Granted there has been some great football teams over the years in Scottish football.club and national sides.but both have been less fruitful.the point hear is the SPL had an opportunity to come up with the a similar model to the English premiership but obviously certain clubs were wanting more of the spoils than others.along with incompetent buiseness skills resulting in the structure we currently have.as for the national side we either have to move to a 4 foreigner rule like the German league to strengthen our national side and probably make young players more desirable. also look at the Belgium national side how far it has come in last ten years with a new infrastructure in place and the fact they play the one formation so they can mould young players into that structure. With the topic about crap football stadiums lead me to this. Scottish football were did it all go wrong. With the rise and rise of the English Premiership and most clubs either building brand new state of the art facilities or upgrading existing facilities. With world class marketing attracting the best deals to bring in the best players.para shoot funds.100s of millions filtering through the leagues. What happened to us.

Maybe there should be an overhaul of ground criteria of the Scottish league's like they did with the spl back in the day.maybe the SFA could actually do something useful. maybe something like this. Criteria for League 2 have a squad of 21 players with at least 2 goal keepers (hibs and Raith rovers take note) Criteria for league 1 Have 4 stands (Hamilton take note) Criteria for championship Have a roof and seating in all 4 stands.and decent and quick catering facilities.most teams take note. Criteria for the Premiership All the above plus a stadium that can house their fan base so there are no half empty stadiums.

The definition of crap is measured by our ground and facilities. So if its not as good or better than our ground and facilities then its CRAP

Totally agree.I'm glad the final was at fir park although its not the best ground.but it's better than Hampden.you could see the ball.Mortons ground is unbelievable.no roof or descent seating for away support.plus I don't think our ground needs anything done to it.there's been talk about filling in the corner's and a new or another screen.but it's just talk.

With the away game against Morton coming up it got me thinking about how crap football stadiums and their facilities are and how good our stadium and facilities are.
