lovestlegend got a reaction from East Lothian Saint in Kibble/SMiSA Partnership Proposal (Merged)
Contacted SMISA to ask and there is no vote at the meeting. It’s being done online next week.

Got my reply...
Vote will be same as a normal SMISA vote via Very Connect system which has recently seen an upturn in registrations

Looking forward to a sensible, rational, grown-up debate on these proposals. Anyone know of a forum where I'm likely to find that?

We received around £25k for Jason Naismith when Ross County wanted to bring him in early after agreeing a pre-contract. I would expect something similar, though a bonus if we do get more, as we are not exactly in a position to release a consistent great performer without there being something in return for it.

lovestlegend got a reaction from Lord Pityme in Who's Out?
A striker would have been the priority before last week but with Magennis injured and McGinn probably away we now need cover for both. God knows when we’ll see McAllister again. 3 year deal now looking like a disaster. But him and McGrath should at least give us more creativity. I’d punt all 4 of the forward line that started yesterday. None of them reliable.

Cheers for the steer Aldo. Ordered a copy of Nutmeg last week and just finished reading the Bubbles article.
Such a heartbreaking story but great to hear so many Buddies like Mark Yardley, Jimmy Bone and Junior still speak so highly of him. Great read. -

Thoughts? I’d maybe have Kirk in beside one of the centre halves for experience. Not convinced by Waters either but can’t see us signing another LB. And not sure about left wing/midfield either. Both Andreu and Durmus blow hot and cold.

His abiliy to pass to his own team certainly deserted him.
Still, at our level, a good defender.

Felt he started well in his loan spell but faded badly. Was a liability in the first leg at Tannadice.

I worry about Ethan long term. He was overplayed for a long time out of position at an age where he needed to be used sparingly. Poor kid has been hung out to dry.

The 2nd table is SMISA committee members, their guests and other people connected to the club.
All are paying out their own pockets to support youth development.

lovestlegend reacted to Sonny in vs The Fakes 19 October
Jim's tactics are not working and need to change. He wants to defend in depth then counter attack on the break. The defend in depth is working but the tactics stop at that point. The team seem to be adopting a mind set of defending and playing it safe.
In comparison I watched Alloa the other night and they attacked on the break to great effect. They did it by fast forward passing to feet; one touch football and getting bodies up the park by breaking in all directions when they win the ball. Whereas we pass sideways and backwards allowing the opposition to get players behind the ball. The midfield sit far too deep leaving the forwards isolated and there is no running off the ball. All this resorts to Vaclev having to boot it up to a forward as he has few options trying to play it from the back.
Magennis is the only player willing to have a shot and is wasted out wide. He has to be pulled back into the middle and I would play him off a front man. We only need one defensive midfielder and I think Foley is best suited to that job. Allow Flynn to get forward more. Paul McGinn is one of the few who actually looks for and runs into space. If Waters doesn't up his game significantly by doing the same on the left (and passing forward keeping the ball in the park) then I would move Paul to left back and use Cammy McPherson at right back.
I also felt we lacked leadership in recent games. Although Sean and Kirky are both playing well the Bank brings leadership into the team and I would bring him back. Like wise Steven McGinn.
My team against the Fakes would be
Vaclev
McGinn Broadfoot The Bank Waters (last chance saloon)
Foley
Flynn Magennis McGinn Durmus
Mullen
