Why do so many people think that it's great that The Club unloaded a lot of players and make out its " great business " ? Let's see how much we had to pay to get rid of these signings ! Ok I think we all agree that Stubs was a poor appointment so answer these  questions Who appointed Stubbs ? Who approved these " poor " signings ? Who exactly is responsible ?  Do people honestly think that Stubbs was allowed to do what he wanted ? It's just all accepted by Saints fans .  It's the same as when we lose soft goals . No one accepts responsibility .
Can someone explain why Jack Ross was allowed to sign Paul McGinn then the next day went to Sunderland ? It's quite easy , he was doing his " pal " Stephen McGinn a favour by signing his brother , then he leaves and The Club are left with another wage !
like it or not we need a new captain , Oran should have appointed his own man by now . McGinn runs the show id be interested to know the real views of Anton Ferdinand a guy who's no doubt seen it all .  McGinn plays  for himself it's time he got put on the bench but because of he's living on past reputation he is an automatic choice .
    These are the rules :
dont question poor signings , don't complain about McGinn , Don't question the SMISA ( which I contribute to by the way ) , don't complain when we lose , and whatever you do don't question the fact that a Jack Ross himself gave contracts to lots of players who were duds . He didn't leave us with a good squad .
last night poor very disappointed with the numbers in attendance but it was cold and midweek but understand people don't want to contribute to Celtic and Rangers .

As for Oran , poor guy fact is we will never really know if he's any good as he's now got far too many opinions IE Gus , Rice , Nichol etc etc . He should have appointed a new Skipper as his own man McGinn has far too much control and the club is riddled with Nepotism and he's past his sell by date . The signings that don't work out let's just blame Stubbs that takes the pressure off The Chairman who surely would have had to approve these signings . Stubbs was out of order with some of his comments but he probably wanted to get rid of the rotten apples but looked like he wanted to do it too soon .

Let's get real stop blaming Stubbs for our predicament . The Chairman hasta lot to answer for . People to easy fooled by him . A few years ago my mate played 5 a side with him and did he turn up with a Saints strip ? No a RANGERS STRIP !!! Of course this will get rubbished but it's a fact  same as people applauding rubbishy performances this nonsense has to stop

IVE no loyalty of Alex Rae whatsoever . All I'm saying is that GS sacked him at the wrong time . If he wanted to begin his takeover with a fresh manager then that's understandable . But to sack RAE after 6 games after RAE brought his own signings in during the summer was a massive error . All Gordon Scott done was try to be popular among the supporters who wanted Rae out the door .
i repeat Rae was NOT the manager to take us forward and was not the correct appointment by the previous board but Scott should have " bit the bullet " and kept him till the end of the season or even until last December . All this mess we are in has come from GS and his complete misunderstanding of how players can react to a manager leaving at the wrong time .
If GS had known what he was doing he'd have looked around for the correct appointment when Rae was still in the job . Having done that then sack Rae preferably at end of this season . We'd still be in The Championship and the new manager would have been appointed at the correct time . Instead Jack came in at a difficult time when making his own signings was impossible and this has lead to a lot of panick and short term signings

I agree with you . We can still finish above Ayr Utd and win the play off . The sacking of Alex RAE should have been done after the last game of last season . When we started this season with him then to sack him after 6 games was complete incompetence and lack of knowledge how it works . If RAE had still been in charge we would have been 7 or 8 th place no way he'd have got us promoted but no way he'd have got us relegated .
Gordon Scott must shoulder the blame for this decision . There are far too many errors being made in running The Club . This is no fault of The Manager .

Norrie , your correct that Jack has to make do with what he has at his disposal and I'm NOT making any excuses for him but there has hardly been a game when there has been something completely out of his control that's happened . Just to remind you of some :
at home v Dumbarton Langfield passes the ball to their striker ! Sickening
Away v Falkirk 1 0 up and looking the team more likely to score the BAIRD acts like a 12 year old !
    V Ayr missed penalty
at home v Dundee Utd : McKenzie tries to bring ball down then they go 2 up !
At Cappilow we were just rubbish and no excuses but apart from that we've been in most of the games so Jack has for sure made improvements . Set pieces a lot better particularly corners as Gordon and McKenzie have had success so it's easy to see improvements have been made with work on the training pitch .
i wouldn't say the players are " losers " but certainly there is a feeling of " here we go again " mentality from the players . When we have had the opportunity we just don't seem to kill off teams but thats a lack of confidence and I'm sure Jack and James are constantly trying to change that type of mentality . A win on Saturday will lead to 2 wins in a row I'm sure .

