I too have a different vibe from this and last season’s squad. This season though we may be slightly stronger.
As long as we continue this way then why should we be cowed by teams resting on historical success (Aberdeen, Hearts) or form.
It’ll go some way to beating the Sir Tom Hendrie season but I’d ask all Saints fans what would?
Top 4, Cup win and Europe?
For me anything like that would be amazing.

I missed this and didn't see anyone else comment.  Good news and it must mean he is well on the way back now.  Hard as hell to come back from ACL injuries and any lengthy lay off so a doff of the cap to the young man.
Hopefully see him getting game time after the next international break as the outlook is another few weeks as of last thursday

Only just finished watching his pre-Motherwell interview and I just love how real this lad is, no airs and graces and it would seem he has an appreciation of the help and support he has had from the club since arriving, a young man with huge integrity, I hope he goes far in his football journey but stays with us for a little while so we can appreciate his talent.

I haven't spoken to Alan in close to 20 years but i knew him and his father really well as they were involved with Gleniffer Thistle. My brother played with Alan in that team and I lived opposite to him for a while.
His father and Billy Hassan who both ran the team were first class guys who were straight up with huge integrity. I always found Alan to be similar. Always a positive decent guy.
Given what has emerged on this issue and the discrepancies and investigations now into Kibble conduct I know which side of this i would be on.
As you say I wouldn't hold my breath on any kind of apology from Kibble, just lawsuits to stop the truth being communicated.

It makes you think that maybe a lifelong Saints fan who made the step up to the club's board  AKA ( Mr. Alan Wardrop,) had a point, given that what he implied was more or less what has transpired, and then again, one has to wonder, should Mr Wardrop not be proven to be uttering falsehoods if a certain other board member/chairman AKA (Mr John Needham) be so gracious as to offer an apology...............................DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH.

Always liked him as a player and got better with each year he has been in and around the team. At only 21 he still has afew years to go before peaking so he can be an outstanding player.
Never understood why some people had a downer on him, he suffered from being used wrongly when he was 17/18 in the team but has shown this season especially what he can do when played correctly.
Good luck to to the lad and hope he keeps learning and showing people they were wrong.

a  fair and very reasonable and realistic summary, yes we got the goal, excellent work from all, but they were slightly better and hungrier, in the second half

I'm not sure, apart from your pessimistic outlook, thats luck?
I would suggest an offside isn't luck and equalising late on says a lot for the attitude of the team.

Just watched the highlights. I think we got lucky today and ultimately I was glad my prediction of 1-1 came to pass.
We were due a bit of luck after last weekend, though. Top of the league! 🏁

Ah, there are two match day threads! @shull's was the original one, so I think this is the one that should rightly be used. Plus it's free of all the tangential/irrelevant pish (that I was also complicit in - mea culpa).
I'm concerned about today. I think some folk are getting carried away, after having read folk suggesting we're due to give a team a pasting.
I would be happy with a draw.
    1-1

It’s not a great word in my opinion. Well, not in this context anyway and shows Antrin’s disdain for his own people. Denigrating the entire country of Scotland because old firm fans are bigoted. Pitiful. What an English wannabe Uncle Tom he is.
Very little I dislike more than people who move away from Scotland and in doing start to believe they are better than those they left behind.

As Father Ted once said "priests aren't fascists, fascists walk around dressed in black telling other people what to do"
He tries to do that in no less than 4 jobs, nice work (sic) if you can get it.  I seem to remember him bleating about the pressure politics places on family time, ooh! the nerve!  He even cited his family when Ruthie baby resigned saying he knows how hard it is to juggle politics and family (his wife is a cop)
"Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross has been slammed by international human rights groups and Scottish Gypsy/Traveller elders after emails uncovered by openDemocracy show he tried to have a family of Travellers evicted by the local council because their camp was “very visible”.
In the email, released to openDemocracy under the Freedom of Information Act, Ross says “the site has now been occupied for some time and is in a very visible location as you enter Moray from the west.”
He also complains that “it seems to be getting bigger” and asks the council chief executive “what plans you have to take action to remove the Travellers from the site”.
He also spoke against drag queen story time, has he never been to a pantomime? (outside of the one he lives in)
Ross is an annoyance, i don't despise him even though he is an unerringly negative person whose main contribution to political discourse seems to be pointing out how bad everyone else is without having anything to refer to for his own merits.  He serves his side of the debate very poorly.

