  1. The Sky sources are top notch, don't disregard them. Very thorough with their sources Sky are. They were bang on about Aberdeen signing Yerdas Selzavon after all in January 2017.
  2. Agreed. If you really want to go down that route, Raneiri at Leicester. He won them the EPL and had them in the CL knockouts ffs. His sacking hardly means he was a failure.
  3. I imagine that's going to be down to GS and TF if the offer is good.
  4. Good luck to James, his contribution has been excellent to us. Assistant managers don't get the recognition they deserve because the managers get the plaudits (and criticism too in fairness), but it's clear that James has done a fantastic job working alongside Jack. Thank you James and best of luck! (minus beating Argyle)
  5. You've got to be really shite to get sacked before the league campaign starts. That being said if it was him or Tommy Craig I'd take Cathro
  6. It's a successful week as my five team accumulator succeeds. £3.99 for the week. 2018 - £21 spent on this bet Me: £18.23 won (-£2.67) Mate: £13.70 won (-£7.30) Got a £4.53 lead on my mate but we are still in loss on this bet.
  7. I think once the calendar ticks over to June the buzz will really begin for me. My Belgium top has arrived too. Still raging that Radja will not be there. Seriously hoping that Boyata will not be anywhere near Russia, can't believe he's made the 28 as it is. I'd rather take Denayer ffs.
  8. Regarding Jack and sneakiness? I'm not willing to hold it against him without the evidence of how the discussions came about. Managers can apply for jobs without informing their club. Sunderland, not Jack should have contacted our club when they became interested. Jack himself didn't do anything wrong. Perhaps Sunderland had told him it was being sorted it? Perhaps they said they already had contacted Saints. Perhaps their plan was to get Jack to agree terms and then contact Saints, but it was accidentally leaked. I don't think Jack was deliberately trying to screw the board over, I think Sunderland should have been doing things correctly.
  9. I don't buy into this Levein thing. There was a clear difference when Neilson left to the disaster that was Cathro. Levein himself has not been overly inspiring (4-0 v Celtic aside), claiming 6th would probably be meeting the minimum expectations.
  10. Top photo is today's bet, all or nothing now. Win and I keep the winnings, or lose it on the final day. Bottom photo is my wins/increases over the week.
  11. It's up to Sunderland to contact Saints, not Jack Ross. And it looks like we got a better compo deal out of it for the same outcome anyway.
  12. Saturday Bet - Liverpool v Real Madrid - Both Teams To Score - Yes £3.16. One day to go.
  13. I find them annoying. Annoying = Anti Football Like Ross needs to be replaced by a manager who likes to play football the football way, we need a drummer who can drum properly. I am not keen but perhaps others will disagree.
  14. Old and past it. We need someone with potential who's still young.
  15. There was that Dumbarton tambourine player...Surely a preseason and right coaching she could make the step up to full time drummer? We might be able to get them on the cheap, relegation release clause?
  16. I'm sure we could use the £1m and re-invest in a new drummer. Surely there's a decent one in League One we can buy for 200K, train up and sell on. Offer their club a sell-on of 20%?
  17. Day 5/7 successful. Put on a treble today. DUNDALK 5-0 Bray Wanderers (Football) POLAND 3-0 South Korea (Volleyball) (25-20, 25-18, 25-21) TAKUMA INOUE bt Waldo Sabu (Boxing) (1st Round Knockout) That takes me to £2.14 with two days left to get through. Got a feeling I'll be placing it on the Champions League final in some way.
  18. South Section Draw Group E - Partick Thistle, Morton, Albion Rovers, Ayr United, Stenhousemuir Group F - Hamilton Academical, Livingston, Annan Athletic, Berwick Rangers, New Airdrieonians Group G - Motherwell, Queen of the South, Clyde, Edinburgh City, Stranraer Group H - Kilmarnock, ST MIRREN, Dumbarton, Queen's Park, Spartans North Section Draw Group A - Ross County, Dundee United, Alloa Athletic, Arbroath, Elgin City Group B - St Johnstone, Falkirk, East Fife, Forfar Athletic, Montrose Group C - Heart of Midlothian, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Cove Rangers, Cowdenbeath, Raith Rovers Group D - Dundee, Dunfermline Athletic, Brechin City, Peterhead, Stirling Albion Not sure about anyone else but I'm really looking forward to Cowdenbeath and Cove Rangers meeting after that less than friendly second leg in the playoffs
  19. Okay. In that case let's release the entire squad because the new manager might not want any of them. Then the new man can make his own squad from scratch.
  20. I think the true meaning for Jack is that he will always have a place for the club in his heart. He enjoyed his time as a player, and his memories from the last 18 months will stick in his mind forever. It could well be his best time in football, taking a club from guaranteed relegation to title winners in a short space of time. It may be OTT to say SMTID, but perhaps it's his way of trying to say how much this club means to him. OTT maybe, as you say it's the fans who stick with a club thick and thin. But I believe his words are genuine. Best of luck to him (although I hope Argyle beat them to the title!)
  21. Welcome back Paul, good luck. We need full backs after losing three of them so this is decent, he knows what the SPL is about. Now convince John to go to Sunderland for £10m so we get our 30%, then convince him to come back a year later.
  22. Not often I agree with you but this is bang on. The "7-9 players" that Jack may have been looking at might be good enough for Saints, but if they were good enough to earn the wages Sunderland can offer we wouldn't be linked with them in the first place. This is also the reason I don't see Jack going in for Stephen McGinn, Gavin Reilly or Harry Davis as others have suggested. At most I could see Kyle Magennis and possibly Cammy Smith going there. Wouldn't rule out any youths who look good right now (Erhahon for instance). Sunderland are not your normal League One club after all, they are the big fish in the little pond.
  23. I don't agree with this at all. Levein would then have been "running the show" with the disaster that was Cathro, and Levein himself now isn't doing anything spectacular. Neilson had that young squad going well. A bad spell at MK Dons is not a reason to avoid him. Would you avoid McInnes because of his spell at Bristol City?
  24. Thursday was successful. Two Volleyball matches. Dominican Republic W 0-3 BRAZIL W TURKEY W 3-0 Argentina W 12p added, now on £1.94. 3 days left to get through.
