1. I have never been much of a people person but I have noticed that since lockdown measures have been removed that I am finding I absolutely cannot tolerate other people. I am having to pick my shopping times very carefully for the sake of my sanity.
Fake tans, topless, bald, fat, tattooed blokes, weegie accents everywhere, doddery f**kers who spend ages looking at packs of identical chicken wings, kids getting in the way of everyone, people wearing stupid masks and then walking right past you with no distancing at all, MacDonalds litter virtually on every spare patch of roadside in the town, people driving like cunts, tailgating, flashing you to try to force you to speed up when you are already at the speed limit, people hanging out their car windows screaming at the top of their voices, garden parties with loud music.........
Its all too much. What the hell is going on?

Couldn’t agree more on the bad driving, over the last 14 weeks or so I have witnessed some absolutely shocking driving!!
2. Hope the red and black monstrosity is just a Change strip and not a top worn in every fecking away match.
Black and white stripes in .every match unless a clash of colours.
A black or white only Back would be shite.

Agree on the backs of the strips part Shull (if that turns out to be the case), but I really believe the red one is a cracker. Think the club have done well with both this year!!
3. YAAAS!!
AC Milan stylee - have been waiting for this since I missed out on buying it the last time we used it.
Definite purchase for both me and my son.
Saints playing a blinder in terms of fund raising this time I think!

Away tops an absolute stormer, just bought my son one with home black shorts, when you look close on website the baby kit has the black shorts with a wee red trim, they would have been better had they been available in his size!!
4. BP announce 2,000 job losses in the UK, 10,000 worldwide. [emoji20]
No doubt Ayrshire Saints will blame the UK government.

Aye this is bad, BP are one of the biggest client for the oil services company I work for, they had already cut their portfolio of modifications for their offshore assets due to oil price slump / Covid.
5. Just got a text from Jet2 saying my flight to Rome on the 6th of July has been cancelled. They're no re-starting flights until the 15th of July.
Haven't received the e-mail yet to find out how to get a refund.

You’ll very soon (if not already), get an email with your 3 options, option 3 is for your refund, I’ve already got my money back (about 2 1/2 weeks).

Jet2 have behaved very well and will definitely get my business again!!
6. I would really miss this forum, I use it every day, furthermore it’s native use of providing St. Mirren information is great, I personally could do without the conflict but do have to admit it is quite funny at times (prior to getting out of hand).

I don’t want the forum to go!!

7. Spain will not be accepting international tourists next month, relax, assuming it's a package and not just a J2 flight it will be cancelled

You called it spot on - I will now sit tight and wait on the call for my no quibble refund!!

Feel for any other poor souls that may be in the position where they are contractually locked in with an airline but have a shielded individual in their family - in my case my 10 year old boy.

Might buy our season tickets now - but then that’s a debate for another thread [emoji3]
8. Assuming you have tried your insurance company about this.
I would be surprise if that flight went ahead since it is only 5 weeks away.
If it did, could you not try and sell your holiday on to someone else and get some cash back ?

I’ve not contacted the insurance yet as I’m not too keen to ‘show my hand’ - it’s a good idea, I’m just hoping that Jet2 push their dates out and then I could get the no quibble refund.

I’ve absolutely no desire to take a risk and it’s too soon, the holiday would likely be rubbish now anyway!!

9. One of the current debates is when can people get away on holiday, I mean abroad.
I was originally reasonably sure later in the year, October onward, we could get away.
Then I wavered and thought this year would be a "no go" for everyone.
Now other countries are already slowly opening up and the signs are that the current obstacles over flights and quarantine could be overcome.
I've already mentioned we've been ok with a full refund so we're primed and ready to go, if the opportunity arises later in the year.
Slightly concerned the prices will initially rise, if so, they can shove it, I'll wait till next year.

