Along with the club Lambert kinda lost his way after the Cup win being part of the squad that was eventually relegated, IIRC he got sent off in his last game for us against Morton.
As an aside if you look at the successful Motherwell team from the mid-90's it contained Lambert, Billy Davies & Brian Martin for 3 years during which time they finished 3rd & 2nd in the league!
