Not been on here for a long time - but wanted to share - been ill for about 5 days now (fever, aches etc) - with a cough like no other - but not testing positive (daughter tested positive first day) - I finally tested positive last night. I can honestly say I have never been so unwell in my life - I’ve had some health issues in the last year but this is different level (in terms of symptoms). Covid is back (In my hoose anyway) - please don’t underestimate this buds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dundee utd v St Mirren, 18/3/23
RichardBuddie replied to faraway saint's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Really looking forward to this today, I have a feeling Utd will try and kick us off the park as they are in deep, deep trouble with the games running out fast. I’m sure Robbo will have the troops ready for this, would love the win but can’t see past the draw. Appreciate Dunne is suspended, hope Gallagher back in but wouldn’t discount shaughnessy and would love to see a fine Gogic midfield performance today too. COYS Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Remaining February Fixtures
RichardBuddie replied to faraway saint's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
If we win on Saturday it will give us a fantastic platform (gap) to take on the rest of February’s games. This Saturday is absolutely massive for us!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Telling the truth here in the sense that last year I was very much of the opinion that it was not Robinson team when he came in and we were on the bad run, however bit by bit he is building something good. I’ve got to state though, regardless of that poor run the abuse the man took from his own fans walking up those stairs after the 4 - 2 away to Motherwell was absolutely disgraceful. What a job this guy is doing!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is it still the 2 Scottish/Italian lads that own it, I believe they also owned Cafe Royale opposite the Burch Bar when it originally opened? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gutted to hear this, been a while since I’ve been in. My mum used to leave that place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Heart of Midlothian v St Mirren SPFL PREMIERSHIP 13/1/23

Very disappointed not to take a draw from that game last night, that one wee lapse cost us the goal, thought we were far the better team in the second half - as many have rightly said a bit more composure (and luck) the ball would be hitting the back of the net more. Referee (and linesman) gave us nothing and how that wasn’t a penalty I’ll never ever know. Gogic was absolutely outstanding (a complete titan), we are very lucky to have him and special praise should go to Taylor and Main too. In fairness the whole team worked extremely hard. If we keep going like this the points will come - plenty to be positive about. Lastly, the atmosphere what electric at that match last night, felt like the most exciting game I’d been at for years - immense!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Agreed on Ayunga, simple layoff and it’s potentially 2-1, instead he loses the ball and seconds later it’s 3-0, he knew it as well!! Wasn’t just him that was honking though. Shame as it took a lot of time and money to get there and back today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Another thing - how refreshing it is to see a midfielder (O’Hara) running with the ball - surging up the park, causes mayhem!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Thoroughly enjoyed yesterday’s match, in all honesty I thought we’d be very lucky to get out of there with a draw. The whole team were outstanding, I knew after the first goal Utd were vulnerable to get hit on the break and our football in exploiting just that was brilliant, second goal really took the wind out their sails. Carson’s save from the Finnish boy (who did well when he came on) was massive, at 0-2 that would have given them some lift. And the chorus of “you’re getting sacked in the morning” to the pompous self indulging snake Jack Ross just to round the day off. If Carlsberg did trips to Tannadice…….. Aberdeen v St Mirren 6 August 2020

Couple of good ones in second half. Point being whilst he may have been at fault for second goal just prior to that he clearly shouted for defenders to leave the ball. Heard guys in the toilet slating him - feel a bit sorry for him actually. Not seen the Gallagher ‘handball’ back yet on TV. Game was done after that!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Carson shouted for his defenders to leave the ball (heard it clearly) in the moments prior to the move for the second goal - if they listen/comply that goal doesn’t happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Looking forward to this today, need to stamp our own mark on the game, they will be fired up to put a good show on for their fans - we need to somehow try and stop that. Would definitely start with Main (for his physicality)!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
We’ve got to give the guy a chance as he’s literally just in the door. Initial observations are that he has that electric turn of pace, does appear to head straight for goal regardless if there are better options (yesterday there was an easy lay off to Grieve for a possible goal). I do see similarities in playing style as Morais. Hopefully turns out to be a good signing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

St. Mirren Vs FC Edinburgh 23rd July 2022
RichardBuddie replied to Mainstand Sweary Mob's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
That was a piece of magic from Tait, I sit in M7 and had a great view, his take down was immense then to turn the defender inside out for a very nice goal to follow was a joy to see!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Was watching him prior to kick off, seems a real team player with bags of confidence, played well today bearing in mind he’s literally just landed in the country. Seems to have quick speed of thought too - there was a moment in the second half when he just pulled out of going for the ball, had he done so would have been a guaranteed yellow (possibly more). Very early days but this guy might turn into a bit of a fans favourite. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agreed, this is the perfect opportunity to give Dylan a run out, albeit Ethan has been ok. Kind of agree with the point previous posters have made though - we are out of time for experimenting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Well I’ve buckled and just bought our tickets, convincing myself it will be worth it - perhaps I’ll see Dylan Reid & Keanu Baccus on the park. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

New kit for 22/23

Goodness me - I was getting all excited, wonder if there’s an issue as normally both kits are released simultaneously, TBH I was holding back on buying my boy the home kit (as I hate the shorts) until I saw the away kit, if you’re right regarding the timing that is super late…. I have to say I think the red stripe on the white shorts really looks out of place and consequently ruins the strip. I personally think the white shorts and socks would have grown on me, however that red stripe is bloody awful, why not just make it black - there was already enough nice flashes of red on the top? So far as my 12 year old son goes - I’m hoping for a better away strip!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Just checked this myself, I have barcode only for season ticket with barcode and QR code for Arbroath game. I do understand something will get sent out (season ticket wise) before season starts. Starting to wonder if we’ll get in tomorrow?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Abaadeen v St Mirren 15th May 22
RichardBuddie replied to Cookie Monster's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Will be heading off soon. You do have to wonder when the computer sets the fixtures who signed off on the 12 noon kick off? For the sake of the travelling fan could they not have kicked the games off at 2pm - there were no trains as such, therefore it’s either a hotel or an early Sunday start. However when we leave Aberdeen with our 2-1 victory none of this will no longer matter to me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
