  1. Got to agree with the last part of this post, with the exception of our captain I saw no fight or dig from the team, we were all over the place yesterday, thistle simply blew us away (particularly in the first half). I am a bit worried as based on that yesterday 'streetwise' teams such as Falkirk and Dundee United could potentially do the same to us if we don't get our act together. For me that was as bad yesterday as QOS at home back in January.
  2. Hi, not knowing the specific design but the previous posters point is a good one, perhaps the joiner could manufacturer a plinth which you could screw the bottom to then glue the top onto, there are some very very strong glues on the market right now.
  3. And there's me thinking this thread would never get off the ground!!
  4. Don't worry Jack and James will propel us right up to the summit of that league next season!!
  5. We'll get off to a flyer this season!!
  6. Really pleased that my cult hero has signed up again, Super Stelios!!!!!
  7. I agree, I think Loy was very good for us in the time we had him, he worked very hard and scored some very important goals to keep us up.
  8. I do not think for one moment he will go, but if he does it's pretty poor show, as a lot of the lads have signed up due to him, this could really screw up the whole recent positivity around the place, if I was GS I would tell Dundee to feck off and sign Jack up on improved terms!!
  9. Aye, that is one mighty financial boot in the baws for Dundee United, here's hoping we give them a few hidings next season!!
  10. My scenario much more simple (or so it may appear), chase up my 12 year old daughter to get ready on time take the same route along Glasgow road, turn down Greenhill Road, turn right and park in my 'lucky spot' under the railway bridge on Murray Street. Sad I know but hey it works for me!!
  11. Just read some of this stuff, this (in my opinion) after all the feel good factor of the last few months is NOT where we as a collective unit want to be going, I hope our manager & captain fantastic have a strong word in this young mans ear!!
  12. I just hope he's in our squad/team next season, I think this guy is the business!!
  13. This is just horrible, when I read this first thing this morning my first thoughts were that this heinous terrorist attack was 'designed' for teenagers and children. I have a 12 year old girl, who knows if this concert had been in Glasgow she may very well have been there. I know this is what they (the terrorists) want but I am genuinely scared for the future.
  14. This is just getting better and better, now for Stelios???
  15. Easy Shull, I like most of the stuff you post here, but I have to defend Billy, he has came in to a losing team facing relegation and yes he's made mistakes but also played very well, I personally want Billy signed up as no1 next season.
  16. Bit harsh that, I thought the boy did ok for us, yes some mistakes, but he is a young boy that was thrown into a really pressurised situation from the off and I'm sure he'll be all the better for that 4 months he had with us!!
  17. If we can get Davis that would be great as I thought he was brilliant for us, I feel we would have been safe with games to spare but for that unfortunate injury.
  18. Can't blame the boy for wanting to move on and progress his career and to make a bit more cash too. He has been immense the last four months and I really agree with previous poster as without his performances we'd likely be in a different league next season. Very best of luck young man!!
  19. I am sure the board and management team will not start next season like the last regardless if we lose 3 or 4 1st team players (due to transfers), I do agree with previous poster that Dundee Utd will be in big trouble if they don't negotiate the playoffs, which could benefit us big time. If JR can sign the caliber of players that he has signed to date I see no reason why we can't make the playoffs, it's a tough league after all.
  20. Fair play for the kind words, very classy and good luck to you guys next season, I knew it was going to be a very tough game yesterday and boy oh boy I wasn't wrong!! I mentioned on another thread the puzzled look of the hibs fans near us in your main stand and the staff in the corner at the noise coming from the buddies fans. So relieved it turned out ok as anything could have happened in those playoffs!!
  21. Our stand was absolutely rocking today, my daughter and I were over at the far left side and I was watching the Hibs fans in their main stand an the staff in the corner, the looks on their faces!! We totally out sung, out drummed and out clapped them. Great day, I even got a handshake from my cult hero Stelios at the end (prior to him almost falling backwards over the advertising board. Very strange day as I woke up this morning feeling terribly ill (food poisoning or a bug), however we stuck to our commitment and I am so glad. Everyone associated with our club deserves huge credit, the courage the directors, management & players have shown is outstanding, it would have been very easy to hide today but no, each and everyone fought for their jersey (and each other). COYS!!
  22. Starting to get nervous now, heading off to game later with daughter, worried about the 'only needing a draw' factor, let's just hope we come out all guns blazing and are 2 up in the first 15 minutes, that would knock the wind right oot them!!