As stated earlier in the thread I’m locked in with Jet2 and due to fly to Lanzarote on the 25/06, big problem is I have a type 1 diabetic 10 year old son and we will not be flying under any circumstances- lesser problem is unless they cancel by pushing flight window out is that I lose £1200

Ouch!!
10. Sit tight, almost certain you'll not be flying anywhere in June so you'll get the offer of a credit voucher to use when the time is right or a full refund.

I do agree, I cannot see the Spanish just ‘opening up’ since we could essentially bring the virus into their country.

Heartened to read that they were good with you regarding your refund!!
11. Just had Jet2 on the phone, we had booked a holiday in Portugal for June 6th.
They have been going through bookings in date order, a surprisingly logical approach.
Pleasant telephone call, we made it clear we'd prefer a refund rather than a holiday voucher, within 2 minutes a confirmation e-mail came through that a full refund was agreed.
They have been excellent throughout, although this hasn't been enough for some people, pouring out the usual nonsense on Facebook.
This level of customer service goes a long way with us, when the green light is given for foreign holidays we will definitely be using them again.
Well done. :thumbs2
PS Money ALREADY transferred back through PayPal, can't ask for any more.
Efficient, one person deals with the whole process, not passed onto another department where it could get lost in a sea of paperwork.

We are booked with Jet2 for Lanzarote on 25/06, I have heard that Jet2 will make another announcement on 18/05, the problem I have is that I don’t actually want to go now (my son has health issues) but obviously can’t cancel yet (or I’ll lose my cash).

I personally can’t see us flying on 25/06, has anyone heard about any pending Jet2 announcements or an extension to the date on them resuming flights from 17/06 or any other ideas? We do have good insurance.
12. So, we're right in the middle of this "crisis".
What has it meant for you?
Right now it's meant the cancellation of a couple of planned visits to restaurants for a birthday and mother's day.
Shopping, due to utter fcukwits, has become more of a military operation, trying to hit the shops at certain times but, overall, no real major issues getting food.
Work wise, nothing concrete in the Oil & Gas industry, we're not overly busy but the first quarter can be like that in normal times.
I did, after a few of the guys were getting jittery, slightly change the start/stop times of the night shift to reduce possible contamination with the day shift.
Not convinced it'll matter but if it psychologically keeps them happy then no harm done.
Possibly lucky no financial hardship as yet but there's a way to go in this before we can start to return to normal.
As I've already mentioned, no sport is a killer, nothing to watch at the weekend and nothing to bet on.
Suppose if that's as bad as it get's I'm doing alright.

I’m in the Oil and Gas game too Faraway working with a large Aberdeen based company, as my son has a chronic health condition I got told to work from home from Tuesday only for the whole company to rapidly follow suit. I don’t know how long this can be sustained cause if the client (BP) stop / suspend the work I’ve had it. Also can’t help but think about the efficiency or lack of that working from home brings.

Testing times ahead.
13. I am not friendly with or know many forum members (as far as I know), however a couple of years ago I was standing next to Mr Zo (haven’t seen him post for a while) at the Dundee Utd away game on the Tuesday night when we were going for the title and he was a great guy to chat away with!!

14. Lots of truth in what you write. We were dismal in the first half and but for Hladky / Poor finishing by Well then yes we could have been behind. Second half was as you know a different story and Hodson managed to get forward more. Waters was not left as exposed one on one. What changes would you make to the starting 11?

I was a wee bit worried first half about our left hand side (Waters) and wonder if this is something Aberdeen may try and exploit, if we over compensate with cover (for Waters) it may inhibit us a bit in attack (on the left hand side), as for changes I’m not too sure, but what I am sure of is that we need to start with that second half mindset and drive, because Aberdeen are physical and quite savvy!!
15. Clearly you find it impossible to post anything remotely on topic. How little you know.. Little man is not an epithet that people would ascribe to me. Baz can speak for himself. Now, about the game. I would start with the same line up as we did on Tuesday.

Not so sure about starting the same on Saturday Ricky, if we do we need the mentality (and desire) that we had in the second half the other night. Had Motherwell been more clinical Tuesdays game could have been done and dusted by half time!!
