  1. You know it makes sense Div, Coupled with the visitation of more than a few who bemoaned his presence and posting style on the main boards, the notoriety of the Sin Bin 1 only gets enhanced with the creation of his very own Robben Island. You know he's unlikely to change his stance on many matters concerning St Mirren but, the entire forum will not be so lively without the big fella chucking in his tuppence worth and offending folk who perpetually want to be offended. Free the Sin Bin 1.
  2. Shull, you'll end up a moderator at the rate your going.
  3. Graet stuff. We won 7-0 and keeps us 2nd in the division. Play the team at the top at ours next week which will be a bit of a grudge match. We beat them home & away last season. We lost at theirs 4 weeks ago but I am confident we'll beat them at ours next week. I'll keep the faith on that, St Mirren & SMISA.
  4. Stuart, I'll keep the faith that someone will respond but I am inclined to agree that it looks more likely not to happen. That's disappointing but I hope I am wrong. It shouldn't matter a toss if you are the most annoying f**ker in the country or even the second most annoying c**t in the country, I'd have thought (& I remain hopeful) that the SMISA committee are above ignoring anyone. Folk should be able to filter out the utter garbage, the utter shite and the wanky pish that you, I or anyone else posts. When questions are put to SMISA, they should be able to not allow criticisms to affect them to the extent they go into shutdown mode but have the courtesy to respond. Especially on the BAWA board provided for that purpose, even if it is to say they won't be answering the questions. As REA indicated previously, failing to answer is an action that SMISA really should try avoiding. Someone from SMISA responding to say "your questions/criticisms/or whatever are out of order and as a committee, we are not going to entertain any question you pose now or in the future" or something to that effect will be a whole lot more respectable than ignoring you completely. Hope you enjoyed the beers as much as you enjoy your son' football today. We are off down to Basildon for my son' match today. Hoping for a win there too.
  5. f**kin ell, a week goes fast in wishaw. Relax bud, another day down. Have another beer. I'll sort yer liver out better than Bupa can.
  6. he will love Gabriels on a Friday.
  7. how is it said down Greenhill Road way...........Keep the Faith. Seriously, you have got to be patient. Time of year that it is & all that jazz.. Expecting an answer in 24 hours is not reasonable. I have every faith that someone from SMISA will respond to your queries. I expect at least 1 person on the committee is responsible for monitoring the SMISA forum for any questions or queries posed and then a wee bit of discussion by text/email/WhatsApp/meeting down the pub or by telephone if required before answering. Obviously, if they know the answer immediately, there'll be no need for a conflab & the response will be a wee bit quicker. I'd leave it a week. Have that beer Bud & relax. Rome is under construction
  8. give SMISA a chance. I'd take it as a compliment that you've got others attention on that thread. Regardless of their motives for filling the thread with shite, let them crack on. The more non SMISA board members that post is more complimentary. Have a beer bud & relax.
  9. Stuart, I don't recall that but why not give it a go. I have a very different belief in SMISA than you do. I am in to allowing folk to have a chance. Mistakes will be made, I expect they'll be learned from and..ach, we've done the transparency and accuracy bit to death recently. SMISA states that is the place for members and non members to post questions. I believe you will get answered. You might not get the answers you want but we don't always get what we want. Posting questions aimed at SMISA anywhere else only causes various rows to rage and to be honest, it is boring running round in circles time and time and time and time again
  10. You know as well as anyone, sometimes, we all have to play the game. As Peter stated a few days back, he aims to see communication improved, therefore, I expect you will get answered.
  11. Why don't you post your questions on the SMISA forum on this website. That is what is is there for. That isn't uniting behind you, that is stating the bleeding obvious as it clearly states and any walloper is welcome to pose their questions. Fill your boots.
  12. BOB, I read quite a fair bit of most threads that catch my eye. I clearly don't get affected by what Stuart Dickson or anyone else says on these forums. I am inclined to read it and decide what is shite and should be ignored and what has any substance and should/could be considered and discussed/debated. Unfortunately, there is a mob mentality amongst a few on here that no matter what SD posts, it'll be dismissed out of hand as "wanky pish" even if there is anything worthwhile in it (no doubt, someone will be along to suggest he never posts anything worthwhile. Each to their own I suppose.) I have my opinions about a lot but tend not to post as I have lived away from Scotland (Barrhead) for just gone 30 years. I give enough of a f**k about St Mirren to have joined SMISA at the very start and I rejoined to Buy the Buds and although I will never live back in Scotland, bought into the idea and joined the 1877 club as a founder member. I believed the effort to get a supporters bar built was worth the £60 + £10 per month thereafter. One day, i'll get there for a pint. Back to the matter in hand. I don't get affected by any of the shite that any poster posts, (whoever the walloper may be ) enough to froth at the mouth. When I feel strongly enough, I'll stick my tuppence worth in. In this instance, I don't think the USH was enough of an "emergency" to warrant spending £19K (£15 to fix & £4k to turn on).on it at this time. FWIW, I think SMISA & GLS are doing a great job. They will make mistakes and as long as they learn from them, that'll do me. It is early doors but I am confident a lot of good is coming St Mirren' way. Happy New Year Bud.
  13. I suppose it would be so much easier to join the mob & slaughter Dickson (as you call him) no matter what he posts. Ach, not for me.
  14. You're right. I wouldn't give a f**k. Put a dress on a pig, it's still a pig. Postponing a football match by any stretch of imagination is not an emergency. You can bump your gums & think differently. St Mirren's USH that has been broke for sometime is not an unexpected or dangerous situation. All that would happen is the game gets played on a different date. Big deal! but you seem to think it would be armageddon. Are you Stewart Gilmour in disguise? [emoji16]
  15. An emergency would be Oaksoft & Stuart Dickson agreeing on something & Shull choking on his coco pops. I am not talking coughing & spluttering at the shock, i mean obstructed airway, becoming cyanosed & needing abdominal thrusts (formerly known as the heimlich manoeuvre) to avert a respiratory arrest & death. That fella, is an emergency. Postponing a game of football is not an emergency.
  16. What kind of emergency needs a football pitch to be thawed?
  17. if it is not a community benefit society (despite saying it is) what is it?
  18. news on the street is you broke into a cold sweat when the waitress went to remove your name card from the table. when she was clearing up. anyways, many thanks for the reply regarding the SMISA board. as I said previously, I don't give a monkeys who is and who is not on the SMISA board, nor do I give a stuff about how many people make up the board but I do expect information and communications coming from both SMISA and St Mirren to be accurate and not having to decipher what it might mean. Thanks again.
  19. Peter, as you're making it a purpose of yours as a SMISA board member to see communication improved, perhaps, you can conclude the debate by clarifying how many members make up the SMISA board and who they are? Would be much appreciated. Thanks Since I entered the debate a few days or so ago, I have thought, I would genuinely like to know who I am entrusting my monthly subscription to. I don't need to know who the cleaner is or the other guy who can do sums, I don't even have to know who the community heel dragger is nor do I need to know which guy props up Ralston but what I would like to know is, Who I am entrusting £1440 of my money to (there'll be no petulant threats of cancelling memberships/subs or not buying season tickets etc) but it now interests me on who makes up the SMISA committee/board. Thanks very much.
  20. I am sure you are probably right on that point but hey, lets run round in circles a few more times. The link's SD has just posted suggests 11 members. The website with "who we are" suggests 11 members to the untrained in all things SMISA but, I expect you are closer to the SMISA core and know differently. Perhaps you could have a word with the communications guy and ask that their communication improves and folk like me don't get misled into thinking someone is something they are not. anyone got a good cure for dizziness, all this running round in circles has done me. Nurse!
