  1. Pretty damning fillum.... Actually catching the ball used to be a goalkeeping skill in the olden days. It was as if, I dunno, catching and holding onto the ball negated the dangers instead of postponing them...
  2. Tough. Just like life, eh? you live a few years then you croak it...
  3. And I'm pretty sure that I knew that... What's the word again...? whoosh? thank you.
  4. I doubt that. with their three new signings available, Queens'll more up for it this time.
  5. I agree, sonny. i have string feeling this is not a place where sane creatures meet.
  6. Gasp! completely wrong. I'm sure the above is an inadvertent misportrayal of the truth of the matter... the council asked for the CEO to find out "whether the people of Orkney could exercise self-determination if faced with further national or international constitutional changes, or indeed to decide if more autonomy might be beneficial for the wellbeing of Orkney." that's all. as potent as Nicola saying Scotland COULD have indyref2. pie in the sky. eta oops. Slarti already pointed out the above error.
  7. A post that makes sense, has no digs at the current or past admin, may be a genuinely reasonable and positive suggestion. Someone's nicked the Wishaw poster's password! I blame the SNP.
  8. Aye. As well as fix the tannoy, someone should restore the scoreboard's missing "u"...
  9. Each to their own, pod. well spotted.
  10. This does not compute. if someone has "finally flipped", then it's impossible to flip again. Ad hominem is also never attractive.
  11. There's a distinct difference between honesty and dysfunctiionality. i think both SMISA and St Mirren recognised that.
  12. You've totally misunderstood me. I have no agenda - other than the betterment of St Mirren FC. The OP constantly denigrates the club, and whoever tries to make it better. I think 'his' constant opining is not for the Club's betterment and is not beneficial. It is the wrong way forward. I have always referred to it as a grey/soulless/concrete box. I never suggested you did. Though it undeniably is just that. Could be improved is my proposition. Which is also the reason I tweaked your final sentence to demonstrate that we ALL know it is not currently great being a Saints fan. We don't all constantly dwell on the dark side. It's not just OP who has these moments of startling clarity... ETA: And I also indicated you were as aware as the rest of us of where the club was currently ineffective (which by suggesting a list of better experiences elsewhere is doing just that). I never said you had made a list of bad things... Poorly written perhaps.
  13. Hmmm. I think you need to build in a shedload of other costs into producing a potentially profitable £2.00 pie and juice offer for the punters. You spoke of that price being a good thing at Benburb - and it is. (quality and quantity notwithstanding). But... I'd wager you need to sell well in excess of 455 to get anywhere your suggested annual income of £16,400 from that operation.
  14. The point about this thread is... It wasn't started for any purpose other than self-glorification of the OP. you say many of us Saints fans have blinkers about the soulless grey concrete box, then you go on to list all the things that we all know are wrong with it and the match day experience. You say that you don't need to list all the faults as they have been discussed ten times or more before. so I tweaked your final sentence to reflect that self evident general knowledge. the OP said nothing new and you backed him up, whilst repeating what we all know. all of that is the reason that the fans are entering into the buy-out, all of that is the mountain of muck that SMISA is starting to shift. I don't think I've read anyBuddie saying that improvements can't be made to the match day experience in Paisley! at least, with you, I feel safe in thinking that you won't throw a hissy fit and abandon ship at the first opportunity. True Buddies are in it for the long haul. Rome wasn't built during an off-season, either.
  15. Hot off the presses... I was just gettin intae mah caur this eftirnoon, when one pulled up behind me. A young, happy nuclear family. The kids were ebullient. The parents loudly explaining what their 'walk' might entail, then it was, "OK, Byrne and Sienna, let's go!" Two stoatin' names... straight outa Waitrose.
  16. yet another boring post from the desert bore... Thought I was on 'IGNORE'? But, of course, I'm not. You're alone, abroad, in a boring location: you need anybody to communicate with you. Even if it's disdain you're receiving. As I have your attention, as ever, why (on the weather thread) did you ask for someone (anyone else!) to tell me something, when you were responding to a post of mine that you should have been ignoring...? That genuinely baffles me. When you put someone on 'ignore' it usually means you ignore their posts, not that they should ignore yours. I hope this helps?
  17. You're so right. but he's more boring and banal, than bitter and cheerless.
  18. His wife'll soon knock that oan the Heid. everyBuddie knows a Jimmy is rhyming slang for a Jimmy Riddle. A piddle... the way he'll pronounce it will be the Buddie giveaway, as in Ian Riddell - solid, no-nonsense, full back with Saints. though perhaps I'm over-thinking it and it'll slip under her radar...
