  1. The coverage of this is like watching the Winter Olympics all over again. Turned over to it after MOTD this morning, half an hour of the Clare Balding Show before we seen any sport. When will the BBC learn we tune in to these events to see sport and not Clare fkin Balding?
  2. One of the beautiful things about Laurel and Hardy is that they can appeal to a worldwide audience because most of the comedic parts are visual. My grandfather in Belgium can barely speak a word of English, but he finds Laurel and Hardy hilarious. It's great to see it can be appreciated in such a way, you don't get comedies like this any more.
  3. I wonder what the odds would have been at this time last year, for Saints to win the league and Livi to be in second place...
  4. It's a shame about the Livingston result but at least we did it on our side. United officially can't catch us now, and Livingston need everything from now to go their way. We are nearly there... I do feel sorry for Brechin, they've ran us tight in all four matches, and ran many others close too. Their 4pts doesn't really do them justice, hopefully they can sneak a win before the season finishes.
  5. He didn't need to die because he didn't need to be in there in the first place. He put himself in a situation where by committing a burglary he ran the risk of being injured or killed. When you are the victim of a burglary, you have no idea what the intentions are of the robber. As a result, I would do whatever it takes to protect myself and my family. f**k him. He brought it upon himself by terrorising others to fund his own life.
  6. I do agree with this. Of course distance is an issue for some, for others it's affordability or work. Unfortunately there are those who aren't affected by either, but will only turn up to big occasions anyway.
  7. In my case it's distance as my username would suggest. Before I moved away I attended all games home and away (minus the bigotdomes).
  8. If someone is thick enough and nasty enough to break into your house, they deserve whatever injuries they get. I've got a family to protect, I'll do whatever is necessary if an incident happens, and would feel no guilt if I killed the thief. Good on the 78yo man, he did what was right to protect what was his. f**k the thiefs.
  9. On one of my returns to Scotland I watched the Scottish Cup highlights and having heard good things, watched Limmy's Show straight after. I haven't watched it again since, I didn't find any of it funny and I'm one who's usually easily amused. Thankfully, BBC Southwest (probably all of England too) actually has the decency to show this series of Still Game, and a couple of lads at work can also appreciate the brilliance of it
  10. I think some of them really can't handle the fact they thought we were getting relegated last season and now we are on for promotion, while they still can't make a return to the top flight
  11. I remember a couple of years after that he was a pundit for the Scottish Cup final. During his time on air he said "If you have a striker you have somewhere to go". The irony was not lost on me...
  12. I was hoping this was going to be another Brechin thread... Disappointment!
  13. It's brilliant reading the arguments between them, those saying playoffs are at stake and they will support their club whatever the case, and the others saying they can't handle having us rub it in for 90+ minutes
  14. Didn't know he was still doing pundit work while managing us, I avoid Rangers (and Celtic) games at all costs so that is quite poor. That doesn't go well with how disastrous his second season was.
  15. Having Boris in a high profile position allows May to avoid some of the spotlight on her own failings. Remove Boris, there will suddenly be a lot more focus on the rest of them. Keep Boris, and everyone will keep looking at the idiot while the rest of them can carry on ruining everything.
  16. Bit harsh on Teale, Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn't have kept up that shite squad Tommy Craig left behind. Rae obviously left us in a precarious position which JR did the impossible and kept us up, but he did at least do something useful at the beginning and kept us up in our first season back down...so maybe only half of a crash and burn
  17. The point is that five times this season we have lost by 3 goals or more. That's my concern going into a better league next season.
  18. As great as this season has been, it's evident we need to improve or we will be straight back down. The two SPL sides we've met this season have pumped us, while Morton, Livi and Dunfermline have all secured 3 goal wins against us. I am sure JR will do what's required, his signings have saved our arses and (very nearly) got us promoted. No reason why he won't be able to sort it out again.
  19. I forgot about his spell at Bristol City, fair point. That being said, WBA is a much better opportunity for success and promotion than the Bristol City of years gone by.
  20. West Brom have a solid record of gaining promotion quickly (presuming they go down as expected). It would give McInnes a good chance to prove himself in England and if successful, have a shot at managing in the EPL, perhaps similar to Alex Neil taking his chance with Norwich.
