Since Hammill signed, we have scored nine goals. He has scored four of them and provided assists for two others for Jones and Paul McGinn. Of the other three, he wasn't on the park for one, one was a penalty against Dundee (was it from his pass Jackson got fouled?) and the other was Stephen McGinn against Hamilton, which started off from Hammill's corner.
Sure, he may drift in and out of games but if he was producing every week then he'd be nowhere near a club like ours. He's not as good as Morgan was for us last season but he's the nearest thing we have to a match winner and it would be a huge blow if he left in January. 

We have a totally ineffective midfield. Its unbalanced and lacks width and strength in the centre. Players are out their depth. 

I would play Jones in Midfield, sice he joined as a defensive midfielder who can play centre half.

The team that won us the league were never going to take us forward as its a different type of player required. The only thing i could agree with is that Morgan was the difference in winning the league. I actually feel sorry for Oran as the team are not capable of doing what he asks. There are very few players I would keep for the SPL from this squad. We are poor from the keeper to front. Can only hope the right players come in to save our season.

It is great if we can get a prolific goal scorer.
However, who is going to provide the service?
I know this is a bit negative and in recent games we have actually created more chances than the average in previously in games, but I think we need something special in midfield too. Someone who can spot a run and lay on an inch perfect pass through the defence and pitch in with goals himself. (Hammill can a bit, P McGinn can hit in a percentage of his crosses and Magennis is a great individual, however, we need better players in a number of positions. The quality needs improving. better players are more consistent.
I speculate that we will offload 6 players and bring in at least 4 in January. Three of which will star for us over the remainder of the season and we will survive to build better for next year. Oh and Oran will go on to be a legend with us.
(All this with no alcohol or drugs man)

There could be a real player in there with Cooke. Oran has brought him back into the first team squad so he obviously likes what he sees. Would be good if one of Stubbs signings paid off.
