Agreed Ricky, if my sums are right and we better St Johnstone’s result we are safe. After todays very good performance and win we surely need to keep this going and go out and win the game. 2 - 0 saints!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

St Johnstone v St Mirren, 30/4/22

This referee today, I honestly don’t know how he’s in the job - really is a sight to see!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The mob I work for (large Aberdeen based Oil & Gas services provider) introduced TOIL where you accrue enough time over a set period to take the time off (again within a set period). The big problem is they are so busy there is almost the feeling of ‘guilt’ when taking your earned TOIL time off and as such you don’t really enjoy it and furthermore have a mountain of work to come back to. My own thoughts on these things are they sound great, are great to get people recruited in through the door but the reality is it’s just not practical. Maybe I’m just getting cynical in my old age but I generally just don’t companies any more!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Really had to laugh yesterday, I sit in M7 and even before I took my seat I realised there were lots of new faces (Rangers Fans), funnier even was the two strong northern Irish accents querying which pie to buy at the catering then looking at their tickets to navigate to their seats [emoji28] It got even better when my son saw his Rangers supporting friend from his running club. In fairness I never spotted one bit of bother inside and outside of the stadium yesterday. There was never 6,500 in our stadium yesterday!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hearts v St Mirren, Scottish Cup Quarter Final
RichardBuddie replied to faraway saint's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Got to say that was probably one my best saints games (atmosphere wise), I truly thought it was going to be our night, whilst we may have given Hearts a bit of a ‘bloody nose’ we fell short on the night. Cannot fault us for effort but a few observations as follows:- 1) unless injured why did we take Gogic off - I thought he was immense. We would be doing well if we could get him for next season. 2) Some very lucky team is going to get Connor Ronan next year - wish the boy all the luck in the world - he’s been brilliant for us - I must have watched that strike about 100 times since - an absolute cannon of a strike. First senior cap beckons surely? 3) Hearts a bit lucky with first and third goals, we could maybe have done more for the third (and fourth). Was tiredness after Wednesday a factor? 4) Our support - phenomenal. Don’t know if it was the Saturday night, the lights, the stadium but what a backing the team was given. Let’s hope our season doesn’t fizzle out - so much to play for and be positive about. COYS Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Scott Brown as our new manager? Surely not?
RichardBuddie replied to doakie's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
I think we should be targeting the most experienced individual we can as opposed to taking a risk. Would take Malky Mackay as my first choice if we couldn’t get him I’d be more than happy with Jack Ross back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

He must have been taking drugs today - apart from their wee spell at the start of the second half we were the better team. We were so close with Greive sliding in at the far post for 2 nil. Oh and the booing from the home fans - that’s what he should be focusing on!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
St Mirren v Kelty Hearts Scottish Cup Fifth Round
RichardBuddie replied to shull's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Bought my tickets yesterday - is it just me being a tight @rse but £22 for an adult seems a bit steep. Don’t get me wrong it’s tempered somewhat by the £7 for my son, but £22 to watch Kelty? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Aye - this will be tough today - particularly getting the ball in the net IMO - the Hibees are hardly on fire to be fair but with the game on their patch they will want and need the win. I do wonder if our tactics may get tweaked to try to get goals from midfield (easier said than done I know) due to our striker scenario. Main/Erwin starting up front on their own? Appreciate its not free but I used an app called just park and got a space for £8.00 for 4 hours, I wouldn’t normally have done this but understand tomorrow to be bucketing with rain and didn’t want the hassle of getting drenched pre match. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I’m in the same boat - there’s no way I can do a midweek up there, would like to think there should be no fuss over a refund. Our lady at the ticket office was great regarding refunding my Sevco game monies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Maybe a bit too thick and fast for my household, after returning from 1/2 way to Dundee was planning the week ahead with the wife and explained the boy would not be at his running club on Tuesday - needless to say she wasn’t aware of the small matter of this match…. We’ll be there - I hope… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Forecast is sunny with strong winds on BBC. Do you think there’s any danger of the game not going ahead? It’s bad through in Paisley and seemingly to head east. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Yeah FS he appeared a wee bit naive at times tonight and on one occasion bottled it a wee bit going in for a challenge, tried his best and ran the lines etc. Will need to settle properly, hopefully will be a useful player for us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Yeah, I quoted on the match day thread, early days but I quite like the look of this kid, he’s not the biggest but is quick and direct - looks quite fearless too. If he didn’t get hauled back yesterday he was on for a shot. My boy and I both thought he deserved a goal yesterday. Subject to the game dynamic on Tuesday could be very useful if brought on as a sub - may be a slight risk to start him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree Ricky, I thought Grieve did ok yesterday, good awareness and a desire to get to goal, fully appreciate the boy is just in the door and needs to integrate but coming on as a sub here and there will in the short term help the boy. He looks as if he may need to bulk up just a little bit IMO, however in the very short spell I have seen him he definitely offers more than Main & Erwin. However to completely contradict myself I think Main could be useful against Aberdeen on Tuesday as they will undoubtedly kick lumps out of us!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ayr United v St. Mirren , 22nd or 23rd Jan 2022
RichardBuddie replied to Eric Arthur Blair's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Aye you called it spot on FS, I was advised to go round the other side of the entrance (back of goal was to my right where the young team were in) and it was great, we were flush with 18 yard line, think my boy struggled a bit to see first half when we were attacking down our left, however superb views of us attacking second half - all in all was a good day. Was glad I was not behind goal as there were smoke bombs let off and the smoke was pretty thick. Speaking of thick right at the start of the game a partially lit object got thrown and landed next to Jak - whoever threw that needs their head looked at!! Anyway onto Dundee next week - and a seat to sit on!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I was impressed with what I saw of Grieve today - he has a directness about his game - not one to hide, demanding the ball. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