I'll get your last point out of the way. Why should anyone find it more tiresome to ensure the truth is always made clear when the lies are constantly spouted? I find it incredulous that anyone should continuously perpetuate the myth that rangers didn't become extinct.
To get onto your other points.
The analogy you make about coke and tesco etc is, IMHO, nonsense. They compete with product and price. In football there is NO competition without 2 teams o the park.
The reason I brought up the prize money is due to the shareout which is far more generous %wise to the lower league teams than it is in Scotland where, as far as the two @rsecheeks are concerned, is geared up to overwhelmingly benefit the top teams two which, as it stands, (and previously when the "real" rangers were alive), is almost invariably the @rsecheeks. I suspect if that were to change they would be the first to claim unfairness.

They take the lion's share of the league money and always will, they can afford to drop a couple of million to the common good fund, it's not as if they use it well and maybe a bit more competition would shake our league up.  Fans are coming back and they will want to see more competition.
The old firm have long complained that their poor performance in Europe was down to a lack of competition at home, but they have killed that by fixing the system and the one chance we had to restore balance was scuppered by an Aberdeen board that had ideas they could be a permanent 3rd force.
We need to remember that comparisons with the EP are not apples with apples, they share the TV money far more fairly with promotion payment gurantees (which makes a promoted side far more competitive as long as they havent pawned the silver to get promoted) and relegation cushion payments.  Look at how clubs with smaller stadia like Bournemouth, Brighton, Forest and others can mix it in the middle third of the table with clubs who get 35000-40000 and more for home games.  our system is geared to perpetuate the duopoly.

Point 1. There is no such thing as the "Old firm". You can thank me later.
Point 2. We cannot compare the Scottish scene to England. They are on a different stratosphere though I do believe the profits from TV is shared to lower leagues at the expense of those Sky want to televise. This is akin to sharing profits made from their games. You have to remember that there are hardly any games televised from Ipox and porkheed. It's their away games that are televised meaning, due to this and their own fans behaviour at away grounds, it is more likely that people will watch from afar possibly affecting the smaller club's revenue. That's part of the reason for clubs basically giving up their home advantage to generate home revenue,

IF the @rsecheeks are being honest about trying to make our league competitive then even giving a percentage of each game receipts would go some way to redressing the balance. Let's say each club gives 10% of the gate after expenses, to the team who have come to allow them to actually play the game. For clubs of similar size it would amount to almost the same thing as keeping their home gates. I'm not pretending this is the right way to go about it but there must be some way to cover travel costs and paying away staff for actually being there.

I am looking forward to a win here, a great opportunity to go back to the top of the table.   Every other game this weekend is potentially a draw and we will be in a really good position to come out of the international break with a strengthened squad which could see us into the LC semi-final.  As long as "that pitch" doesn't cause us more injuries on Saturday.  Outside of the Glasgow teams i see every match as winnable for us and we are even in good shape to shake those two up.

    Happy days.
I don't kid myself that we will be top 2 in May, the chances are there for a top 4 finish though and maybe a cup final appearance and being top 4-top 6 at the turn of year with LC success of some sort behind us will add potential funds and confidence when we assess the winter window.  This is THE time not to blow it in the old, familar way

What like turning up at Livingston on the day and paying with either card or cash.

    https://livingstonfc.co.uk/match/away-fans/

Tickets can be purchased online ahead of match day through a dedicated web link which we advertise on our web and social media at least a week before kick off.

We also have a dedicated ticket booth in our NorDan East Stand which is open on match days, and this accepts cash and card payments. It is located to the right of turnstiles 15, 16 and 17.

There is an entrance which is easily accessible for supporters who are unable to enter through the turnstiles for any reason.

This is located at the Section ‘O’ door in the middle of the East Stand and is able to be used any time this stand it open. It is manned by staff / volunteers who are able to scan your ticket for entry and then advise or assist if required.