Yes I agree with you but think we will win 2 - 1 v Morton . Jack has us playing with more freedom but need to keep things tight with getting behind the ball fast when not in possession . Apart from the away game at Cappilow the games lost since Jack Ross appointment could have been drawn apart from some daft errors

Extremely well put and with you 100 % . I admit that I'm possibly a bit more fottunate in that my Son finished Uni and has got a good job so IVE a bit of spare cash so even if the contribution increased I'd still pay up . However I'm in the minority so SMISA and Gordon Scott better not push things . Scott came accross badly at recent AGM and he's had a very easy ride up until now and this surprises me . IVE said from the start that you can have no doubt whatsover that The Club will need to " Dip In " to the funds so the takeover as it's been presented just will not and connot happen . As for Jack Ross he's improved a lot of players but football is an extremely risky business . He could sign a real find and the player could get an injury loss of form etc just so so many factors .
you are spot on Scott should be putting funds in for players or at least 50 50 with our funds .

I pay my monthly fee and read all the other letters posted . You have saved me the bother of writing what I wanted to say . You are correct . Directors have responsibilities and I'm of the opinion that Gordon Scott has no money but simply hiding behind all us lot . He's fooled an awful lot of people . He's obviously on some kind of ego trip . I have no problem with us matching what he puts in but I think he's got nothing to put in and up to now he's actually put NOTHING in he's simply borrowed it . I now await replies from his fellow Board Members posing as supporters

Good lad agreed 100% I don't mind who beats any of them as long as they lose . Wouldn't it be great if we could have a full stadium EVERY home game ? Who cares what League we are in . The Paisley public need to be more interested in coming to home games . Living in Paisley and attending Parkhead and Ibrox !!!!!!!!! These people should be ashamed of themselves . They have a fantastic stadium on their doorstep AND Jack Ross has us playing good attractive football so no excuses for these people . I'm quite certain if local MP's ( who are thankfully all true Saints Fans ) put up a motion that Council Tax was increased to any person from Paisley holding a season ticket for Parkhead or Ibrox it would get a lot of support ( locally ) .  It would also be good if The Paisley Express could print the names of all people in The a Town who actually own season tickets for The Old Firm ! All fantasy stuff but it would be BRILLIANT,

He didn't get the credit he deserved for keeping us up last year . Expectations were far too high . I'm not supporting Alex Rae but looking back he done a great job last year . Scott should have waited until end of season and sacked him by all means . We would have been in the same division . You sound like my mates very very high expectations . One of them wanted Lennon out after he won the cup !!! Mental . The behind the scenes must be a complete shambles and it all comes from there . Scott must surely be thinking of going and I bet he regrets sacking Alex Rae very poor decision AT THE TIME .

well put and you deserve a sensible answer . I bet Jack Ross is now considering putting Jason Naismith into the centre of the defence . He seems capable of just DEFENDING in there he's made some good " contact " with strikers who are just about to " pull the trigger " I also think he's lost a bit of sharpness to get up and down after his injury . Also Langfield should not be let off the hook I'd play him and find a place for Webster we need experience at the back . McKenzie I like but no giving opponents a chance like he done when he gave away the 2 nd goal v dundee Utd . Just defend do your job and score from a corner please . Some people think I was an Alex Rae fan just rubbish . Ross has us playing better but we need to be smart and just win 2 in a row and we will come good . Rae would have not got us relegated for sure . As for Baird on Saturday I'm thinking he's doing well and lucky as you say to get a start as he's now a fringe player . Then he does that ! Just not on . We looked more likely to score than Falkirk did at that point so could have went 2 0 up . As for fans giving him pelters I was not aware of it and I agree we MUST all get behind every player but there has to be certain responsibilities when you are a player . The Chairman got the timing of sacking Rae very badly wrong and so Girdon Scitt must take the blame for our position NOT JACK ROSS . We need a bit of fresh air Scott should do the correct thing and resign now as he will blame Jack soon . Good news ! I firmly believe when we get our first win we will get 2 in a row then we are back in it . Probably stay up via a play off but I'd grab a play off place right now . Jack Baird : needs a lot of work done both In terms of 1 and 1 coaching and a good experienced mentor

