Anybody have any views on Nazon’s disallowed goal. Looked on side to me in W2. -

Will be very wet and very windy today a 16:00, according to BBC. Luckily we have a duck! -

St. Mirren and Paisley national stadium

I’ll get shot down for saying this but I doubt St .mirren could get anywhere near filling a 20k stadium. I’d love be believe that if we provided the product then the crowds would come. But I suspect a Scottish football is too parochial- every town has itks team. That’s not to say I don’t think that there isn’t room for a third major west of Scotland club- a bigot free zone. But my feeling is it would have to be something new and unburdened by historic affiliations. -
You win. ;)

They were probably getting a bit tearful and didn’t want it to show .... -

Actually, checking into this, I think it must have been when we beat Hearts in the cup semi in .... 1986. Mcgarvey goal in 88th minute. Truly we were their nemesis that year (ably assisted by their collapse at Dundee). -

What I liked is how every panel member wrote off St Mirren. That should fuel expectation and crowd discontent if we stick it to them. Edit: I still rembember Hearts fans of that era openly bawling their eyes out on the street (it might have been after a semi-loss to Aberdeen or someone). They’re an emotional lot ... -

The adding of like to sentence is a feature of Irish dialect. I previously suggested Schull might be Irish. Perhaps you are one and the same- a Jekyll and Hyde character?! -

We have a new character in the team. Seems very positive minded. -
Referee Statistics Andrew Dallas and others 2019

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47303498 Pressure for foreign referees. Hopefully this will also include assistant referees. Heres another idea: actively promote female match officials. They can’t do any worse than their male counterparts! -
There are some here who would have you call that half a litre rather than a pint!!
-
PS I’d rather have half full than half empty. Half of empty is zero. Half of full is half. I know what I’d rather have!! ;)

Read my post. He does more than allude. He makes absolute statements. Then squeezes in a get out at the end.

Deleted. Pasted into quote below. Sorry.

Pre-Split Remaining Matches
Paisleyporridge replied to oaksoft's topic in General St. Mirren Discussion
He’s very assertive- but equivocates in his final sentence. Weasel. Pretty bold viewpoint after our new team has played away games at Parkhead, Ibrox and Pittodrie. -
St Mirren are going to be relegated. .... Hope may not be completely extinguished, but it is already in its dying embers. http://www.thefootballlife.co.uk/post/182913631301/the-premiership-is-a-flat-circle-st-mirrens This guy seems to want to be seen as decisive- knocks St Mirren throughout his article- but adds a weasel statement right at the end. Weak.

EVERYONE needs to ‘like’ this with the cup symbol!!

Aberdeen v St Mirren 16/02/2019

Absolutely. Let the record show. No guarantee he would have scored as goalie relied on off-side decision but we were certainly denied a golden chance. -

My source: Kyle McAllister typified their energy-sapping effort overall when he was forced off with severe crampRead more at: https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/aberdeen/point-at-pittodrie-can-kick-start-st-mirren-s-season-insists-paul-mcginn-1-4874559 Anton: I’m not sure he has. He’s missed games. Maybe an 80% Anton and a 90% McKenzie will make a good contribution. But resilience of our squad depth at central defence must be a concern ... fingers crossed. -

Mate- I know you offer a counterpoint to irrational exuberance- but what facts do you have for the above statement? I thought I heard Kyle went off with cramp but also that he’s getting his fitness back and has almost played the full match. Anton, I don’t think we know about. A muscle thing was it? We don’t know enough to say it’s as bad as a kick in the sack. Enlighten us if you know more. Otherwise it would serve you and the forum well not to devalue your posts with unsupported statements. -
St Mirren v the West Lothian criminals
Paisleyporridge replied to Hendo's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Anybody know what the Livi malaise is? Last 6: lost 5, drawn 1 (yeah same as us but their team is unchanged(?)- our’s is new) Lack of squad depth/injuries? Emperor’s new clothes? Probation constraints? -

Paisleyporridge replied to Hendo's topic in Matchday & Travel Club
Livi are looking very shaky at the moment. Yes they have a 13 point cushion, but if that can be closed to 4 or 5 points it would be their squeaky bum time .... 36 points to play for ....
