This will be my last comment on the matter, as I am conscious that this is a match thread.
Elvis, I haven't voted for many years. I have stated as much, however if you don't believe me then there's little I can do about it, as even if I were inclined to try to prove my lack of a party political affiliation, then I do not see how that's possible.
I have seen no evidence that Ross is any worse than those other three mentioned - one of whom is being investigated by the police for very serious matters, another was alleged to have been a sex pest (albeit not found guilty of the 14 allegations, to the very, very high standard of proof required).
The reaction to this is exactly why I don't like the club or our fans being overtly political, i.e. it is divisive. I cannot help but  think that when @TPAFKA Jersey 2 states 'my point was that REGARDLESS of your politics, all right thinking people should think Ross is a c**t', it is actually because of Ross's politics he has formed such an opinion of him. However, I am not willing to explore this any more. I don't come here to talk about politics and I feel I have made my point. I will not respond to any antagonism or abuse directed at me, not that I am anticipating any, and will bow out of this conversation. Thanks.

I gave up on politics well over a decade ago. I think politicians are pretty much all self-serving, spineless hypocrites - though I can at least admire Ross for taking an interest in the game and having the baws to run the line. And I certainly don't think he's any worse than Sturgeon, Salmon or Yousaf.
I find party politics to be tribalistic and divisive - the assertion that 'all right thinking people must think Ross is a c**t' is illustrative of this - therefore I don't like to see our club involved in it in anyway (unless a party is willing to pay for advertising boards). I would happily leave that to the arsecheeks.

I appreciate many folk don't like him. However, not all of our support will despise him as you clearly do, so in that respect it's divisive. Besides, irrespective of one's politics, I think it takes guts for him to run the line. I can't imagine any other Scottish politician having the (metaphorical) balls to do it? Alex Salmond, Nicola Sturgeon or Humza Yousaf? Nae chance.

Stephen Robinson being linked with the Hibs job after Johnson's sacking. Only to be expected, I suppose.
Funny business being a football manager these days. If your manager loses a few games, he gets the sack, but if he puts together a winning streak, another club comes along and takes him away. So how does a club like ours achieve stability and then continuity of performance?

Wasn't able to attend yesterday. Had to make do with PPV.  Bitter sweet feeling, having taken 7 points from 9 in our 3 league games, but knowing it should have been 9 from 9.
Brilliant performance from every Buddie who took the field. Completely outplayed Aberdeen for the whole game. A joy to watch.
Hemming's mistake for the first goal, I'm afraid, but he has credit in the bank for his previous penalty save and general performances so far. Fine run by Mandron and link-up with Greive for our second goal.
As for VAR, I tend to side with the other 'oldies' that it has spoiled the flow of the game. Everything has already been said about the Aberdeen penalty, I think, but who decides the amount of stoppage time - the referee or the VAR official? If we hadn't had 8 minutes added on, the penalty would never have been given.
A nice OF draw at Ibrox next week and a win for us at Livi would put us top of the table. Feels really strange, as a Saints fan, to be thinking that way, but as always.....

It says a lot about this team that we fought back from being a goal down and are disappointed with a draw. However, we played them off the park today and I am gutted to lose like that, but proud of the team.
I hope the lads can pick themselves up and get a result next weekend at Livingston(?).

Talented and quick player still learning the game. If he can get the balance between his ‘enthusiasm’ and keeping the heed he will be a real asset. Good competition/cover for Tanser who has made a great start to the season.
Glad to have him back on board.

The Dons finished last season very strongly under Robson, but they haven't started so well this season, though one of their games was against Celtic. Sunday's game comes after a trip to Europe for them, so I think we have a decent chance of getting at least a draw. But we must play for 90 minutes, and not let them into the game in the second half as we did against Hibs and Motherwell.

Massive game this-a win and we're 8 points clear of Aberdeen.
Even at this early stage of the season that would be f'n marvellous.

Was feeling confident about this game until I saw Motherwell's new guy, Biereth, on Sportscene on Sunday. On loan from Arsenal, big strong lad playing up front, scored a fine goal at the weekend and will need to be kept quiet by our defence. Today I hear that O'Hara is ruled out for this game and another two as well, so not feeling nearly so confident now. Still, as always.....

Remember the pelters Richard Taylor was getting when he first arrived, not to mention Olusanya, I think the manager knows what he is getting and how to improve them so it may take a bit but Bolton will hopefully follow the same path.

yes, have to agree much as goal line tech should be here, more to the point plastic pitches shouldn't, in premier grounds.

Listened to the game on Sunday on a train coming home from a week's holiday. Was in raptures when we went 2 goals up. Heaven knows what the passengers around me thought I was listening to. Back down in the dumps second half when we lost 2 goals. Jumped out of my seat when Greive got the winner. By this time my fellow passengers realised I was listening to a game of football, I think.
Disappointed with the BBC highlights. As it was the only Premiership game played on Sunday, they touted it beforehand as 'extended highlights'. Ended up being just 5 minutes , showing the goals and very little else. Wonder if they'd have given it the same treatment if it had been an OF game.
However, excellent result and a great way to start the season. Can't wait to get to the SMISA stadium on Saturday to see the boys pick up 3 points against Dundee.

Happy with that. Good professional performance.
This game though really did emphasise how good Strain is. Really hope that was just a wee knock at the end and more importantly, that we can hang onto him.

Deja vu from this time  last season unfortunately. Was sat in the main stand and Robbo was returning some abuse back to some Saints fans in the second half. Not a good look from both sides who were obviously frustrated.
Lack of quality in the final third, Dunne, Fraser and Gallagher all struggling at the back, no composure, long diagonal  punts from us instead of trying to play football and second to a lot of balls. Brutal watch.
Gogic was by far our best player but gets hooked??? O’Hara played ok. Greive worked his socks of but with no effect on the game.
Early doors, but Mandron looked poor, was absolutely schooled by a 39 year old part time centre back. His lack of physicality and touch is a worry.
McMenamn looked tidy but spent the game chasing long balls and looked out of position.
Collum had a typically poor game too and should’ve played advantage for the foul at the edge of the box that fell perfectly for O’Hara who slotted it home, but no excuses; we were dire against a dire Montrose team.
Can’t comprehend not qualifying out that group, but a real possibility now if we play like that in the other games.

Was one of my first heroes at Love Street along with Ally McLeod.  He played with his heart on his sleeve and his "wanders" up the park were eagerly anticipated by the fans of the day.  He survived cancer and a stroke before that awful disease got him in the end.  So sad.
