  1. You’re always good for some quality irony Drew. [emoji14]
  2. Wouldn’t be surprised if all the subs other than Sutton start tomorrow night.
  3. Show me where I've bashed Reilly? I've said on more than one occasion on this thread that I think he's been great. The stats show that Reilly isn't much more 'prolific' than Mullen.
  4. Your missus calls me Goodwillie [emoji8]
  5. On the contrary, I'm not down on our top goalscorer at all! He's been fantastic and I'd love to see him back in the side. I wondering why you are so down on Danny Mullen is my point! He's been a more than able deputy IMO!
  6. You can't even understand the stats! 3rd most effective striker! Which, you'd think, would be the very least for the main striker at the runaway leaders! But the fact remains that our goalscoring average has gone up since Reilly was benched. What can't talk, can't lie, arf, arf, arf! Interesting that the most effective striker is Ryan Hardie....
  7. You must have thought they were hilarious then!
  8. The Chuckle Brothers in top form today Except that the real Chuckle Brothers were at least mildly amusing....
  9. Why wouldn't you expect me to agree? I think Reilly has been great and would be delighted to see him in the side! My posts have purely been in response to the ill informed Mullen bashing.
  10. yeah and top clubs like Aberdeen top club, not clubs. 10 of Reilly's goals this season have been against lower league opposition Now, don't me wrong, I'm not saying that Reilly isn't effective. I think he's been great this season. My original point was in relation to the poster who stated that Reilly's goals haven't been replaced since he was benched. In actual fact, our goals per game average has gone UP since Reilly was benched. And a more meaningful comparison of the goal scoring potential of Reilly v Mullen is that Mullen has 6 league goals in 17 starts (the majority with an inferior side) while Reilly has 11 in 25 starts (all with the superior side). Mullen is a decent enough replacement for Reilly IMO based on the stats (which cant talk and cant lie apparently!)
  11. That's funny cos not in the Championship they don't. What cant talk cant lie!
  12. Reilly's goals in competitions other than the Championship weren't effective in the Championship at all. In the Championship, Reilly has 11 goals while Mullen has 6. Many of Mullen's appearances have been as a sub and were with a side who aren't as good or as attacking as St. Mirren. Most of Reilly's appearances have been from the start and have been with the best and most attacking team.
  13. Not only was my original post not actually serious, it was an attempt at sarcasm regarding the very speculation that we might sign Goodwillie. I agree with what you are saying!
  14. Why is Mullen's Livingston tally irrelevant? Did he not exist as a player before he joined St. Mirren? Should Liverpool not have played Mo Salah after they signed him because he hadn't scored any goals for them previously? The reason I'm comparing Mullen's last 5 games to Reilly's entire season is because those just happen to be the games where Mullen has started ahead of Reilly.... and despite our goals per game average going up over those 5 games, you stated that Reilly's goals hadn't been replaced! As I stated earlier, Mullen has scored 6 Championship goals this season compared with Reilly's 11. Reilly has started a lot more games as a striker than Mullen this season and has been playing in a better and more attacking side. I don't think there is a huge gulf in goalscoring potential between Mullen & Reilly. And, as I also mentioned earlier, Reilly's goals obviously have been replaced since he was dropped because our goalscoring average has gone up!
  15. Mo Salah hadn't scored any goals for Liverpool before he joined them either! Omitting his goals with Livi wouldn't be a very equal comparison with Reilly, would it? And, indeed, the last comparison isn't very equal because it shows that we've been scoring more goals since Mullen replaced Reilly!
  16. 2 points. 1. I wasn't actually being serious 2. I don't think that is the main issue....
  17. Goodwillie's case didn't even reach a criminal court!
  18. Mullen has actually scored 6 goals in the Championship this season. Reilly has scored 11. In the last 5 games, where Mullen has started ahead of Reilly, we've scored 11 goals, an average of 2.2 goals per game. Our average before Mullen replaced Reilly was 1.8 goals per game.
  19. Alan Lithgow at centre half, David Robertson in midfield with Goodwillie up front alongside Chad Evans. That would see us sorted for next season.
