  1. Bringing in so many foreign players without watching them in person is a huge risk. These players will have been brought to the club due to scouts recommendations and through DVDs/YouTube. But so far, Hladký & Popescu have looked solid in the Black and White so I'm hopeful the other foreign lads will turn out just as good.
  2. Believe it or not, virtually all the players that they are signing now, we tried to get. Kyle McAllister was one we enquired about, but he was injured. “We tried to get Lewis Morgan from Celtic and that was virtually done, until Brendan got a few injuries and we were asked to wait. “There were a number of other ones which were the same. “Listen, that’s football; sometimes deals fall for you, sometimes they don’t.

  4. Correct. Quite a few of us applauded the guy who was chuffed at winning the draw and rightly so. The W7 lads have done amazing work on matchdays and have significantly improved the atmosphere both home and away but last night the chants towards that guy was poor. Good to see the majority of Saints fans gave him a wee clap.
  5. An older gentleman who won Celtic's half time cash draw. He went around the ground getting applauded by every stand until he got to the away end The old guy clapped the Saints fans and waved his envelope around to which the singing section replied with chants of "paedo, paedo" along with lots of Felt quite sorry for him tbh and a few people around me were quite shocked by some of the stuff coming from the W7 lads. The guy gave as good as he got though replying with some of his own.
  6. Asked about Morgan’s situation yesterday, Rodgers said: “We’ve spoken about the idea of going on loan but he has a number of possibilities. “He loved his time at St Mirren but if he moves out then it will be somewhere different.”
  7. Despite TF saying we were very much in the mix, Looks like Morgy won't be coming back to Saints this month. Hull, Hibs & Aberdeen all in for him.
  8. Basically if you want to save a couple of quid, you can buy a restricted ticket seat but you will have the pleasure of staring at a huge green pillar for 90 minutes. The stewards in the past have been known to move fans who have bought 'restricted view' tickets and moved further up to get a better view.
  9. Several photographers down at the stadium this morning so can we assume another signing will be announced shortly.
  10. Polworth perhaps? His name has been mentioned quite a few times on the forum.
  11. Matchday Excited and Nervous at the same time considering how massive today's match is. Personally, I wouldn't change much from last weekend considering it was one of our better performances this season. If young Ethan can put a performance in like that against Rangers, I'm excited to see what he can do against Dundee. Hammill back in at RM with Willock dropping into McGinn's CM role. Possibly too soon to get Ginto in the starting XI but he may make an appearance later on in the match. Can't lose, Won't lose, F**k Kenny Miller COYS
  12. Hopefully OK and the team know the significance of tomorrows match and give it their absolute all for 90 minutes Our record at Dens Park seems to be quite decent in recent times so I'm very hopeful we can get another result there OK said recently that even though we are losing games, the fans can see the hard work and commitment from the players. Totally different situation tomorrow, the result is the only thing that matters. COYS
  13. Kevin Nisbet at Raith 15 goals in 12 games.. Worth a punt
  14. Personally, I think the ticket prices would have had a big impact on the low crowd yesterday. For a family of four to watch the match yesterday it would have cost 88 quid!! (£27/£17) We are meant to a club that tries to go the extra mile for families and the community, we certainly didn't show it yesterday
  15. Well I fully expected certain posters to jump on the 'Anti W7' bandwagon when the coin incident made the news.. I honestly don't see the issue here, fans complained for years that our stadium was soulless and dull and now we have a group of guys/girls who have put all their effort and hard work into improving the matchday experience for all. Turn the clocks back to 2009-10, you could hear a pin drop in our stadium most matchdays. (Oh sorry, apart from hearing all the Boo Boys ) We have a great singing group who give the team a big boost at home and away. Long may it continue. Keep up the good work Doakes & Co
  16. I'd rather we stop giving this daft incident all this attention as it's taking the focus away from quite a decent Saints performance. The moron who threw the 'coin' will be identified and banned. End of story In terms of our performance yesterday, the players can walk off that park with their heads held high after that. We showed no fear against that mob and were unlucky not to hold on. Young Ethan and Alfie Jones especially done themselves proud. Was also good to see a much improved Ryan Edwards from Wednesday night. Onwards to Dens
  17. Is it too soon to recall Eckersley back to the starting XI? Bit of a selection crisis at LB today with Hodson who's ineligible and Kpekawa who's... shite Would personally like to see us go 5 at the back and go out to frustrate Rangers like we did to Celtic. Samson, P.McGinn, Ferdinand, Baird, Jones, Eckersley, S.McGinn, Willock, Hammill, Smith, Jackson. #COYS
  18. It was good to hear Agnew confirm what several posters on here were speculating about when Spalding got the gig ie players unsure of him as he didn't have a playing background/Unpopular figure.. Was surprised about the Alex Miller comments though, I thought someone who has coached at the likes of Liverpool & AIK in recent times would have plenty of modern day methods for training.
  19. Agree with this ^^^ Unfortunately there is no 'pull factor' for tomorrow's game. We should be actively trying to get families to watch the games as they will ultimately be the next generation of Saints supporters but instead we kick them out the family stand, even charge them for tickets despite them being season ticket holders, take away their pre match entertainment and panda club... Oh aye, plus charging kids 17 Quid a ticket!
  20. I reckon big Anton should be appointed captain from this point onwards. The guy is a natural leader, talked young Alfie through the game on Wednesday and even made time to talk to the fans after full time. With nearly 300 appearences in the EPL, we should be making the most of his experience. In terms of McGinn, he had struggled big time in the Premiership this season, I suppose it doesn't help trying to captain players which he publicly criticised a few weeks into the season. I've got a lot of time for Top Bin considering how much he has done for the club but he had been poor all season, clearly not playing to his full potential and ultimately should be dropped IMO
  21. So Willie Gollum is the ref, it's nearly 30 quid a ticket, meant to be pissing from the heavens tomorrow, no panda club or pre match entertainment for the families as that mob have both stands and we need to listen to their sectarian bile for 90 minutes? What channel is it on again?
  22. Low Risk games basically meaning games in which there is a very low chance of conflict breaking out amongst supporters or anti social behaviour taking place. So if this model were to be used, I wouldn't expect the ban to be lifted at games against Morton or the OF but completely fine for any other fixture IMO
  23. Tbh I wrote that immediately after the defeat, possibly its slightly harsh on Oran. Just seems the away form hasnt changed all season, no creativity, 0 shots on goal. Frustrating day for all today. Hopefully big improvements on Wednesday Night
  24. When Stubbs was appointed, he was given four games before he was sacked... Kearney has been in charge for 5 games (1 draw, 4 defeats) Says it all tbh
