  1. God help us if a Falkirk reject was supposed to be Morgan’s replacement! Hippo can play in any attacking position. It wasn’t just Morgan keeping him out, it was Smith, Mullen and Flynn! Indeed, he was struggling to compete with Reilly and Sutton on the bench! He’s a championship player. Hence why he’s just joined a Championship side. Put it this way. If Hippo had stayed at Falkirk last season and Stubbs was signing him now, I bet there would be an even bigger meltdown! [emoji23]
  2. Those 15 include Donati, Irvine, Stewart, Todd, Duffy & Hippolyte. Think only Irvine and Todd started any meaningful games.... 3 between them!
  3. It’s actually baffling when you think about it that we had Mallan, Morgan, McAllister, Naismith, Hardie, Mackenzie, even Baird, yet we were bottom of the second tier!
  4. That’s cos Jack Ross didn’t rate him! Is Hippo your new Eddie Malone? [emoji12]
  5. He had his chance with Jack Ross as well and didn’t take it. If he couldn’t get a game for us in the Championship, do folk really think he was going to set the top flight on fire? He wasn’t even good enough for Falkirk FFS! He was a last minute signing to provide cover for the run in to last season. Nothing more.
  6. I actually rated Hardie and would have preferred him to Reilly. He certainly was an uknown quantity. Hippo isn’t an unknown quantity at all. He’s been with Livi and Falkirk for quite a while and Falkirk eventually got shot of him. My Livi supporting mate didn’t rate him either. Hippo wasn’t good enough for us. He’ll be one that divides the Dunfermline fans’ opinions.
  7. A shit Falkirk side let him go, he couldn’t get a game for us in the Championship and he’s now signed for another Championship side. If he wasn’t good enough for us in the Championship, what makes you think that he’d suddenly be good enough for the top flight? As for your last line, you may well be right. But it’s not really got anything to do with whether Hippo is good enough for the top flight or not!
  8. I always got the impression that Hippo was a desperate last minute signing. He was struggling last season with a shit Falkirk side. I work with a Livi fan and he didn’t really rate him. Defo not good enough for the top flight IMO
  9. FFS, a meltdown cos Hippolyte is leaving! [emoji23]
  10. Don’t agree. We’ve signed 2 new attacking midfielders, King and Kellerman plus a striker in Cody Cooke. We also brought in Mullen and Flynn in Jan and Ross Stewart is back again. It would be good to get more quality but don’t think we’re too short on bodies in attacking positions just now.
  11. If they get a pay off to leave then they might earn not far off what they would get by staying plus get a regular game
  12. Are you saying that you know better than English championship or lower Premiership clubs whether or not he is good enough for them? Really?
  13. Add insult??? Insult to what? The fact is that Celtic have bid way beyond what anyone has else has bid. Indeed, no-one else has bid! I really don't see how that makes Celtic tight? If it weren't for Celtic then we'd be getting zero.
  14. So why is no-one else bidding £3 million for John McGinn?
  15. There isn't any argument! I'm merely pointing out that what you are saying is wrong! If making stuff up keeps you happy then so be it.
  16. No it isn't! Its merely a line you have copied and pasted from Wikipedia! I'll take it up with you as you are the one who copied and pasted the irrelevant line and then attributed it to an organisation which has nothing to do with it!
  17. I can't quite understand why people think C*ltic are being tight. They've made the highest bid for McGinn so far! The likes of Rang*rs, Man United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Burnley, Derby, etc, etc, etc, etc have all bid £0.
  18. Deary me! Scotland currently has 4 clubs in Europe. We only had 4 clubs in Europe up until 82/83.... when winning the League Cup still carried the prize of European qualification!
  19. Scotland has as many clubs in Europe now as we did during most of the time when the League Cup winners received European entry! It was the clubs in Scotland who decided to do away with it. It rarely happened anyway as the League Cup winners virtually always qualified for Europe anyway via the League or winning the Scottish Cup. This change perevnts a "diddy" team qualifying for Europe via a flukey cup win over a higher placed league side.
  20. Wit! I'm being deliberately obtuse my correctly posting the truth?
  21. FFS - UEFA did not make the League Cup a non qualifier...... difficult to understand I know - but do try
