The biggest point to me is, if they have done this once, how many other times have they done something similar, or how many times would they have done something similar if they had got away with this time.

It's not really about the scope of the "crime", it's about the trustworthiness of those involved.

Baz I think it is admirable that you are so committed to the current ownership model but sometimes it comes across as slavish unquestioning obedience and that isn't necessarily a good thing.

Surely, the first rule of planning applications is to have the landowners consent to use their land before submitting any planning application and not to seek their permission retrospectively? 
Not sure how it would have panned out if the planning application had been approved (without this furore) & then The Club declined a request to build on their land. The right thing to do was to ask first.

To be fair, I don't know anyone (not even Alan) who refers to him as Mr St Mirren.  That was just a press invention, though he really should have nipped it in the Bud (pun intended).

The ban seemed quite spiteful and uncalled for. He got a lot of stick due to the 'Mr St. Mirren' moniker, but the guy loves the club and robbing him of that over a dispute wasn't reasonable behaviour, IMHO. 

IIRC (though I could be wrong), Alan's action against "the club and the board (as a whole)" was due to the stadium ban and totally separate from any proceedings the Kibble members of the board had taken (or implied they were taking) regarding Alan's comments.  It seems unlikely that Alan dropping the threat of legal action resulted in the decision to lift the ban (at least directly) as that was not the reason for the ban in the first place.  More likely that the board has said to Alan "we'll let you back in but we want you to drop the legal action" and Alan has replied "OK, the legal action was only because of the ban".  So, in respect of this matter only, Alan gets what he wants without proceeding with legal action.  In essence, the board have realised that they haven't got a (legal) leg to stand on regarding the ban and Alan's threat of legal action has made them shit themselves.
The statement's wording is just a bit of spin to save face.

in all seriousness I can see why they made the (correct)  decision early and it saves the day trippers from setting off only to be disappointed and inconvenienced later, hangover here we come.

The next couple of games could be really beneficial for us (league table wise) if we do our job as the Edniburgh duo meet the Glasgow duo in consecutive weeks.
Fingers crossed we get back to a more fluid style of play and pressing more in attack. The last few games have been a bit off compared to the previous efforts.

Nope, if ever there was a time to beat Rangers its now.
They are complete junk. I've watched a number of their games this season and failed to see anything in them especially away from Ibrox.
If they didn't have Butland it would be far worse.
We have been superb at home for a long time now and should be looking for 3 points from this and nothing less.

Looking forward to this.

Reading this, made me think this is a really valid point, we do miss a leader such as Shaugnesey, whilst not the quickest or even best defender; we have had in recent years, he did seem to be the glue that connected such defense as was on the park.  I am not implying any degree of perfection here, just that we miss that ability.