NO EXCUSES . As IVE said on quite a few occasions Baird requires a lot of work individually in terms of coaching and mentality .  What happened on Saturday will show if there  are any leaders in the dressing room as he needs to get pelters from his teammates . Get someone in to work on a player like Baird for example Jackie Copeland . So a player bites Jackie and big Jack punches him NO NO NO CHANCE . He'd just wait be patient and get his revenge without even Getting a booking possibly . Why do so many people writing on here defend Baird ? Cause he's from Paisley ? He's playing at a decent level and that's just basic " wind up " stuff from the Falkirk player who must have went home laughing . I also notice that no one agreed with me that He'd never have done that if Rae was in charge !!! There is NO WAY we'd have went down if he'd been in charge but he would not have got us promoted either . I'm not being disrespectful to Jack Ross but the change of manager was made at completely the wrong time . I feel for Jack he has for certain got us playing better football but constantly getting booted in the groin by likes of what Baird done . I'd stick in the most experienced guys at the back including Langfield and Webster  Put the pressure right up their a**** and don't give them the easy option of sitting whatching . Also Naismith could be an option to consider in centre of defence along with McKenzie Who needs told " just win the ball " as he's capable of that . Play kids as they are for sure playing great Mallen to his credit is very consistent so is Irvine ( just stop giving away daft fouls ) . We are in a WAR ZONE so it's nothing to lose time and no excuses . Getting beaten is acceptable it's the circumstances that we don't like .

Sorry if IVE not made my point correctly . Jack Ross just because he played for us does not give him the right to be a good manager ! Now I happen to think that he will prove to be a very very good manager for us . My point is that last year Rae actually done a good job in keeping us up and I don't think there was any doubt he'd have kept us up this year also . You can also rest assured that Jack Baird would not have done what he done yesterday without there being a massive consequence in his direction .
so all clear up to here ? It's a fact that the situation is that we'd just love to stay in The Championship AT THIS MOMENT . Rae I honestly don't think would have played the type of game that would have came close to getting us promoted . Jack Ross does play that type of game for sure . However the timing of the " hand over " was wrong and Gordon Scott was responsible . He should have stuck with Rae And threw him out at the end of this season then replaced him with Jack as then Jack has time to get players in and at least get the players thinking his way in the Pre Season . Instead he came in when his hands were tied . Players also need time to adjust again at the end of the season was perfect to bag Rae . IVE absouloutly no problem seeing Rae go . I understand that his type of game was not entertaining to say the least BUT he would have kept us up as he did last year .
As for Jack Baird , players have responsibilities and he's Kicked his manager and teammates and fans in the groin . It was completely inexcusable and surely there must have been harsh words from his own teammates yesterday cause if there was not then it just shows that there ain't any characters in the dressing room and if that's the case we are down .
ive no problem you showing this Nite to Jack Ross at the AGM and I bet he completely agrees .

How about enjoy some of the players we have at the moment example Stevie Mallon fantastic credit to The Club and scorer of great goals . The other night was great strike but even that was nothing compared to his effort at Coatbridge on a rubbish surface which he took on first time . Free kick at Easter Road ! Whawooo ! if that had been in Premier Leauge v Liverpool ! ! ! Seen a rerun of recent interview on ALBA which which just confirmed he's on the correct Road to the top . His Old Man doing a terrific job with him and he came accross really well also . ZERO chance of young Stevie getting carried away The Club should encourage Stevie Snr to talk to other players parents in how to keep their kids feet on ground and work their A*** off . Why is he never mentioned in Full Scotland Squad ? DON'T tell me cause in a struggling Scottish Championship Team . He'd do far more than MOST of the present squad . Where is Strachan's scouts ?
players I'd like to return don't play now but I'll give you some names : Tony Fitzpatrick , Peter Kane , (better than Harry ) , Jim Thorburn , Hugh Gilshan ( just for his goal v gers at love street in 1 0 win .

Can't honestly agree with you . Gilmour's record is there for all to see , he took over in bad times won promotion , kept us in top flight . Won a national competition , moved Stadium ( I'd have preferred to stay at Love St but he'd argue differently ) . He was a good leader and had a presence about him .

No way did Gordon put in 600 k he's borrowed it . Now there is a massive difference . Its most likely been a condition of the lenders that he got 1,000 subscribers . There is no contingency plan for this ( just like the recently published accounts ) . So the people who have signed up at the moment ( including myself ) will still be paying in future years ? Won't happen sorry as people will pull out for many different reasons . I will personally ask Gordon how much he actually put in . However he is under no obligation to give an answer .
