  1. Good to see Reilly & Stewart on the scoresheet already Gets it right up the boo boys who were doubting our strikers before the season had even started
  2. Depends on who he signs for in England presumably? Incidentally, last season was our first visit to Parkhead in the Scottish Cup in 14 years. Orient played Arsenal in a FA Cup tie at the Emirates in 2011. Attendance was 59,631.
  3. Presumably he will if they get drawn away against the likes of Man United, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, West Ham, etc, etc, etc, etc?
  4. I think the disappointment with Jon mcshane is that he scored quite a few goals when out on loan at a young age didn't seem to fulfil the early promise
  5. Wikipedia says he is the younger cousin of ex Accies player John McShane. The is the John McShane who was at Saints as a youth and played a few games in the first team as a sub?
  6. I was having a look at the Man United forum the other day and half their fans were raging that they'd signed Lukaku. Terrible first touch, can't hold the ball up, can't pass, doesn't track back, too lazy, etc, etc. Reminds me of the comments on here anytime we sign a striker!
  7. we are definitely weaker as Mallan has gone then again Mallan was there for the first half last season when we were rooted to the bottom i still expect us to sign a couple of players. In the past, last minute arrivals like Lavety, Adam and Sutton turned us into champions will that happen again? being greedy, a centre half, midfielder and striker would be ideal based on JRs comments the other night i think he will bring in a midfielder and striker as I've been championing him, i predict Gavin reilly will be a regular goal scorer. I also predict Morgan will replace Mallan's goals and assists on the basis that Morton managed the top 4 last season, i see no reason why we can't this season
  8. listening to JRs comments after the Alloa game it sounds to me that he wanted another striker as the number 1 priority the magennis injury now means that a midfielder is now the priority but ideally he would like both
  9. you should maybe try offering an opinion of your own for once then again, maybe not, premium bonds
  10. it could have been the best thing to ever happen to Scottish fitba their liquidation was a fantastic opportunity but the likes of pozbaird, oaksoft and faraway not only wanted to keep them alive... They wanted them fast tracked into the SPL It's folk like that who have ruined Scottish football shame on them
  11. Again, a big argument over our need to sign another striker we've just signed Gavin Reilly. 25 league goals in 49 starts at this level he proved himself at this level over 2 seasons still only 24, was 4th top scorer in a league containing The Rangers, Hearts and Hibs. He scored morr than anyone at The Rangers or Hearts. we've also permanently signed Smith, presumably as a no. 10 Reilly has come here to be the main striker with Smith coming here to be his no. 10 we have an experienced back up in Sutton and a younger striker in Stewart i believe the reason we didn't splash out to get Loy is because signed Reilly! If we can sign someone better than Reilly then great but i think it unlikely
  12. I suspect you will be disappointed I have also never understood why folk are so keen on "experienced" arrivals". Langfield. Webster, Quinn and Clarkson were "experienced" arrivals I would be happy with "good arrivals"
  13. Not that I would do this myself but the easy way around it is to just keep registering new alias'....
  14. I always like to think of 99/00 At the end of the previous season we lost O'Brien, McNamee and Innes. 3 quality players. But we did ok in the end....
  15. Webster as well so down 2 centre halves. Maybe JR rates Whyte?
  16. Mallan is obviously the main man we have lost. Top scorer, most assists. If we still had him then I don't think we'd be having this debate. I'm hopeful that Stewart, Buchanan and Reilly will prove to be decent enough replacements for O'Brien, Davis and Loy. Can Mallan be replaced? It allows Magennis to play in the centre rather than out wide. This may allow McGinn and Morgan to attack more. We may have a more natural attacking player on the right, like Hilson or Todd. Smith may contribute even more now he's settled in and with Mallan being away. Kirkpatrick may produce the goods. I think we've got a squad good enough to make top 4.
  17. have switched between the ISC and koi in noor over the years tried the multan on the advice of a mate recently rank rotten don't like the mirage either rainbow garden on neilston road is the beat chinese
  18. aye, ISC is the best get a take away from there every week now that i know that u go there i might reconsider...
  19. If we hadn't already signed Reilly then I could understand the clamour to get in another striker. Reilly is a proven goal scorer at this level. 25 goals in 49 starts with QoS in the Championship. He was 4th top scorer in a Championship that included Hearts, The Rangers and Hibs. He scored more goals than anyone at Hearts or The Rangers. Reilly is still only 24. He's still young and hungry and proven at this level. Reilly and Smith haven't come here to sit on the bench. They are here to play every week. Sutton, Stewart and possibly Hilson give us other options. I think we will get goals.
  20. crosses don't need to be played in the air.... Leicester city won the league just over a year ago, the sublime wing play of mahrez, conceding possession and hitting long balls were the major features other than the cameo sub, they didn't have big strikers
