club. How successful that is depends on the new Board. I still think my main issue is that there has been no indication on how if or any extra investment is going to be available to help the product on the park The only real concern is if there are a lot of non St Mirren fans join they all withdraw at the same time to put the club in jeopardy
  8. I remember watch st Mirren against Celtic and Viktor had Mcstay in his pocket for the full match. Then he got bored in the second half and ended kicking him all over the place Mcstay spent more time complaining to the ref the he did trying to play.
  9. If it were against any other than rangers yes but no from his last attempt
  10. The difference between killie and St Mirren is that you are well run club behind the scenes where as killie have overspent and were at risk of having to go part time a few seasons ago even when they were in the SPL. The question is would fan ownership stop the club going into debt? While chasing the dream of promotion. But I do take that there is sensible debt and reckless debt
  11. Thanks REA. On the same theme the package at £2500 from my reading is that you get 10 shares in the club. Therefore by default you become an independent shareholder or are you tied in with SMISA?
  12. What I meant was you would expect the existing SMISA members to be the first to sign up after all its there goal to get a board place or own the club. So in real terms only 300 new people have joined but regardless of how you view the numbers 500 is good despite the lack of publicity You did not answer my question regarding if I sign up would I become a fully fledged shareholder with the same acess ie agm invite/access to the accounts. Or is it SMISA are the shareholder and like you said I will be told what is issued
  13. The development team seem to be yo only good news of the season for you. Hope it transpires to a good Line of young players into the first team
  14. Nearly 500 sounds good but when you consider SMISA started off with 200 members that is only 300 outside the organisation that has signed up so far. If I sign up does that mean I get treated like a shareholder? Ie do I get invited to the AGM and get a copy of the clubs accounts? If you are automatically treated as a shareholder then that's an immediate benefit for any current non share holders A member of SMISA on the board how much of a confidentiality clause will be put in place? How do you stop other fans from other teams signing up to gain access to St Mirren information? I was told that this had already been attempted through the fans council but was stopped. Interested to hear the thoughts on the above. Just to add this is the most interesting thread I've found on this forum
  15. The Clyde interview was wed or Thu after Morton so maybe things had changed. From what I know je has 10 to 12 players on contract.
  16. The interview he did on radio Scotland did not suggest a massive clear out.
  17. He said most as he could not approach them until he knew which league we would be in. He said he still had one or two that he would like to get in then see what's available
  18. Ouch 1 I am not a troll 2 I do not count myself as a buddie hence my name. I follow the local team where I am located for the record I have held 6 season ticket for St Mirren and 16/17 will probably be my 7th as I am staying in Paisley. I do use you and us depending on what view I am putting across which is neutral as I am not as invested as some other supporters My view on the guard of honour is my view from someone looking in from the outside
  19. Anyone hear Alex Rae on Clyde saying most of his targets for next season are already taken???? Worrying times if true
  20. Heard he is going to speak to Dunfermline on Tuesday. So you could end up facing him next season
  21. Of course you will Alex Rae will make sure we do. Then we will witness total respect to them as we bend over and let them do to us what they should have done to Alloa yesterday would not be surprised if they win by 3 or more
  22. I could be wrong but did SG not say there was a local businessman who wanted to buy the club but his family were put off due to the criticism he could receive but he had not gone away and was trying to get someone else to join him?
  23. I must admit when 10000hrs was doing the rounds I was vary aware of their attempt and I was in Inverness at the time. If I was not on here then this bid would have went by unnoticed. Even the Offical site which only reports on actual news has nothing on it. Also there are a lot of genuine concerns that have been expressed and my own issue is that this is all about buying shares and not improving the cash flow or what is on the park. You are a championship club and unless you get a real huge slice of luck or another Tom Hendrie team you will struggle to increase the money coming in as I do not see weekly highlights on Sportscene next season when the Newco are not down here. I can see the arguement that if you were in the SPL then I can see an increase in investment to a limited degree which might make you a mid table club that will punch above its weight every so often. If this was a case of we buy the shares and GLS puts in an initial investment say enough for a couple of higher paid players or to increase the weekly wage enough to make you a top championship club then pay back at slow time I can see the where the energy and difference will come from but I think if this goes through it will be the same old story
  24. Yes that's my point next season you will be looking at facing , hibs or killie or both plus utd. You have shown this season that both Falkirk and raith are on the same level as you and if you add the talk of a further reduced budget you could find yourself not reaching the top teir for a long time. The fans buyout is doing nothing to improve the current situation
  25. Tick tock hold on This is about getting the club into the hands of fans. Which is fine if that's all you are looking to achieve. Nothing will change there is no new money no extra investment and as stated the club will continue to run as a break even business. So what you are hoping is that AR will manage to get lucky and put together a promotion side. Which is what you were hoping with IM. That is a big risk with your club. I would be asking show me how to improve the team not just how to buy shares
