Sorry, don't see your logic there?
I have supported Saints through thick and thin from 1959, yes the year of our Cup success.
In these days crowds of 12 to 15,000 were regular and a quiet day was around 8,000. On OF visits it was packed to the rafters with 20,000+ numbers.
Throughout the 70's and 80's we all saw reduction in our support other than the terrible twins and even in Fergie's days we flirted with crowds of 6 to 10,000 but never regular repeats of the late 50's early 60's.
So we then entered our real doldrum days of crowds of 2,500 to 3,500 and some longish periods in the second tier of Scottish football. From that period we have never really recovered and now here we are in the next century and we had less than 4,000 at our cup game and just over that for the previous league game.
If we filled our stadium with 10,000 people each time we played, I would agree with you, but the reality of Scottish football, (and it is endemic) that you have to fight really hard to get above 6,000 unless you are the OF, Hearts, Hibs or Aberdeen.
Hence you build a stadium to meet your projected requirements. We can fill in the corners if we ever get to a point that might match your hoped for aspirations.

The club is owned by its shareholders so some of the cash is sort of theirs which is what I was pointing out , although as the cash does not even exist yet I guess the whole thread is abit moot

some surprising decisions from the ref thats for sure, more against us than for us but he was shocking for both teams.

    Good point under the circumstances

Thought he looked good from the subs bench when not match fit and new to professional football but he has gotten even better with each game, I am sure he will have dips but potential to be our best (hope that doesnt jinx him). Can't get too carried away as its only a couple of games but you can see he has something about him

I am a huge fan of the manager.

He arsed it pre break by trying to replicate the Fakes, and stubbornly persevered too long... But he had the sense and humility to change things.

    I'm behind him 100%

Will he get it right every time? No.

Will I back him 100%? Damned right.

Ethan is a good player and is getting better each year, some forget he is only 20 and still learning but I certainly hope we keep him for a good few years yet as he will form a good midfield anchor allowing the likes of Ronan, Kiltie etc (or whomever comes in in those roles) to do their thing.
He does get over criticised when he makes mistakes which I think makes him more nervous, Power makes mistakes but shrugs them off and gets stuck back in, Ethan tends to shrink back into himself when he makes one but he will learn I am sure with the coaches input.
